Does anyone know how much Michael Jacksons Thriller has sold since his death?? I have one source here claiming Thriller has sold 1.49 million in the US alone since his death as of june 2011. http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/industry/re...005251752.story The Album has sold near 70 million copies, but it's been stuck on that figure for a few years now so I'm wondering what an updated list would give. Surely he must gotten a boost on that figure since his death. Does anyone know what Michael Jacksons Thriller sales officially are and are there any albums in line to overtake it right now??

I'm sure Jessie J will have number 1 this week. Can she hold on for next week though?? I would like a number that gets more than 1 week. She would need to hold off shm wouldn't she??

When is it likely that these itunes gift cards will stop taking effect in the charts?

Well if she's only at 16 million, with the majority of her sales done, she may not even break 25m I would have thought? It's amazing feat considering the number of year 2000+ albums selling above 20 million are minuscule.

Thriller's worldwide sales are 110 million, whats Adele's now?

We'll see that's debatable. I saw her weekly sales once at about 23,000 a few months back then of course then it rose because of Christmas. Those other albums are still selling too. Will she beat the worldwide sales of Michael Jackson's Thriller? I guess that's her next target isn't it?

How much does the itunes album chart make up a proportion of album sales anyway?? Quite small isn't it??

Queen Greatest hits album have probably sold over 6 million by now. So whether she beats that or not is another thing.

I was doing some research into this actually. XFF hung around the top 3 for the first couple of days last year and then fell to 10th by the end of the week on itunes. Jason Derulo and BEP were in the same position as what Ellie and Nicole were this year but XFF still outsold those two easily (by about 30k). I know the song sold better in it's opening week compared to this year, but it took Peter Kay to beat them with his physicals then. So itunes was very unrepresentative this time last year. Don't underestimate XFF IMO.

Doubt it, towards the end of the week the updates were showing Ellie making bigger gains than XFF. Wednesday to thursday update for example XFF only went from 96.2k to 100k. Not sure the CD sales are going to make much difference tbh.

So...JLS to take the number 1 spot next week? Or can Rihanna defy the odds again and hold on for a third week. Her lead is still pretty big after all?

TT are going to be number 1 but they aint gonna sell over 100k. Maybe people are overestimating TT sales this year? Some people were suggesting that TT's album would beat Gaga by the end of the year. Not so sure now.

If this song is as big as people thing it is, could it hold off JLS next week? I'm getting tired of this X-Factor merry-go-round.

Bear in mind that Gaga was down in 4th and 3rd for the early part of the week so she'll have to extend her lead quit a bit overcame that little deficit.

I thought Pass out had another version in the 70s? Would that not help it hold it up?
