I cannot take this article seriously all those singers including Adele are pop singers not Soul singers. To even include Pixie who strains to hit high notes is a joke it kind of reminds me of what Estelle said. "Singling out Adele and Duffy, who she knocked off the number one spot at the weekend, she says: "I'm not mad at them, but I'm wondering - how the hell is there not a single black person in the press singing soul? Adele ain't soul. She sounds like she heard some Aretha records once, and she's got a deeper voice - that don't mean she's soul. " I am pleased for Adele but I think the basis of why she has done so well is two things. It is ridiculous to make a snide remark about the X-factor.Adele has been a constant in the charts due to X-factor and mostly Gamus rendition of Make you Feel My Love. Her video and radio airplay has been rather strong because of that so she was never forgotten. Secondly her record company picked a brilliant debut single to launch her album Rolling in the Deep is brilliant, radio friendly, appeals to all age groups and shows her voice off perfectly, her publicity has been on point and she has been everywhere promoting.I think she is so refreshing compared to too many of her peers who either mime-Cheryl or cannot sing live well-Katy.

The Wanted all the way-they have more credibility, better songs, they dont seem to be in it to just exploit there very young fans.

Totally agree the Mercedes and Rachel duet was the best song of a very poor series so far.Cannot understand why talentless Justine even got a tribute show while Beyonce, Aretha, Motown, Rihanna have had none. I wonder if Chris Brown is going to get a BRIT nom next year.
  4. Free single of the week it would have to be-I still dont want to hear it ever again

I know I am late to the party but LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem has to be the worst song of the year if not ever.J-Lo is looking at a good few weeks at No 1.
  6. Not sure if anyone watches this show but Alex latest tweet:Sisqo the other judge was the choreographer on her tour. alexandramusic: So tonight - I'm a guest judge on So you think you can dance ! Don't forget to tune in !! RT

I have a soft spot for Heart only because my favorite music is old RnB and Motown.I do not mind the repeated songs but it would be nice if they could occasionally play songs that have a rapper as a featured artist. The music of today pales in comparison to the Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Joe Cocker, Diana Ross classics.

THANK-YOU  Much prefer Capital, Kiss and Heart-plus R2 get almost double the listeners of R1. Teenage Dream is by far her best song shame it missed No 1.

For the love of God stop your sad obsession with me-new year-move on. I see you missed the post about your need to be pedantic all the time.
  10. Sabrina, Marina, Kate Nash and VV Brown should have had hits last year and with so much crap getting to No 1 it is beyond me. How Lissie and When I'm Alone did not go Top 10 is a travesty, best song of 2010. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i7jNwv_3oc

Pedantic is his middle name.I think J-Lo and Lil Wayne are a better fit Pitbull is a poor rapper, I think she will go to No 1 with I'm Into You.Her earlier songs were still better it is a shame to see her going so commercial.

I doubt the BJ posters are mostly grown men though but the R1/Start Without You thing was ridiculous, it will be interesting to see if they playlist Alexs new single.Surprised Nicky Minaj is not doing better. As much as I dislike Chris Brown he killed it on Dancing with the Stars US. http://www.theybf.com/2011/03/29/video-chr...ts-results-show
  13. It is worse than being tortured to death and she looks like walking, talking VD.Just dreadful in everyway, RedOne has lost it big time not that he as much good anyway.

That has got to be the funniest thing I have ever read on BJ, just surprised it did not come from vidcapper. The difference is that Laza is far better and less annoying than Pitbull and FloRida

Totally agree it is one of J-Lo worst songs ever. The song is truly tripe, Pitbull adds nothing and I do not know why she has lowered herself to this.I like J-Lo she has talent and is versatile but the song screams desperate for a hit no matter what.
  16. That Pitchfork review is out of order on a grand scale just mean spirited.Jessie has real authentic talent but her record company got greedy and rush released her album when it really needed stronger songs.Truly to compare her to talentless spoilt brat Rebecca and the worse rubbish ever written is beyond a joke.

I think its a bit premature to hail Eliza as a one hit wonder. She is in the same boat as too many of the new crop of singers that commercial radio is just not playing her music and her profile is rather low.I think she has the potential to turn it around but needs stronger material. Her album is really good. I hope Susan Boyle and that awful cover start to drop, I imagine Syco will suck the poor woman dry and she will end up penniless.
  18. I am shocked at this as it would mean Syco are getting it right if they release a single in April as there are not any big releases that month(Bey might though).Alex posted this tweet so who knows. Missing my #Beasties and @TweamBurke - Single coming soon baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #Album2
  19. I am sticking to my point I do not see what Alexs brother and whatever he has or has not done has to do with Alex plus how many posts about him does she have to make.It is petty and Sabrina is and has always been a big JLS fan.

Such awful news her voice was unique and she did not get the credit she deserved.I hope we get radio and music channel tributes this week. Her songs need to be back charting, a voice that reflected the good old days when singers could sing and sing live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMHu9zKDFhI

The presenter did not keep asking qau The presenter did not badger him or keep asking question she was very polite and is a well respected presenter. He started to loose his temper early on but I think he had agreed to answer questions about Rihanna but the guy is clearly odd. Its true he is not talented enough to be so arrogant and alot of people had been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He seems stupid to loose it the week his album comes out.No pity for him whatsoever.

How very sad Loleatta Holloway the lady behind Love Sensation', which was sampled by Black Box for 'Ride on Time" (they used that miming skinny model in the video) and Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch for 'Good Vibrations' has passed she was 65, her voice was stunning-RIP http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...ure-age-64.html

A stress ball that is hilarious, do they work.I think his issues go deeper than what a stress ball can cure.I was hoping he had turned over a new leaf and even downloaded Champion but the guy is dumb. It is depressing to see the BEPs doing so well there music if so bad these days, I think the American domination is starting to creep back in.Wish Parade would reclimb.

I wonder if this is true about Chris Brown his comeback had been going so well, I know some on BJ doubted his sincerity but WTF. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...na-assault.html
  25. Very disappointed at that, I hope sales pick up.It is actually a really good album with a good mix of uptempo and ballads.I think Nicole will always be a niche act though that finds it hard to move beyond her fanbase.
