Priest for me are the worst band there, lol. If you like Megadeth's first 4 albums you'll love Testament, they're a better band in my opinion. Megadeth were good live when i saw them at Download 2007 but not amazing.

Ok, i thought Machine Head opening for Slipknot was good but in Febuary Testament and Megadeth are opening for Judas Priest. Now thats a f***ing good line-up. any other fans of these three bands?
  3. 2nd album was alright
  4. ...anyone got it? if so is it any good? i heard the single Down From The Sky and its alot better then anything from their third album which was proper $h!t.

  6. Ronnie James Dio - Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio and made various guest appearances with other bands such as Deep Purple and Tenacious D
  7. Even those legal ones? The ones that make up most of the doctors and nurses in the NHS and play vital roles in other sections of the superstructure of britain?

Ghost Town is a great song but not the best by The Specials, i preffer Friday Night Saturday Morning, Message To You Rudy or Too Much Too Young. Even with it not being my fave Specials song i still like it more then Adam and the Ants.

    Propper $h!t year imo
  10. Well it could be argued that both points are the reason for them being attacked. America's role in the Somalian civil war during the early 90's spread Al Qaeda and futhered the hatred of the west and America inparticular in Africa. The biased helping of Israel has been discussed before on the forum and i don't deny that their involvement with eachother makes them prime target for terrorists. But can't America aiding Israel against their enemies be seen as them policing that area of the world? They had an aggressive foreign policy before Bush, 9/11 gave the bush administration the excuse for more agression and thus terrorist attacks from Al Qaeda have increased. A war with Iran would only make the problem worse IMO and therefore i'd side with Obama if i was an American cos it seems like he generally wants to mend what Bush has done wrong and get the f*** out of there.
  11. Righteous cause? What a big load of bollocks. If America had kept itself to itself it most likely wouldn't of been attacked. The fact that it acts like a world police force pisses these factions off and the Americans get bit in the arse for it. If they didn't act like world police and still get attacked i'd have sympathy for them. There's 2 tradegies in this whole thing, the first is the death of thousands of innocent civilians on 9/11 because of their governments aggressive foreign policy makes Americans the figures of hate for most of the world. The second the unlawful war for oil/money that was the scapegoat for the terrorist attacks. America has no right to be in any country but their own. I hate politicians *cough* Bush *cough* McCain who think they have the right to storm into any country and police it. It's acts like that that got them attacked in the first place.
  12. Hmmm it's pretty good, abit long at 74 odd minutes and James voice doesn't suit some of the lyrics but the right feeling is there.
  13. yeah.... who the f*** is Kate Garner?
  14. she was fit back when she was in Lethal Weapon 2...... but now not so much.
  15. Squeeze should be a household name just for Cool For Cats..... thats a f***ing AMAZING song. I love it.
  16. Well as a Iron Maiden fan..... Paul Di Anno to Bruce Dickinson, Paul was best suited for their first 2 albums, infact in my opinion best suited then any other singer in rock/metal at the time, however Bruce was amazing after the first 2 albums when he came in. Blaze Bayley after Bruce was just $h!t. And as a big Black Sabbath fan.... Even though Ronnie James Dio is a better singer then Ozzy he can never replace Ozzy. The best Sabbath was done with Ozzy and no-one can change that. Anthrax. Neil Turbin replaced by Joey Belladonna.... good call Belladonna is fantastic. Belladonna replaced by John Bush..... oh dear.
  17. There's only one good song that Phil Collins has had a say in and thats Land Of Confusion

A song that if played in a club, everyone knows the words..... well the chorus in most cases (eg living on a prayer) as well as enjoying it to a degree.

But that is based on true events.... the killings of Ed Gein.... who did make things out of peoples body parts.
  21. Thrash Metal, Hard Rock, Traditional Metal, Motown, Classical and a few other things here and there (some Death metal, jazz, pop/rock) is what i like.
  22. 9zNb0d9ctGU Ok, it's what i wanted to hear from them, but also it isn't at the same time.... if that makes sense. As a couple of you know i'm a big fan of thrash metal, so this song being fast should make me overcome with joy right? WRONG! The tempo is good, but there is something about the production that makes it sound abit bland. Don't get me wrong, i do like it, just out of the thrash veterans that are releasing albums right now there are bands doing better. Slayer of course always have sounded fresh and the 2006 album 'Christ Illusion' is a great example. Other examples are Testament and Death Angel, who came around in the wake of Metallica but to me at this time sound so much better. Testament - More Then Meets The Eye pK10YWuzwL8 Death Angel - Dethroned sWy1kFe2oCs Slayer - Jihad 2lnqisqwxJc
  23. i deffo going to see them at Birmingham in December after their drop out at Leeds, especially with Machine Head opening for them. 2 of the most important bands in metal right now on the same bill..... f*** yeah.
  24. It's out today, i got it, still trying to get used to it.... takes me a few listens of an album to form an opinion of it. What is clear is that these songs have a 80's thrash metal inspiration from them, the guitar solo on the title track could of easily been mistaken for one composed by Slayer. Peoples views required.
