My Heart Takes Over (3rd Single Discussion Thread)
Pre-orders do that though. All the core fanbase will pre-order in the first few days before dropping down the iTunes album chart. The Wanted have been availble a little while longer to pre-order which is why they're probabbly lower.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
You do realise Garry Barlow put the Children In Need single together right? Of course it's going to be performed.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
You do realise they're more likely to do 1D/The Sats as 1D will pull in huge ammounts of figures. With Westlife not being signed to to SyCo now and not being managed by Louis, they wont have a great chance either. At the end of the day, anything produced by SyCo will be a platform for their artists and they'll come first before any other. Why would they have Rihanna on that week? She's already released We Found Love. The Children In Need track will be performed no matter what that week though, with 1D as their seccond guest.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
I specifically remember Wordshaker being at #1 on the iTunes chart, and getting my hopes up that it'd be #1 in the midweeks. Untill I realised the iTunes album chart had like a 15% share of album sales.

They're on a radio tour. They should/will be playing it.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
PopJustice have the album and as a reult they're on the PJ Almighty at #2. PJ said "they have a very good album" or something like that.

Does this page need a cleanup?
It's funny you should say that about pinning the current album/single threads. I was thinking the same a few days ago but thought I'd leave it be, but since you guys think it would be more efficient making them pinned, I shall do. And Lew i'll delete your threads then, I'll add the radio/tv runs in the Sales threads too. Edit: Good job I have them saved, seems they've already been deleted!

My Heart Takes Over (3rd Single Discussion Thread)
I don't see how they could egnore that they have 10 Top 10 singles (half of GA's record), 3 Top 10 albums, 3m sales. But if GA is anything to go by they didn't get a slot untill they where 5yrs into their career.

Tim Deal had confirmed they had recorded "tracks", ie more than one. Not sure if they've all made the cut however..

My Heart Takes Over (3rd Single Discussion Thread)
Gotta agree with Scherz on this one. Yes they are by default the biggest group but it's not like no-one else has came along during their time in the charts. Plenty of girl group competition for them has come and gone. And regarding xfactor, it really is swings and roundabouts with this. 'Notorious' didn't do that well, but give it the benefit of the doubt as on air/on sale was a huge contributor to screwing that up (btw, funny how on air/on sale is now "dead in the water" as it's been abandoned). 'All Fired Up' started off great.. but started falling and we're still waiting to see how that goes. Their ticket to xfactor this year really was the sucess they have this year pre-xfactor, and so far it's not looking that great imo...

On air/on sale:on hold
Yes and no I think. Yes because these less established artists needed more radio support and where being took off playlists when they started bombing down the charts because of the in-existance of pre-release support due to on air/on sale. But no at the same time because if a track that had been released with pre-release support started bombing, radio wouldn't try and 'save' it like we're asking them to do with on air/on sale releases.

On air/on sale:on hold
It was never really going to work properly unless every release was on air/on sale though. Some labels where ignorant enough to turn their back on it the second they pushed for on air/on sale, and started giving "exceptions" to a handful of single releases for them to be released the 'old' way. It's funny how the more established artists who had more of a chance of pulling on air/on sale off didn't do it, yet the less establised artists gave it a go... but failed misrably anyway because they needed the pre-releases support.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
It's only 12-13k to get a Top 10 now, and that margin wont change much untill around mid-November. It's not untill the last 2wks of December/first week of January when sales rocket. Yes they climb each week, but not even I think they'd be able to shift 40k in one week. Chasing Lights did 22k first week of release and Headlines did 21k didn't it?

The Saturdays in America
Hmm, interesting. On Popjustice someone had pulled a tweet from someone 'close' to them saying that they where going to announce it all in 2 months but their gonna have to confirm it sooner or something like that. It could be convienient for them though with Una being preggers and all.. I don't think it would stop them from going over. Not that I think their going to 'crack' the states. They've hardly got a massive success story to sell over there. But who knows. They've said many times that they want to 'crack' the UK first and other Euro countries first before the US. However if you where offered this deal on a plate I'm sure you'd hardly turn it down just because you want to crack other countries first..

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
Their either going to sail the Christmas market sales wave, or drown in it unfortunately
-
On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
Album sales have taken a further dip this year by 15% when compared to week-by-week sales for 2010, so sales will be lower. The Christmas/Xfactor effect will stimulate it though.. They really do need this go to Top 10. It's a shame they're not recording another series of 24/7 because that suprisingly really worked well for them!

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
If I'm correct there's about 16 credits for All Fired Up (mostly for the writing, believe it or not  )'The Way You Watch Me' is the Lucas Secon trackThey did alot of work with The Alias so chances are 1/4 tracks could be produced by them (they also did alot of co-writes with them too)

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
The Way You Watch Me is the one with Travie, yep. Sources from Universal have said so for a while.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
I have a feeling they've cut the track they did with Labrinth. Digital Spy etc haven't listed him when they're talking about producers. It would have been very interesting to hear The Saturdays do a Labrinth track...

It's really difficult to feel the full atmosphere of this track when you're trying to listen to it in 28°C heat... in Otcober (ok.. at the end of September  )
