This is looking like the ultimate fan base album chart battle. Where would you put your vote for which act will take the #1 in 1. The UK 2. The US ?

I do think that after the Demi Lovato Tour, Fifth Harmony were indeed inspired by the more sassier sound of LM and choregraphy. Although they may not be reaching a market outside their fan base with it. at least in America.

In a way but in a way not. All things being equal, it's not the kind of song that has #1 written all over it. It is quite dull/safe and no one though it would chart high anyway. They had a week with little competition and would not have been a contender if it wasnt for that and the x factor performance. They got a better charting than deserved.

I think their strategy is focused on maximising album sales. They have already released two singles from this album and normally only do three proper single releases from an album anyway. I suspect they may do another two more between now and the next album next year and those will surely be for those outside the fanbase.

No, it's to coincide with their US release for the billboard chart. Tactical international planning. That's why their video which contributes to billboard also doesn't come out til mid week. Definitely for the uk chart, The Wanted have the advantage with 6 weeks radio play and the X factor performance. That's enough of an argument for 1D to use without given themselves another disadvantage.

I suspect that he was just shafted in favour of the big names 'Katy Perry' and 'Robin Thicke' or thought it might be best to use the Xfactor slot to promote the album instead. That makes more business sense and could also extend the chart performance of the single at the same time.

I know, but I was comparing like with like. 'We own the Night' was oa/os which they're not doing for this release (since it didn't work for them).

1D are stuck touring so I doubt they'll be much promo. Their first week sales for the last singles - best song ever and walks like Rihanna were around the same 75K with 1D doing the on air/sale strategy. So it will surely be a close call.

Also means The Wanted have the MAJOR advantage for their single battle with 1D, especially as they also have weeks of radio play and 1D are doing the on air/sale with 'Story of My Life'.

Tbh, I am surprised they ditched Union j who are releasing as well in favour of a rival band whom they have no loyalty to. It is hardly that they could justify this by arguing the The Wanted are a big booking for X factor. Unless Union j are on next week to prompt the album instead of the single.

Gary Barlow- Since I saw you Last, did badly with his first album, but people are interested in him again and he has sold well for his tour dates. # One Direction-Midnight Memories do well and have good pre- orders Susan Boyle- Home for Christmas also is a great seller and would appeal to the Christmas market. X factor- Greatest hits is time fitting and has a great tracklist. I cant call it. I think if Gary has the Take That support, he may just take it.

I read today in the Metro that The Wanted were so desperate for an X factor slot that they are travelling from Mexico (I think) at a cost of £250,000 just to perform this or next week (cant remember) @Show me Love (America) before rushing back to do a gig. I don't know where those figures come from, but it doesn't seem worthwhile. they have a lot of radio support and have already released 5 songs from this album.

But they have a fan base- building on twitter as well. Didnt their Carry You still have decent first sales? Plus they probably have an x factor performance to given sales a boost.

Hmm I am not sure about this anymore. From her twitter Keisha is in the states. When I think about it it seems odd that after Sweet 7 majorly bombed that Keisha would do songs in a similar style for her solo project . Also isnt she working with Cathy Denis. I would imagine her album to be more pop or pop rn'b.

Hmm. I guess we all have our Judgements but from my perspective the fact that she was accused once (at the age of 13) makes her an easy target to be accused of it again. It wasn't long before the accusation that Amelle was twittering about having Keisha spend the night. I'm not sure I'd invite someone who was bullying me and whom was making my life hell out on a night out and then to spend the night. ...Who knows but If we are to judge Amelle so harshly why is no one talking about her previous violent assaults. Like Keisha nothing has been proven but there has been more than one incidents. Does that not mean she is a violent aggressive person?

but she admitted they did not get on well. It's not like she has totally denied that this weren't good. She admitted that much on her twitter.
