How much does the itunes album chart make up a proportion of album sales anyway?? Quite small isn't it??

Queen Greatest hits album have probably sold over 6 million by now. So whether she beats that or not is another thing.

Well I assuming they've got the no.1 this week sewn up, so was thinking whether or not they could hang on for next week. I was thinking too far ahead lol.

Flo Rida has extended his lead. Reckon he could hang on for a second week now??
  5. Does anyone think it could be the biggest selling album of all time in the world?? And if not how could she achieve that?

Well he wouldn't of sold any on sunday and he would have saturday to come? We'll see anyway.

Matt's still number 2 on itunes so you'd think his physicals will have an impact later on this week. He's not that far behind.
  8. I presume Matt will still hang on with his physicals.
  9. Who 450k. That's a pretty big ask.

If you do a bit of research you'll see they were doing this last year. They fell to 10th by the end of the week but still outsold #1 and #2 by 30k, I repeat, not 4k or 5k, 30k. They would have gotten to no.1 quite comfortably if it hadn't been for Peter Kay frontloaded charity song (who ironically was something like 16th on itunes that week).

People are failing to realise that XFF did this last year, and fell to number 10 on itunes by the end of the week. Jason Derulo and BEP were in Nicole and Ellie's situation on itunes this time last year. However XFF still walloped them and beat them both by 30k, and would have been number 1 if it hadn't been for Peter Kay's charity single.
  12. I was doing some research into this actually. XFF hung around the top 3 for the first couple of days last year and then fell to 10th by the end of the week on itunes. Jason Derulo and BEP were in the same position as what Ellie and Nicole were this year but XFF still outsold those two easily (by about 30k). I know the song sold better in it's opening week compared to this year, but it took Peter Kay to beat them with his physicals then. So itunes was very unrepresentative this time last year. Don't underestimate XFF IMO.
  13. Does anyone think there's a possiblity XFF may hang on this week to #1 with its physical sales?
  14. Doubt it, towards the end of the week the updates were showing Ellie making bigger gains than XFF. Wednesday to thursday update for example XFF only went from 96.2k to 100k. Not sure the CD sales are going to make much difference tbh.
  15. So...JLS to take the number 1 spot next week? Or can Rihanna defy the odds again and hold on for a third week. Her lead is still pretty big after all?
  16. TT are going to be number 1 but they aint gonna sell over 100k. Maybe people are overestimating TT sales this year? Some people were suggesting that TT's album would beat Gaga by the end of the year. Not so sure now.

If this song is as big as people thing it is, could it hold off JLS next week? I'm getting tired of this X-Factor merry-go-round.
  18. Sharpshooter posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
And the week after that? I'm looking for the next time we have at least a two weeker. EDIT: JLS, then X factor. Christ

Is Rihanna likely do you think to be number 1 next week as well?

Cee-Lo's lead is very good, will he be able to hold off Joe next week do you think?
  21. Bear in mind that Gaga was down in 4th and 3rd for the early part of the week so she'll have to extend her lead quit a bit overcame that little deficit.
  22. I thought Pass out had another version in the 70s? Would that not help it hold it up?
  23. Someone said they've already had a million pre-orders already. So are we looking at 1-2million? Could it even be bigger than Band Aid?! :o
  24. I've just got a feeling Haiti isn't going to be number 1. I think Owl might hold them off.

Well everyone thought Jedward were a sure Number 1 and they weren't. So maybe Haiti will fail as well and flop? It wouldn't suprise me either if Haiti failed to get to number 1.
