  1. More like 0.6-0.7. Bieber's only at 0.6 now late in the day. NHS Choir needs an average of 0.4-0.5 for the entire week in order to win.
  2. NHS Choir has got to push Bieber combined to around 0.4-0.5, and that's only to finally draw level with him. So to make up with the fact that, even up till now, they are losing to him for a day or two at least, they'll have to push that down even further for the last couple of days. Doable, but this is certainly not a gimme beating Bieber.
  3. How much of a lead on iTunes would it need overall probably to beat Justin and overcome his streaming? Twice as much?

Adele likely to be 350k-400k this week? As oppose to the 450k-500k some where suggesting because of the X factor?

Avicii seems to have increased its lead on itunes, might be around for a while yet.
  6. I wonder if Candle In The Wind will break 5 million?
  7. Goyte will probably overtake her.
  8. But its absolutley nowhere near Thriller in worldwide sales. Adele's around 20 million, Thriller is near 70 million. This is the UK charts, which fair play to her is very successful, but I mean come on, maybe in the UK this statement could be true for most of the rest of the world its not.
  9. It would have done in bygone eras but sadly the album chart is so pathetically weak right now it probably take an age alright. 10th got 7.8k last week.
  10. Whats I gotta feeling doing back in the top 40? Was that on the voice as well? God it must be the most overplayed song this century I wish it would just go away.
  11. Is she likely to overtake Will Young shortly?
  12. Because 60s-90s music is still very popular. Some of the younger generation are keen to discover music from the past if they get bored of the current chart music.
  13. So Queen selling around 50k a year? Should pass 6 million by 2014 then??
  14. I don't think it was, back to bedlam, spirit and back to black have proven that modern albums can get clost to the top 10 at least. I mean Back to Black is only just over 2 million short of the record in itself, so it was never completely impossible. Recent music has often done better in the album chart than in the singles chart, I mean is anything recent EVER going to break Candle In The Wind's record????
  15. Incidently does anyone know how close Back to Bedlam is from entering the top 10?
  16. Not forever she wont. She possibly could make it I agree in time, like 5-10 years or more. But it's nowhere near the all time selling list of the world anyway, which is a bigger market (PHEW). Then of course, Queen members will die, leaving a trail of a new generation to discover their music boosting their sales haha (joking).
  17. Those other albums are still selling, Abba have sold nearly 400k in the best part of 2 years for example, so its not as clear cut as you think.
  18. The 'Dark Side Of The Moon' sold around 50 million worldwide. So we'll see if Adele can break that, there's more to the UK market remember. No shes not, Dire Straits span across decades, we'll see what she does with next album, and the one after that. In addition she's not as high on the worlds list. I don't think she's even CLOSE to the top 10 at the moment, or even top 20, or even top 30? Michael Jacksons Thriller will stand at number 1 probably for the remaining future, with sales of 60-70 million of whatever it is.
  19. Does anyone know how much Michael Jacksons Thriller has sold since his death?? I have one source here claiming Thriller has sold 1.49 million in the US alone since his death as of june 2011. http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/industry/re...005251752.story The Album has sold near 70 million copies, but it's been stuck on that figure for a few years now so I'm wondering what an updated list would give. Surely he must gotten a boost on that figure since his death. Does anyone know what Michael Jacksons Thriller sales officially are and are there any albums in line to overtake it right now??

I'm sure Jessie J will have number 1 this week. Can she hold on for next week though?? I would like a number that gets more than 1 week. She would need to hold off shm wouldn't she??

Is that 21's sales up by 30.9%? In that case we're looking at about 45k-50k this week?

When is it likely that these itunes gift cards will stop taking effect in the charts?
  23. Sharpshooter posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Well if she's only at 16 million, with the majority of her sales done, she may not even break 25m I would have thought? It's amazing feat considering the number of year 2000+ albums selling above 20 million are minuscule.

Thriller's worldwide sales are 110 million, whats Adele's now?

We'll see that's debatable. I saw her weekly sales once at about 23,000 a few months back then of course then it rose because of Christmas. Those other albums are still selling too. Will she beat the worldwide sales of Michael Jackson's Thriller? I guess that's her next target isn't it?
