  1. Turn Myself In sounds nice!! Deffinately one of their best B-sides. There's no way it would have sounded right on On Your Radar though. They made the right decision there. Not so keen on the vocal arrangement on the chorus as the live 'version' sounded very rich with harmonies. You can tell that this was recorded quite a while ago. Vanessa's tone is much higher.
  2. Just had my first radio interview, and it's quipped with my remix for 30 Days!
  3. Haha that would be awesome! I don't know, I mean, they've been A-List before and hardly had any plays from Radio 1. At least Radio 1 seem to be actually playing the track despite being B-List. If this doesn't make A-List, this will be the first single not to make it wont it?
  4. They aknowledge themselves that they haven't cracked the UK yet, so no they're not going to be up there with all these international popstars appearing BGT and Xfactor etc. They're massive shows that pull in over 10m so they're going to do their research and see who the viewers want to see. I'm not personally making excuses for this campaign. The next one is better.
  5. Do we? What is said over and over again is how shit people think the promo is. Each single from On Your Radar had a performacne that was on a prime time tv show. So You Think You Can Dance, Tonight's The Night and Alan Carr. They've got Lemonaid for 30 Days. What is different? Nothing. Infact, they've had more tv and radio appearances (including non performancs) for this campaign. They're relying on this to just keep them afloat untill the next single, which they will want to shout and rave about.
  6. Why is it poor promotion? What else is out there than they're realistically going to get? Compared to some artists, The Saturdays are everywhere. Radio is where the work is needed and they're doing that quite well with the Radio 1 appearances. Capital should jump back with them for the next single. They know this isn't one of their better singles, so why should they go all out by spending £££ when they could save it for the next single?
  7. Yes! People need to sit down! The only reason they're being 'relegated' is because the demand for them is less than say The Wanted for example. You dont just bag yourself a break on BGT or Xfactor during an artists sales dip. The good thing for them, is that they're very much at the centre of attention. They're on all the mags and in the public eye. Their presence is there. They just need this next single (which is supposed to be their best yet) to make people sit up and pay attention to them musically.
  8. They performed on Lemonaid. I'm told the choreo is really good. It was done by the same people who did All Fired Up.
  9. There is a given 'play date' to stations telling them when to start putting that record on rotation. It's no good playing the track on heavy rotation when it's not out untill 6wks - you've just wasted your whole campaign. It's built that way so each week there's an increase in interest in the track which in effect should indicate how well the campaign is going to hold up. The video is nearly at 1m views in 3wks. To my understanding, that's hardly a bad thing.
  10. It's a discussion that's always going to crop up unfortunately. If radio were egnoring them then they wouldn't be inviting them onto their shows etc. The interest is there. Hell, I listened to an interview Cheryl did on Radio 1 yesterday and my God it was boring - the last time she was invited on was a very long time ago. In the words of Alexandra Burke, let it go.
  11. I'm actually gutted they're not an 'item' (yet). Mollie is royalty.
  12. Why do I get this feeling that '30 Days' is not a new recording as such? I haven't been aware that the girls have been recording with Steve Mac this year.
  13. 2ndAdventure posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
Ahh congrats to the 3 of them!! I didn't think she was expecting for another week or two!
  14. Why would people think this isn't fake? It's obviously fake. The girls have said a few times that they'll be writing and recording during Una's pregnancy and during her leave.
  15. 6wks is plenty of time, especially for an artist like The Saturdays. Are people going to wait more than that to perchase a track by a group that in the public eye are quite throw away? Nope.
  16. It is called '30 Days' (which we sort of knew anyway) - futher confirmation from this dance company. So that also confirms that there are dancers in the video.
  17. I'm sure this new track has some dance influence? Vanessa said she was raving out to her part...
  18. I'd tend to disagree. If Fascination management are that bad, then why are they trying to make a push for The Saturdays stateside? Why are they continuing to support The Saturdays even though their last few records haven't sold much? And if Jayne was so great, then why did 'she' pull the plug on the plans for the 'Wordshaker' Arena Tour?... I don't agree that they do as little as possible either. If they did as little as possible, then Una wouldn't be filming a video 3wks before her baby's due. If they lacked so much commitment to the band then they wouldn't be pitching their ideas to the US as a further step forward as a group. Their work ethic and commitment is there, the public just don't get them to the full extent because ask yourself this "who are The Saturdays?". One minute they're sexy, next they're all Disney and then they're glamorous. Their image and sound changes 10x faster than the rate it should do. Personally, I think they've given us such a diverse range of good music, which not every artist or group dares to try. If you're not a die hard fan then you're going to have major trouble adjusting to the constant change of sound which is a clear example of what happened to 'My Heart Takes Over'. It ticked all the right boxes and everything was done as it should have been done, but when you go from a massive club raver ('All Fired Up') to a ballad (which The Sats don't release as often as their uptempo numbers), it's almost like they're stepping into unknown territory. Their casual fans like uptempo. Had they not have had all the exposure (the ITV2 documentary mainly) around the 'Missing You' single, that campaign would have gone the same as 'My Heart Takes Over'.
  19. She set up her own label about a year ago and is not assoiciated with Fascination/Polydor. The reason why they've been given 'another chance' or another go is because they're not daft girls and they're a business. They're clearly not short of cash and they've been in talks with some "major" (not sure to what extent) deals in the US so they're not giving up on the brand which I don't blame them after they put our their best album 4 months ago. I'm so excited that us as fans are going to be treated to more Saturdays music 4 months after their previous LP! :yahoo:
  20. Considering Una's position, I think it's an indicator that this track is going to be in the mid-tempo genre; And it's going to be another one of those 'My Heart Takes Over' video's too ie, pose pose pose, walk, pose.
  21. As this new 'LP' or whatever they're up to is in it's very early stages, I'd agree it's a bit premature, but it would be an idea to have a thread where we can talk about their new recordings and going's on instead of clogging up the 'On Your Radar' thread with new news that may not even end up being related to that album.
  22. They just need the right track to come back with, and a perfect marketting campaign (I'm not talking about promotion).
  23. I think it could swing either way. Personally I think they're rushing things again, they've only had a few recording sessions and already they've chosen the next single? Bit too rushed for my liking. I'm hoping they're going to release another single from the album in the respect just so they can get back in the spotlight; meanwhile a better track might come up for the new single. I mean, they may have finalised the video arrangements etc, but what about Una? She's going to be ready to pop in the next month..
  24. Thank you :) Was it PopJustice by any chance?
  25. I had a tweet earlier from The Sats camp saying that they loved the remix I did for Last Call. Was a pleasant surprise!
