Joe now down to 1/6 with WillHill. Hmm interesting. His odds are shortening once again after a few places last night were tightening up on him. Btw Usain Bolt was 1/7 to win the 100m in Beijing so that gives you an indication of what sort of odds he's got with the bookies.

If the RATM people are so sure of winning it, then why do the bookies still have Joe as 1/4? I mean they must know all the download charts and record sales, bookies know EVERYTHING. Particularly in events such as this. It seems the fact that Joe is only a 1/3 of RATM in the bar chart doesn't bother them.

No that was the wednesday update which we recalled them as selling 92k. So they did (on tuesday). They sold 83k on sunday and monday.

Um were they all downloads?

It'll stop when people get bored of the show. When their sales are less than 300k etc

It's not corruption. I hate the X Factor as much as anyone but the show is incredibly successful and that is no fault other than the British Public who watch in their droves FFS. Can't stop that. They want to buy the single. Then they can. Nothing corrupt about it. It's all fair really.

Joe now 1/6 with bookies!! :o And shortening!! Bear in mind RATM were odds on yesturday! (clear favourites) Now they're 7/2 shortest! 2 hours ago it was 2/5 with announcment of sales. But shortened massively over the last 60 mins!

There's something not right about that RATM lead. It's getting to the point that its becoming too unrealistic now. Are some big donors out there something? I can't believe there are going to be 500,000 different people buying this. "When I get home from work I must buy that RATM single to stop Simon Cowell!" Please. Could you imagine that there some people sitting behind their computers buying this over a 100 times a day?? HAHA

Bookies know everything. I follow that site for a lot stuff I don't understand I recognise that as a sudden change. The bookies have gone from RATM being slight favourites in the afternoon to being fairly confident again that Joe is going to win it.

Hey Oddschecker has literally CRASHED in favour of Joe. Today, last time I looked at 3pm Joe was evens at the shortest (1), RATM was 8/11 and odds on but now Joe's 4/9 and shortening with some, while RATM are 9/4, 11/4 etc. I watch Big Brother and I know how bookies work/how cynical they can be. Do they know something we don't? That's a HUGE change in the last couple of hours over A LOT of bookies. Ladbrokes have RATM 8/11 now, ahead of Joe (evens). If anything this could be a good time to bet on the x factor, which is usually at about 1/10.

Joe isn't even selling at the same rate as Alexandra. So to say he's going to sell at 100k is a bit of an overestimate. It's pretty much done and dusted now.

RATM are only 10k behind what Alexandra was last year, ridiculous.

The gap wasn't as big though, and most the time was being closed down, and it was earlier in the day. RATM took over at about 4pm. I expect them to be about 20k ahead.
