iTunes Chart: September (II)
^^ I expect The Saturdays to be #1 in the mids tomorrow too, marginally. It happened with Missing You last year and All Fired Up is in a similar situation. The Sats are also doing another interview/webchat thing at 7pm on Wednesday on Capital FM.

I agree that the % are open to interpretation which I was trying to explain yesterday. As the #1s popularity increases everything else under it decreases giving the impression their popularity is dipping when it might be, it might not be though. There's no clarification at all, and I think the only thing that we can be connfident about is the gap between each position, not its %.

It will be interesting to see the sales at the end of the week. If The Sats can do over 70k I'll be impressed. The most they've sold on an opeing week was 60k for their #2 with Just Can't Get Enough back in 2009.
-
iTunes Chart: September (II)
If that was the case (their 2nd album didn't sell more than 80k) then 2ys ago you would have been right, but they're still here. And if their last 'album' (EP, whatever) can sell 180k on 5 new tracks and the other 6 tracks featuring on their previous album, they should technically sell more than 200k. It's like at the start of the week people were like "The Satudays will struggle for Top 10". You only have to look at their previous releases to see how blind statements like that are.

Oh this again, the 'make or break' album. Which was also funnily their last album.. and the album before that.. Like Lee said they're hardly irrelevant. I think you must be getting them confused with the Sugababes.

4th September Chart Battle
It still makes me wonder how over half the people who voted thought Collide would be #1, and out of the 3 it's the one that's doing the worst! Looks can be decieving indeed!

iTunes Chart: September (II)
In total it comes to £6 something for the 3 formats and thats including postage.

iTunes Chart: September (I)
It was odd because it changed for a minute and then the next it reverted back again which is normaly a sign that its updating, and then it showed that new update again this time for about 15 minutes so i posted the whole top 10. And then it reverted back again, nevermind!

I guess "pull away" is open to interpretation. I thought you meant her lead was decreasing, which it isn't.
-
iTunes Chart: September (I)
"Pixie is starting to pull away" ? She's 'gained' 5% on The Sats at #2. These LivePopBars % aren't completely accurate though as you have to take into account that The Saturdays are still climbing but beacuse their % is dropping it's being percieved that it's loosing popularity, which it isn't. It should only be used as a guide to see how much of a 'lead' there is inbetween each track (especially when you're comparing #1 and #2 positions)

I disagree. The only reason this hasn't done what it was supposed to do (.. get to #1.. although there is time left) was because of the court case with Avicii. Why else would radio 'boycott' a new come-back Leona single? I don't believe for a second again they wont play it just because it's more uptempo. The court case really has put this track in jeopardy. Her label knows she'll sell albums? Really? She's sold albums yes, but this one, who knows? She's said herself her label are 'scared' about this album. And the likely hood of this album being huge off the back of (what looks like to be) an under-performing single does not look good on Leona who is supposed to be this global superstar. And I don't see what Pixie and The Saturdays not being 'worldwide' acts has anything to do with this? It's just being spiteful on these boards and adding fuel for Pixie and Saturdays fans to "get their claws out". Pixie's debut album sold very well (over 700,000 coppies I believe?), I'd class that as a 'huge album seller' yes.

I don't believe for a second that Cowel & co would be 'happy' with a Top 5 debut for a Leona come-back single. A Leona come-back single.

There's a different between "Everyone is trying to get to #1" and pre-meditating it.
-
iTunes Chart: September (I)
Yeah in all honesty I don't think they were actually trying to get this to #1. If they were trying to get #1 then they would have made more of an effort with the promo (like Missig You) and they wouldn't have released it on such a busy week.

Are you reffering to iTunes or LivePopBars, because LivePopBars is always like this as far as I'm aware. iTunes has been during the last few hours.

One Direction have also been supporting All Fired Up too..

There is an option for the customer to buy them seperately, so it's not like they're forcing people to buy the special offer. In one transaction you can get the 2-track CD, MAXI CD, and the Vinyl for £6 something. Since all 3 products have different barcodes (or something along that line) they'll count as 3 sales.

Desperate was their campaign for Missing You last year. That was desperation. I don't see anything wrong with it, it's all legit, and If it works on their behalf then why not :)

iTunes Chart: September (I)
+ The Sats EP at #21 and their physicals (which count as 3 sales per purchase - they've been selling a 2 track CD, Maxi CD and Vinyl for £6 which will contribute to 3 sales per perchase).

If i'm going to be honest, I thought Pixie would be much far ahead of #2. So with eveything combined The Sats are still #1, with them having 4 versions of the track in the the Top 500 (5 in the Top 1000) compared to Pixies 2 in th Top 500 (4 in the Top 1000)

Pixie at #1. Well, the half hour or so of The Sats reigning at #1 was nice :) The Saturdays have had a Top 3 album though. 3 Top 10 albums to be precise. Besides the sales speak for themselves, I doubt The Wanted have sold over 2.5m like The Sats have. It's not a lot, but it just seems illogical when you look at the sales..
