iTunes Chart: December IV
I think you have missed the point, people are not asking them to promote 'One Shot' this early but as their album is selling so well do you not think it would be a good idea to perform something other than EIL in order to sell more copies of the album? Alexandra performed 'The Silence' on Paul O Grady and I am pretty sure that would have drawn in more buyers. Performing EIL yet again is not going to sell the album and the song has been to number one and peaked in sales range so the promotion is not really going to do anything. Ne-yo and Red One would never give them decent songs as they know it won't reach the US market. A 'Russian Roulette' or 'Just Dance' would never be given to JLS by a top US based producer.

To be honest no one is coming in here and just stating 'JLS are crap' they are giving reasons and stating their opinion of their awful constant promotion of the same song. There is a thread for only chart updates so if you don't want to read any opinions or debate go there. No one underestimated them it was obvious they would sell alot, as for longevity as good as Robbies, PLEASE.

I was watching Ant and Decs show and the one on after it tonight and both of them had heavy portions of their show dedicated to the X factor. It really annoys me I don't watch these shows to have Alexandra Burke and JLS rammed in my face at every opportunity and Amanda and Piers creaming over how amazing Simon Cowell is. If only ITV was paid for by the license fee payers then we wouldn't have to put up with this crap, heck Alesha Dickson was not even allowed to perform her single on SCD if only this rule was applied for every ITV show.

The promotion of Earthquake was appaling I think I saw it once on GMTV wheras Remedy was everywhere. It seems if you are not X factor related or The Saturdays your promotion for third or fourth singles is non existent. JLS have a very short shelf life, I think people will look back in five years and think why did I like them. When N dubz criticse you then you know that you are crap.

iTunes Chart: December IV
What it demonstrates is that their album is clearly filled with crap songs. I have listened to the album myself and the two singles on them are the only halfway decent songs on it. You would think with their album sales so high they would be attempting to promote other songs on it, who needs to hear EIL when it was released two months ago.

I actually don't mind Leona as she is not that over exposed her promo is relatively quiet and it makes seeing her on tv a good thing. However JLS, have just yet again performed on another $h!tty show on itv performing EIL, it is literally the 50th performance I have seen of that crap song and the performance never changes. Alexandra is everwhere at the moment too and that can't be denied but I actually thought bad boys was a good song with good choreography. She has performed different songs on Viva, Paul o Grady twice, Royal variety and ant and dec tonight.

I'm pretty sure the physical will get it top ten. I'm really starting to get bored of JLS now, their songs are uninspiring, average singers and to be honest they ain't even that good looking.

Sunday Chart Predictions
As much as I don't like Cheryl, that article in 'The Sun' was completely abysmal. That guy Gordon Smart is a complete and utter imbecile and I will never know how he got that job. He is clearly on X Factors pay roll due to the fact that he appeared on the show and does not stop creaming over Joe in his column. Also every single day without fail he gets his facts wrong. Today for example talking about the Jonas brothers marriage and he can't even get the right brother. Also does he realise that no one who reads his column gives a crap about JLS and their daily ventures out on the town. Bring back Victoria Newton anyday.

Sunday Chart Predictions
Ugh can't believe Joe is at number one. At least the shops will be closed some days this week so his physicals don't reach a high amount the fact he is so high in the year end chart is frankly embarassing. Worst number one of the year by a mile.

I think people are being a little harsh, I doubt there will be a campaign for songs all the time now. When any artist dies there is always a surge in their sales.

iTunes Chart: December IV
Just read an interesting article with Alexandra Burke which stated that she had to fight with Simon Cowell and the record company in order to get a decent video treatment for 'Broken Heels'. Apparently Simon wanted the video filmed in London with no cheoregoraphy or dancers. I think Alexandras fighting spirit in not being a puppet is going to be what sets her apart from Leona and Joe. I can't imagine either of them fighting to get good video treatment. However, this once again shows Simons appaling interest in his own acts.

Final Chart Positions.
Imma Be has a single cover as it was released as a digital single in the US before the album came out. Imma Be is the next US single confirmed. As for the UK I have heard it could be either.

Previous X Factor winner single sales
All this Disney nonsense in the papers is really not going to help him either. Why exactly would Disney be interested in a non entity from the UK when there are millions of more talented kids in the US. The Max Clifford PR machine is going to try to do everything to save face here but Joe is always going to be remembered as that boy that lost Christmas number one, in my opinion.
-
Previous X Factor winner single sales
Steve wasn't released on the Christmas week though so I don't think it can really be compared. Whatever way you look at it Joes sales aren't that great. He has 5 million more viewers than Alexandra did. He supposedly got the highest votes ever for a winner yet he only managed to beat Leon in terms of first week sales [Not counting Steve as that is non comparable], things do not look good for his future.

Can anyone estimate what they believe RATM would have sold today based on Amazon, iTunes positions of the new versions.

Sunday Chart Predictions: Part 3
Does Cowell really look better than the competitors though considering he has slagged them off all week from his Barbados home. And I wish people would stop moaning that their is competition for X Factor if you like the charts why wouldn't you be excited by this race no matter what the circumstances.

Sunday Chart Predictions: Part 3
I agree that singles being stocked in supermarkets would be a positive thing especially around Christmas. I am not sure if there is the market for it anymore during the year as dissapointing as that is. To make the Christmas race more open supermarkets really need to stock singles of people other than the X Factor. Also Simon has announced that he expects to be on tv until he is Bruce Forsyths age, that is a really miserable thought.

'Angels Cry' ft.Ne-Yo / 'Up Out My Face' ft.Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj is going to be massive next year. The excitement over her right now is amazing.

Sunday Chart Predictions: Part 3
If anything positive is going to come out of this whole chart battle perhaps it may be that Simon Cowell decides to stop being so lazy in picking horrific songs for the winners single. I do not see the problem in why he cannot get an original song for the winner to sing. There are millions of songwriters out there who would give the X Factor a song free of charge just to get their songs out there and I bet they are a dam sight better than the ones we have been given over these past few years. Within Sony BMG there are also lots of artists that I am sure would be willing to write a song. Get a top producer also. I don't even know who produces the winners songs but they are clearly uninspired.
