Saturdays' 13th Single [Poll]
I'll re-open this when we've at least heard all of the clips. No point in voting for things we haven't heard.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
--Good-- 01. Do What You Want With Me 02. Wish I Didn't Know 03. Faster 04. Last Call 05. Get Ready, Get Set 06. The Way You Watch Me 07. For Myself --Not As Good- 08. I Say OK --Not Good-- Nothing :yahoo: I think they got the singles wrong though. Why would you put two very dance orientated tracks as singles when it's not even a decent enough representation of the album? It's just not logical. The only reason I can think of that they put 'Notorious' and 'All Fired Up' as the first singles is that they knew they'd sell just because dance is popular at the moment. They're banking on 'My Heart Takes Over' to sell the album and right now it's not cutting it, it's way too risky. 3 weeks on the Radio 1 C-List? Not a peep on the Radio Airplay chart either. Good to see it in the Video Airplay though. The video's stunning. 'The Way You Watch Me' should have been the first single, and they should have released it June/July when the whole 'on air/on sale' phase had dropped dead. It would have been a brilliant 'comeback' single, not just because of it's feature 'vocalist' but because of it's summer vibe; Notorious lacked that. Either 'Faster' or one of the ballads should have followed before the release of the album. Both tracks give such a huge foundation for the album to launch off because they capture more personality and their sound, if you get me. Notorious and All Fired Up could have been anyone's song, both are just some faceless yet amazing dance tracks which for an act like The Saturdays (who aren't huge album sellers) is dangerous. Edit: MYTO up to B-list sorry. Read that it was still on the C-List somewhere!

Maybe 'Promise Me' is another Xenomania track?

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
Get Ready, Get Set is now firmly lodged in my head, and I'm still not overly keen on it! Damn you Xenomania!  I Say OK is a bit 'filler' to me, the chorus is nice though. 01. Do What You Want With Me 02. Wish I Didn't Know 03. Faster 04. Last Call 05. The Way You Watch Me 06. Get Ready, Get Set 07. I Say OK

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
No pressure and competition then   They're going to be lucky to get Top 10 imo. Just out of curiosity Lee, where are you getting the positions for the pre-order info from HMV? I couldn't find the slipcase positions before.
-
On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
Not overly keen. Too repetitive (even though I love All Fired Up  ). I'm genuinely surprised because the mighty Xenomania have done this and it's probably my least favourite clip so far. Not favourable of their new 'sound' at all. It's not as unique or as quirky as it used to be. --Good-- 01. Do What You Want With Me 02. Faster 03. Wish I Didn't Know 04. Last Call 05. The Way You Watch Me --Not So Good-- 06. Get Ready, Get Set --Not Good--

This years x factor guest performers prediction
Westlife wont have an easier time of getting a slot compared to other years. They're not signed to Syco anymore and they've cut ties with Louis. The last single they performed there was a flop if i'm right.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
Because it's flopped already. Joke  Nah It was probably me by accident. I use my phone a lot so I probably accidentally pressed the lock symbol.

All Fired Up (2nd Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
I'm hoping that radio jump on this after the release rather than before it. If airplay increased after the released and My Heart Takes Over showed signs of it being stable on iTunes etc then they'll continue to support it.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
After we'd heard Notorious, All Fired Up and My Heart Takes Over, I was really doubting that this album would be cohesive. However, from the clips it sounds like these tracks all fit together nicely and can be part of the same LP. Do What You Want With Me isn't as good as the previous clips but credit to them for going with what's current that they can put their own stamp on, yet still keeping it very Saturdays style. They did explore a bit of dubstep with Not That Kinda Girl so it's not like this is completely brand new. They where certainly giving us a taste of what's to come. So far these clips are putting Headlines and Wordshaker to shame. These tracks are very strong and so far just by judging the clips I wont be skipping any of them. The days of 'Karma' and 'Puppet' are long gone production wise, they sound incredibly dated and are no match for the likes of the standard on On Your Radar. Good work so far! :)

All Fired Up (2nd Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
Top 50 Radio Airplay Peak / Wks Top 50 / Track 32 - 05 - If This Is Love 11 - 08 - Up! 04 - 15 - Issues 06 - 05 - Just Can't Get Enough 16 - 06 - Work 06 - 09 - Forever Is Over 14 - 14 - Ego 01 - 12 - Missing You 07 - 18 - Higher 29 - 06 - Notorious 14 - 09 - All Fired Up The and show if that track has done better/worse than it's previous release. The good news is that after they took a tumble on the radio airplay with Notorious, All Fired Up shows signs that radio have started supporting them again with an increase in peak and total weeks in Top 50. An increase in peak and wks Top 50 hasn't appeared since Forever Is Over (2009)

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
I actually think Ness's croaky/broken vocals make her sound really Vulnerable in Last Call, finally injecting some personality into one of their more vocally powered tracks. I find with Vanessa that in the past she hasn't sung the lyrics with passion as she just used to 'wail' all over everything. She sounds beautiful in this though.

My Heart Takes Over (3rd Single Discussion Thread)
I bet they're thrilled to do the Oxford Lights! As I kid I remember watching Spice Girls turn them on.
-
On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
It could be, but the absence of Turn Myself In also ties in with what Vanessa apparently said to a fan a week or two before the track list was confirmed. Vanessa told a fan that Turn Myself In might not make the final cut; And it hasn't.

My Heart Takes Over (3rd Single Discussion Thread)
I think it's a wise move that their doing the promo a bit earlier. They did that with Missing You too on Alan Carr, I think? This way it's a pretty dead cert that airplay will pick up so My Heart Takes Over will be more 'out there'.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
Faster is amazing. I've just said this over on PJ, It's VERY Alexis Jordan. I could wanna go "humm ahum ahum ahum" to the beginning of the track! This album is shaping up to very good. It's surprisingly all gelling really well together!

All Fired Up (2nd Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
You're forgetting perhaps that Pixie had so much more support than The Sats. She is irrelevant to this discussion as far as I'm concerned though. She has nothing to do with the 'success'/'under-performance (whatever) of All Fired Up.

I voted for White Lies! The same people that did Nicole S's 'Don't Hold Your Breath' did it

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
Those would be nice, but those details should/would have been confirmed weeks ago. It doesnt take weeks to put a super-dooper itunes pack together.
-
All Fired Up (2nd Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
And so are 39 other artists

All Fired Up (2nd Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
So far its outsold 3, 4 of their 11 singles, not that great. Do you mean 'even' as in break even? Breaking even at 99p in this day and age is not possible unless you sell a significant amount. And even that depends on what deal was done with the producers/writers, more factors are involved too.
-
All Fired Up (2nd Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
Under-performed would be a better analysis.
-
On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
That would be a good start! Why is it taking them so long to put the album on iTunes? Normally when you announce album details etc you get all the pre-order links there and available right away to increase custom.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
Depends what way you look at it. Two full albums, an EP sort of thing, and then this album
