I think if everything was fine she would probably have mentioned it? The interview literally made a point of saying that Jesy refused to address the relationship between the other girls which does sound like things are less than harmonious at the minute which is disappointing but understanding. Jesy sounds so happy and her comments regarding her leaving were as I initially thought; she struggled with being in a girl group & not necessarily in the public eye.

I agree with you Jack, it’s such a noticeable drop in quality. With the new characters too, because it’s so short now they are barely developed at all so there is no one to root for. The fact that Chloe had literally one line in the whole series is ridiculous.

I’m halfway through series 4 now and I’m shook at the downwards spiral in quality. I understand that newbies have to come in this kind of show but there has been literally zero focus on any of the original students bar the odd scene.

I started this on Netflix and I’m currently at the end of S2 but think it’s been so good! It’s strange though, how Missy went from being the main character in S1 to a side character in S2. The girl playing Nas is a great actress, and I’ve also loved the whole Naveed and Corey storyline too!

I actually thought the judges were pretty cruel towards Utica this week and it didn’t sit well with me. Her jokes were clearly based around size which wasn’t cute but the judges said at the beginning to go as far as you can and that nothing is off limits so I found their reaction to be quite bizarre? It’s one thing to not find her funny but I found the guest judges response to one of Utica’s jokes (no you’re bombing or wtte) just plain mean? previous queens take the piss out of Michelle’s girl group career etc to no clap back so I’m not sure why the guest judge did it. I’m glad Utica went because you really could tell the judges didn’t get her in the end too.

I think this album is great, people defo hate on him for the littlest things - there’s nothing really wrong with the artwork either IMO. Ghost, Somebody and Unstable are my favs atm

I’m super sad as I thought A’Whora was actually pretty funny, and surely if she was being too vulgar it should’ve been picked up by Alan to change it? Nevertheless I think she was funnier than Lawrence and Ellie so I’m quite sad that she went on this challenge. Regarding the whole Ellie thing, I don’t think she deserved hate for the placings however I agreed with Lawrence that asking if they were okay with it afterwards was a bit of a kick in the teeth when she wasn’t going to change it.

I think with the Saturdays they’ve all been pretty successful in their own right in new ventures specifically Rochelle, Mollie and to a lesser extent Frankie and Una so I don’t imagine they’ll ever reunite. Certainly not in the near future.

You’re making the assumption (like a lot of other people) that she left the band because of the trolling etc, when she has clearly stated that it was the pressures of being ‘in a band’ that Jesy didn’t like. Launching her own solo career on her own terms, ok’ing her own promo schedule, visual style etc is totally different. You sound like your already made your mind up regardless.

I’m excited, of all the girls she seemed to be the one compromising her own music taste for the band so I’m looking forward to hearing what a Jesy single sounds like.

I dunno, I think Sonny skated better which is really what it’s about - his performance was more difficult and executed better with more speed etc to me.

Lady Leshurr was over marked it anything tonight IMO, her solo skating was slow and her judges challenge was weak too!

I think it’s really important that we remember that Jesy didn’t actually say that she left the band because of trolling - she left because of the pressures of being in a girl group, we all know that she struggled with video shoots/ comparing herself to the other girls etc. I’m not saying that the trolling she received didn’t play a part of course, but I just think it’s important that we don’t go down that road when we don’t actually know.

They don’t have to you’re right, but for a group who have base themselves around their friendship and sisterhood etc (and given how much they usually post on Insta etc) it is odd that they each didn’t individually acknowledge Jesy’s departure, except from one pretty generic official statement. We get that they may have said things in private etc and that’s fair, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to question why they’ve been so quiet on that front.

It’s nice to see Jesy more active on socials - I wasn’t expecting to so quickly..
