I've just got a feeling Haiti isn't going to be number 1. I think Owl might hold them off.

Well everyone thought Jedward were a sure Number 1 and they weren't. So maybe Haiti will fail as well and flop? It wouldn't suprise me either if Haiti failed to get to number 1.

Any chance of this not getting to number 1? Could Owl City hold this off as well?

I don't think Haiti will be number 1 for that long personally. The media attention is dying down and music sales through tradgedies are usually based on how much of a media attention there is at the time of when sales are released. If it had been released say, a week after, it could have been (of course that's not possible). There's also a lot of negativity about the way the aid is being distributed at the moment which is putting people off as well I'd imagine.

Anyone want to have a rough guestimate at what potential sales figures we are looking at for this? There was a lot of talk it could be bigger than Band Aid. Band Aid sold around 3.5 million. Could it really be bigger than that? Considering the biggest selling single last decade was only 1.8 million by Will Young? What sort of sales prediction could it achieve? A million+ maybe? I'm just curious you see as theres an awful lot of big acts and awful lot of hype. So it could be anything?

Iyaz only 2/3rds of Owl City's now. Iyaz's lead was nothing like that at the beginning, I'd be amazed if Owl doesn't get to number 1 now. I'd say he'll be twice as far ahead come saturday evening.

Does anyone know the current sales of Sex On Fire? If it is likely to surpass 860k? Number 14 is going to be really close with Gaga and Leona lewis.

The bookies have had Joe nearly all of the latter end of this week. Even going as high as 1/10, currently about 1/3-1/2. The bookies usually have a good record in these vote/phone in/popularity contests so we'll see.

If the RATM people are so sure of winning it, then why do the bookies still have Joe as 1/4? I mean they must know all the download charts and record sales, bookies know EVERYTHING. Particularly in events such as this. It seems the fact that Joe is only a 1/3 of RATM in the bar chart doesn't bother them.

No that was the wednesday update which we recalled them as selling 92k. So they did (on tuesday). They sold 83k on sunday and monday.

Um were they all downloads?

It'll stop when people get bored of the show. When their sales are less than 300k etc
