On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
My thoughts exactly. The Pixie comparisons weren't justified for me; but when you mention it like that it makes more sense. If they open with 22k sales this week then they're in the same position as they have been for the past few years - no or little growth. After 3 singles, 3 albums etc etc etc they should be ahead of their game..

It's the Live PA version that they used on This Morning. It's not often when you can actually say they sound better live

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
The only production issue I have with the album is The Way You Watch Me. The vocals nearer the end are poorly mixed together. Too many layers. Of course that may well be how it was meant to sound which I have no objection to, but it just doesn't pack a punch for me. Too many different/alternative vocals, too much layering going on.

My Heart Takes Over (3rd Single Discussion Thread)
This will be it's 3rd week on the A-List. They where 2wks A-List with All Fired Up, can't remember about Notorious. It did make the A-List though. It's funny, I had Capital on earlier and they where still playing All Fired Up! And then I thought, "ah maybe they only like to play up-tempos" and then JLS's 'Take A Chance On Me' came on.

The Saturdays - On Your Radar Rate
Wouldn't a rating of 1 - 14 be easier, since there's 14 tracks? Therefore each track gets a specific number rather than the whole album (for example) gets 5's all round?

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
And if there's a ray of light in this.. Wouldn't it be funny if On Your Radar also charted at #15?

On Your Radar Reviews.
Oops sorry, I had'nt realised that you changed your screen name, my bad, my reaction was a bit uncalled for. I know what you mean, chances are the album probabbly will flop and sell less coppies in it's first week compared to their previous LPs, but i think it's important that both views are aired. PopJustice is bad enough at times, just trying to keep some positivety here and there!

It's called being optimistic, and it's a breath of fresh air when siving through all the doom and gloom. Blinded by my desire? Most of my input it constructive criticism. You've posted here like 5 times so i dont suspect you 'get us all'. Sales will most likely be higher than they where last week and if they stick at #16 then they could sell close to 30k. There's no indication so far that it's going to drop down the mids without the rest of this weeks midweeks present, unless you're mystic Meg. Too much negetivity in the room :P

On Your Radar Reviews.
I personally don't think it's doing that bad. I said it would be Top 20 when we all did the poll a few weeks ago. As long as it outsells their first week opening sales for their past albums, then I'll be happy.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
The price hasn't been slashed yet because they need to make the most of this record at full price and capitalise on it. If Polydor is going to keep them signed then they need the income. Yes they make money from tours and endorsements etc etc, BUT at the end of the day they're signed to a record label, and if they can't sell records then... It's not their fault no. They've done a healthy amount of promotion last week. They need to prioritise on prepping for the tour if you ask me and getting Frankie fit and ready for it. If 'On Your Radar' does flop they need something positive to come out of all this. They need good reviews for their tour as this could be the last larger-scale Arena tour they do if the reviews are bad and the ticket sales aren't that great. But yes I agree, the next single needs to come out a.s.a.p. Rochelle did say it would be out during the tour next month.

I don't get why people are saying it would have done better if they released it after All Fired Up. It would have done much worse. Dance does not specifically sell albums, and since The Saturdays are not album sellers it wouldn't have been that wise imo.

My Heart Takes Over (3rd Single Discussion Thread)
Is it just me or is My Heart Takes Over a tad distorted in the chorus? It's a rip from my On Your Radar CD and the chorus just sounds squashed and a bit distorted. Steve Mac being Lazy? It's also the same on my My Heart Takes Over single CD too. Anyone else?

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
At the end of the day, if it gets #15 with 25-30k sales, I'll be satisfied. As long as it outsells the first week sales for Headlines, Wordshaker and Chasing Lights I shall be satisfied, and so should we all. It's not all about the chart position. And if it sells well, then it'll be the "album which sold x amount really well for a Top 20 album". Think a bit more positive. Go back to reviewing the album or something, discuss Ina even  This! People just need to sit down!

And yeah I hadn't taken that into account Aiden, that probabbly had something to do with it Ah I think I got mixed up with the iTunes peaks.

I'm somewhat dissapointed with the way the tracks are (or aren't in this case) being cherry-picked. Last year with Headlines, all bar one two tracks went into the iTunes Top 100 - Karma being the highest, and I'm sure it charted at something like #69 in the singles chart too. This year with On Your Radar, nothing's even making the Top 300.. 028 My Heart Takes Over ( 5 ) 124 My Heart Takes Over ( 92 ) 208 All Fired Up 240 Notorious ( 97 ) 242 All Fired Up 381 All Fired Up 404 Last Call ( 254 ) 491 Wish I Didn't Know ( 503 ) 514 Faster ( 188 ) 566 Get Ready, Get Set ( 297 ) 859 Notorious (N.E) 989 Move On U (N.E)

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
At the end of the day, this whole era has under-performed because one minute their sexy Saturdays, next their ballad singers, next they're having a rave. It just doesn't work (for them anyway). Fascination Management can't afford to loose The Saturdays as they're the only mainstream artist they have on their roster. The exec of Polydor however is leaving at the end of the year, so he/she may not want to keep them on Polydor. It's silly blaming TV shows and their management because at the end of the day, they work f***ing hard. They can't help if the public don't buy into them. What they need now is a good single off the album to sell it. They'll be bringing out the next single next month no doubt. What a load of rubbish. They released 'Notorious' on air/on sale because they have a strong fan-base, and it got them a Top 10. Polydor had faith in them as at the time on air/on sale was quite the 'in thing' to do, and that was decided before most of the on air/on sale releases where dropping like stones. They didn't just go "We'll do on air/on sale for the fun of it". ITV has nothing to do with 'All Fired Up' missing the #1 spot. It's nothing about "big TV shows giving The Saturdays a chance" because their track record is hardly gleaming. They're going to give their performance slots to more established artists who can sell records in large bulk. It draws more viewers in to the TV show. 'My Heart Takes Over' is flopping due to the lack of radio support like you mention, but their promotion has been good. Alan Carr, Children In Need, Lose Women, Daybreak.. what more can they realistically do? Apart from Daybreak, I'd hardly call them shows "small". It's unfortunate that they where bumbed twice for Xfactor and Xtra Factor by a past contestant, but she's going to pull more viewers in than The Saturdays would unfortauntely.

Peak Position Sales
God that's awful. How the hell did they go from opening with 68k a few months ago to 23k? Where has the 45k of 'fans' gone?!

'30 Days' (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 1)
Get Ready, Get Set would be a terrible single choice. Imagine the video. Una 6 months pregnant singing "I can do it with my hands tied behind my back" would be inappropriate to say the least. At least the Faster lyrics are more suitable for the situation and relevant to Una, her baby's making her heart beat faster.
