i just finished the snatch game episode and was thinking that it's one of the best seasons for a loooong time ! it's making me want to move back to spain lol

kylie's first two looks were great but the third was a piece of fabric tied around her waist and some more fabric glued to a bra!!! sad for jan and scarlet already as they have done great both weeks but being kept safe. a'keria is also rly doing it for me after i was v lukewarm on her in s11

EP 1 WIN art HIGH karen, maxi LOW coco BTM2 elektra OUT jojo i rly hesitated between coco and jojo for the OUT here, but every time i remember jojos naked look i’m like yea she deserved it. maxi is kinda in the top by default as i didn’t care for scarlets (plus it was ripped) and was kinda… uncomfortable with etc’s concept of a mutilated non binary body. art winning this sets us up for snatch game gag perfectly. EP 2 WIN anita HIGH elektra, etc LOW karen BTM 2 coco OUT art i think we are all in agreement here honestly. anita killed it. etc was HILAR but needed a lil guidance on what could hurt people when taken too far. art in shock elim. EP 3 WIN scarlet HIGH kita, elektra, anita LOW maxi BTM 2 karen OUT coco this is the point where they should have realised karen wasn’t gonna be the one, so no need to protect her from the bottom by making up the whole elektra being too good business. still would be good for the scarlet / elektra rivalry for scarlet to win this battle tho. toyed w the idea of a double sashay here (which wouldn’t be out of the question tbh) but karen would squeak through after her good showing in week 1. EP 4 WIN art HIGH scarlet, maxi BTM 2 anita OUT karen art back with a bang- storyline immediately back on track. also means there is no need for the anita shock elim. etc didnt rly deserve to be low so just havin a bottom 2 this week. karen gets an emotional goodbye from ru to ensure that her legacy isn’t totally shattered. EP 5 WIN elektra HIGH kita, anita LOW maxi BTM 2 scarlet OUT etc scarlet rly deserved to be in the bottom this ep, as hers was WAY more offensive than etcs. etcs was ok but lacked substance. sad we wouldn’t get maxi’s microphone moment lipsync but i’m sure it would have been a good one. EP 6 WIN kita HIGH art, elektra LOW anita BTM 2 scarlet OUT maxi anita probably wouldn’t have done great. kita finally gets a win and starts cementing herself as a contender like her other nz sisters already had. art is on the winning edit. EP 7 WIN scarlet HIGH kita SAFE art BTM 2 elektra OUT anita OK this is where it gets uncertain. scarlet gets a win after her 2 bottoms and is a contender again. kita continues to impress (i thought her act was cute and entertaining). art was funny enough to be kept safe. everyone was genuinely GOOD so the critiques for elektra based on her look are kinda justifiable, plus she hasn’t rly stumbled in a while. no idea what anita would have done but there is no way we could have 3 nz queens in the final so one of them has to go, and she hasn’t won a challenge since week 2. TOP 4 art - 2 wins, 1 btm (elim) elektra - 1 win, 2 btm kita - 1 win, 0 btm scarlet - 2 win, 2 btm WINNER art simone

(saying that i know it’s so easy to judge in hindsight as fans - they are obv all great queens who deserved to be there (scarlet aside) so i feel rly bad for them that the season has been perceived this way. hope we get to see more of art and karen in particular in the future)

all they had to do was have art win episodes 1 and 4 (which she honestly deserved to) and it would have all made sense. instead they clung to the hope that karen would start performing well later in the game and she just… didnt. final should have been scarlet - anita - kita - art but production unfortunately just miscalculated too many times and dug them self into a hole.

i agree with both sides tbh. on a purely aesthetic level my first thought when inti came out was that the dress and shoes were disparate from the rest and i would have loved the textures and colours of the headpiece and cape to run through the whole thing. but also it must be incredibly frustrating for inti to be critiqued in that way when she's the only one who knows intimately what she was portraying on the runway. she was easily the worst in the challenge, and has been generally low energy throughout, but she has also been hit with critiques that are likely to drain your enthusiasm for the competition rather than galvanise you to fight harder. i understand why she left the way she did, i'm sure many of us would have done the same, i just wish the judges could have been a bit more supportive in a way to make her want to continue on. overall, v much an oversight on the judges part with regards to the effect of the feedback they are giving, but i believe they were well-intentioned at least (not saying this is an excuse for insensitivity, especially on a cultural level). hopefully they realise this and hold themselves more accountable moving forward rather than labelling ini as 'the one who gave up despite us trying to 'help' her'.

rosé, jan, utica for me now. happy but a lil shocked to see gigi still doing well here. thought she wasn't so well liked but had she been on s13 there would honestly have been NO competition.
