  1. And im about to make it a 4th. It is autotune, i work with the stuff. Its so apparent in Forever Is Over, Ego (fot obvious reasons), Get Ready Get Set, Do What You Want With Me... Need i go on? Im not sugesting they're using it all the time, but why they feel the need to use it is bizarre. Stop being so blind, it's there and they're using it. Don't double post as well please.
  2. How can any of us evaluate their vocal performance when they're using live auto-tune? You can't.
  3. How apparent is the auto-tune in Forever Is Over? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g_KF728L-w Shocking. It wasn't her, the auto-tune malfunctioned.
  4. It seems highly unlikely that Vanessa would lose it halfway through the show though when she sang everything else perfectly fine. The pitch on her wobbly bit was all over the shop. It's most likely an auto-tune malfunction. Nearly every note they sing just sounds so empty and monotone. They don't even need it!
  5. I've just commented about this on PopJustice. It may be an un-popular observation, but are they using live auto-tune? As soon as I watched Notorious, (Una's verse in particular) it all sounds really processed. 'Vanessa's f*** up quite honestly sounded like an auto-tune malfunction. The pitch goes down really low in one point in particular. The point is she does the end ad-lib fine ("realities a simple place") which is on-par the highest note in the middle 8 yet 'she' f***s up on the notes that are lower down. It doesn't make sense.
  6. The thing is, I don't think they where expecting a sell-out arena tour. Well, they probably where, but realistically it was never going to happen. Their fan-base had grown at a slower pace than they expected I guess or else they would have gone ahead with the Arena tour for Wordshaker (yes, the Arena tour for Wordshaker which got scrapped in the end). As long as more people are going to the All Fired Up tour than the Headlines tour, I shall be happy, and their label should be as well. Because at least that tells you that their fan-base is growing, slowly.
  7. The public are 'bored' (I could have used some better terminology in my first post) with them because they've gone through a bad patch becoming irrelevant due to the fact they change image and sound more times than I've had hot dinners. That is what I meant sorry. The public do care about 'pop acts' or they wouldn't invest in them. The Saturdays, JLS, The Wanted etc etc etc wouldn't have got where they are today without people caring about them, else they wouldn't have bought their records. They have no choice but to change sound to attempt to stay relevant though. They can't be singing and releasing Ego's forever. It's about progression, and if they can't progress and gain fans and sales at the same time they're not worth hanging on for imo. That's a bad thing to say from a fan but it's true. The public and casual buyers will see it like that. I disagree with the single choices. You're not taking into account the order in which their material is recorded. When they released Notorious they'd only recorded a handful of tracks, most of which never even made the album. When they released All Fired Up and started the campaign for My Heart Takes Over, Get Ready Get Set (for example) was still in production. It was the last track to finish I believe. So they couldn't have released that because it wasn't even finished or existed, which ever is more relevant to each single release. Notorious was probably the best of the bunch they had at the beginning and rolled with that, then more opportunities and tracks came along. They released All Fired Up because it was current and was produced by the pop-Gods that is Xenomania.
  8. I think the video should have a plotline. It could be based in a hotel and Travie could literally be 'watching' them all, and the girls entise him to their rooms, only to throw him out.
  9. God this is doing just awfully isn't it? It's fell out the Top 40 already after 2wks. If it makes anyone else feel better, JLS and One Directions's singles are also bombing. JLS are only looking at 3wks Top 40 with bigger exposure.
  10. Disagree. They where always miming performances. Did you not see them perform If This Is Love on 'GMTV'? Miming. So the whole "they where mining after Just Can't Get Enough" is balls. 'Just Can't Get Enough' may have been the first to miss #1, but funnily enough it sold more than the previous years Girls Aloud/Sugababes collaboration 'Walk This Way' and the following years The Wanted's 'Gold Forever' which also missed #1 and sold less. For a 5th single 'Work' did reasonably well. It may have missed the Top 20, but at least it looks like it's sold more than My Heart Takes over which missed the Top 10, and is only looking at spending 2wks in the Top 40. Everyone needs to stop looking for blame where "everything went wrong". They switched management after the Wordshaker fiasco and still that couldn't bring them to the sales of the Chasing Lights days. The public are bored with them. Face facts to put it bluntly. I'm a massive fan but it's getting beyond a joke.
  11. Has it? Yay  I quite like that idea, that they could connect more with the public by actually using a concert excerpt for one of their videos. Like you said, to show everyone what sort of show they put on. Only negative thing is, that if the show was shit it ain't gonna help at all.
  12. What a disappointing start to the album. :( The sales aren't that bad, I think people are over-reacting a bit, fair enough if it was Wordshaker sales all over again, but at least it sold more than that in its first week. During the time they're on tour, they just need to maintain the publicity (coverage of the tour, good step) and reduce the price of the album to target the casual customer Christmas market. They wont just simply 'move on' from this era now. They can't afford to. They've put too much into this album to just let it go. A 4th single needs to be sent to radios between now and the end of the year to boost/maintain their airplay (My Heart Takes Over was a radio disaster) followed by the video next year. Then if that fails, a Greatest Hits will be in order. The next few months will be interesting to say the least. They probably have a contractual agreement to release 5 albums under Polydor (similar/same to Girls Aloud's contract) so If things don't improve when/if they release a Greatest Hits, I can see that being a parting of ways with Polydor.
  13. It's not real. Why would you believe Wikipedia? They're doing a Christmas cover for starters lol.
  14. I agree. There's just been no major interest in this single compared to Notorious and All Fired Up. There's been an obvious lack of interest from radio stations, video stations etc, and fans as well I have to say. It's the same on PopJustice too. Having to come off the back of All Fired Up and Notorious is just sounds so boring. They need to stick to energetic pop imo. f*** this rubbish 'ballads sell albums' nonsense! Not the case for every artist it seems.
  15. Oh I know that, It's just when you look at it, All Fired Up actually turned things around for them and made radios take notice of them again, hence the longer airplay run and higher peak when you compare it to Notorious's. The campaign for Notorious was a mess though which is why radios where reluctant to play it when it kept yo-yo'ing up and down the charts. Every major station apart from Radio 1 have abandoned The Sats for 'My Heart Takes Over' because if you look at like this; The stations took more notice of them when they where releasing more up-tempo numbers. In comparison, My Heart Takes Over lacks energy and sounds boring. Hopefully another up-tempo release could bring them back to the attention of some other stations.
  16. 048 My Heart Takes Over ( 4 ) 113 My Heart Takes Over ( 7 ) 130 All Fired Up ( ) 217 All Fired Up ( 8 ) 281 Notorious ( 64 ) 353 Notorious ( 59 ) 463 All Fired Up ( 24 )
  17. Nope, some idiot renamed it 'Cutmore Sleigh ride Mix' when on the Club Promo it was just the 'Cutmore Mix'. The whole Christmas remix title made me believe that it was the next single from Headlines after the rumors broke.
  18. Cheers Jay :)
  19. Notorious didn't "kill their airplay" at all actually. 'All Fired Up' peaked at #14 which was a much better peak than Notorious, and un-like Notorious it actually stuck around in the airplay chart. 10wks in the Top 40/50 (All Fired Up). Again, some of the material you're referring to wasn't even recorded at this stage when All Fired Up was released. Get Ready, Get Set was one of the last to be completed actually.
  20. Regarding the singles, the album was no where ear finished when they released Notorios, so how could they have released tracks that didn't even exist at the time? Notorious was probably the best of the bunch at the time. The only single they messed up was MHTO. It was the wrong choice to launch the album off.
  21. What do you say to that. What can you say other than that's f***ing awful.
  22. 044 My Heart Takes Over ( 6 ) 106 My Heart Takes Over ( 2 ) 130 All Fired Up ( :up:8 ) 225 All Fired Up ( 4 ) 322 Notorious ( ) 412 Notorious ( 34 ) 439 All Fired Up ( 9 ) 763 Last Call ( 170 )
  23. And re-signed with another label I believe, plus that 'million pound deal' (or what ever it was) for Universal publishing? The Sats are a lucrative brand. They may not bring as much income in through their records, but it's made up from elsewhere. It's not about being 'blinded', you just have to look outside the box and think, "yes ok they may be a record label, but they make profit from tours, merch, endorsements".. There are many bands in a worse position that The Saturdays and they're still around. Of course there's an audience for them. If there wasn't, they would have been dropped after Wordshaker. They're just not clicking as such with the public at the moment, and I can see why; Too many image changes, and their sound hops from one to the next. There doesn't seem to be a common ground for the public to really invest in their music, but that doesn't mean their audience isn't there.
  24. It's definitely not the end I agree. The difference with this album is they've invested more money into this campaign than any other they've done before. I think the label would rather them push this if it starts to tank rather than just abandon it like they did with Wordshaker. They're a lucrative act, and since they're pretty much the only active girl band in the UK, they should be able to play that to their advantage.
  25. I've added in a poll for you :) I've also took everyone's favorite and added a vote onto the respective single. 01. Notorious 02. Missing You 03. Forever Is Over 04. If This Is Love (not entirely sure how I'd rate this one, as it was their debut. It was a fantastic debut though. However there was more hype for the latter 3 singles for obvious reasons).
