For anyone who is interested Shayne Ward sold 313,000 on its first day ultimately selling 762,000 for the week.

Sunday Chart Predictions
I can't see any one of the old grannies that buy Joe thinking 'Oh I better buy two copies of this when I go to Tesco so RATM doesn't get to number one' PLEASE.

I thought 10 million was the votes for the entire series.

How would they be able to tell how many people are in a house. There could be 50 people at a party.

Sunday Chart Predictions
All I care about in relation to Joe is that he didn't sell as much as Alexandra on the first day and he never even with 5 million extra viewers. If he didn't care then why would he comment on it? Anyway, this proves that these internet campaigns can work and if it continues again next year then sales may prove to be more popular. I think the people that run the campaign should set up interest in August when X Factor starts and get people to vote on what song it will be and kind of have a knock out each week like X Factor does and maybe the interest will generate more sales.

Sunday Chart Predictions
It wasn't an entire days sales, the song was available for download everywhere apart from iTunes straight after the result was announced and you could pre-order it from many download sites. Who cares if it is chart manipulation? It is playing Simon Cowell at his own game, the day that man was born was the day the music industry was tainted.

If Joe McElderry outsells Poker Face I will be raging.

Sunday Chart Predictions
Well he seemed pretty annoyed about it at his press conference so I'm sure he will be. X Factor winner has always been number one in the midweeks at Christmas. This shows him that people are beginning to rally against his chart manipulation.

Sunday Chart Predictions
Wow at those RATM sales it just shows how many people utterly despise the X Factor. I'm going to wait until tomorrow to see if it has any chance of number one before buying it. This must be the first time 83,000 people have bought a song they don't really like just to prevent something else from getting to number one. I hope that c**t Simon Cowell is raging this morning.

iTunes Chart: December III
Not everyone can know all this information. People seemed to think Simon would directly benefit from this just because his label is under Sony.

I agree with you, it also seems like when contestants audition now they think they have a shot in America. There was a caller on Xtra Factor last night to say he was excited for Joe to release in America and the poor boy was so excited. Little does he know he has no chance. If the winner of American Idol who is way better looking and more talented flops on release what hope has Joe got. Syco have flooded their own market with all these acts they don't know what to do with. It is literally going to come to a point when there is no room on the lable for anyone. They only employ 20 people which also says alot. The fact he has been compared to Zac Efron is laughable.

You are right you can spin it many ways. I would think those extra two million votes would have came from the voting lines being open an extra 24 hours every week. You could also say Olly was the least popular runner up ever having never been in the top 3 votes on any night and having once bottom once and as a result inflating Joes votes. Either way I still maintain this year is the worst for talent EVER and it is most likely Simons desire to get a male winner by disregrading females who were actually good [TreyC and Nicole] in favour of the awful Danyl and Jamie. Most likely I can imagine lots of people will go there.

I think Lady Gagas sales do the talking so I won't comment on that any further. Check out forums and you will see that everyone hated the live auditions, once again the fans do regard this as one of the worst years talent wise the only thing that kept it going were the guests on a Sunday. And what you are saying is YOUR OPINION also. The bottom line is Joe is nowhere near as popular a winner as Alexandra. If Olly and Joe this time next year have sold the around 3 million records JLS and Alexandra have then you win.

Why are you dragging up Lady Gaga into this? Ratings does not mean a show is popular. Big Brother 4 was one of the highest rated Big Brothers yet is regarded as the worst series of Big Brother. This year is widely regarded as the worst series of X Factor by the media, fans and just general overall feeling. One of the main reasons the viewing figures have been so high is due to the superior guests this year. The conestants however are the least popular since X Factor 1 which was just a new show.

X Factor didn't have a Sunday show last year. There is more chance of higher average ratings on a Sunday when no one is out.

iTunes Chart: December III
So what? Last years final was on a Saturday, most people go out on a Saturday night. The audience would have been the same last year if the final was on a Sunday. It cannot be denied last year was more popular.

Sony and Simon are two different things he won't benefit at all. Simon runs Syco which is an umbrella brand of Sony. It is like saying the manager of Topshop is going to benefit from a spike in sales at Burtons.

Joe isn't going to touch the sales that Alexandra did: - She had an extra day of downloads - Woolies were selling her single for a low price - Alexandra was actually a decent winner who appealed to more than old grannies - Hallelujah was half decent - Last years X Factor was more popular If Joe reaches 576,000 it will be a miracle.

The pop bars aren't really epic whoever stated that Cheryl was much further ahead when she was released [i don't like her before anyone claims I am a stan].

Predict Joe McElderry sales
Simon Cowell is to blame for that one he must have heard it at some award show and heard the phrase 'keep the faith' creamed himself and decided to use it.

Predict Joe McElderry sales
Particularly deaf this year. It is funny how this song would have been regarded as crap by the X Factor judges when Miley sang it yet last night it was one of their favourite songs ever. Give me a break.
