Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
Oh learn to read please. I was not comparing him to Mother Theresa, the poster stated that Simon cowell is a humanitarian which he is not I was merely saying what a humanitarian is.

Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
It was on the X factor and Simon was busy. No it was ruined as soon as the X Factor started hogging it. 2009 was a great year for Christmas number one. I don't care about artists when they leave especially Will Young who was able to create his own identity. I'm talking about the crap covers we get year in year out.

Rod Stewart hasn't even been confirmed. I don't remember Rod Stewart ever being on X Factor. Maybe I am mistaken.

Do you actually know what a humanitarian is? I'll give you an example Mother Theresa who spent her life being one. Throwing money at a charity is not a humanitarian. If that was the case then everyone who donated money to charity is a humanitarian. I have yet to see Simon Cowell visiting these places he throws money at. He didn't even go to Great Ormond Street. He has ruined an aspect of the music industry with the tripe his acts release. He ruined the Christmas number one for many years. His vile shows have also given pople the impression that you don't have to work to make it in music all you need is a nice smile and a four month tv show. There are many businessmen in music who have respect that they have earned eg Clive Davis. Simon Cowell is a famewhore who has self admitted that he doesn't even like music. Do you not see that from him saying throughout the X Factor 'Oh I never knew that song'.

I'm thinking that he is making up for not being on X Factor as he was tied to SCD for a few years due to his wife. Yeh he is better than that.

Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
I honestly doubt people would have said anything if he did not do anything for Haiti. I'm pretty sure Simon Cowell is not at the forefront of everyone's minds. Many people have a problem in that he just throws money at things. He is no humanitarian. I think a point a poster noted that Leona Lewis was being played in the background on a news feature was a great one. This is once again promoting Simon's act. Simon Cowell has ruined music and many people can see that only music fans brought up in the 00's can't see right through him.

 I love that people can't have an opinion on here without being personally attacked and bullied by other posters. I don't agree with half of the opinions in this thread but I am not calling anyone names or lowering myself to that level. So have a look at yourself before your criticise others.

One of the rules of this board is that you are not allowed to be abusive to other members. He was just abusive towards me. Have you got nothing better to do than try to pick a fight?

I don't need to do charity work. I can donate from my computer. I'm not the only one who is angry about him on here.

Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
And what this isn't promotion for X Factor? This single could have been released without that pillocks name being mentioned.

Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
The VAT was waived as were royalties on You Are Not Alone and he still profited from that. When you buy the single read the small print.

Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
There are better ways of donating money to charity than through a single. How can I be sure the money will even go to Haiti. When Simon Cowell is involved.

Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
Not to mention half the aid donated for the 2004 earthquake is still lying in a warehouse somewhere.

Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
With modern technology all artists will not have to be in the studio at the same time. Hm is this a new thing cos I thought this had been possible for years lol. I love how they say a glittering array of stars then proceed to mention Leona Lewis and JLS.

Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
It will be impossible to avoid. It will be on every music channel, every radio station, every news item. EVERYWHERE there will be no way of getting away from it. No I wouldn't. If they produced a charity song like Just Stand Up! I wouldn't even bother commenting but this is Simon Cowell so we can't ever expect anything original to come from him. If Jay Z was doing a cover version of Everybody Hurts I wouldn't like it either even if I was a Jay Z fan. The other point is the song wouldn't have been overexposed and shoved down our throats like this one is going to be. The point is Simon Cowell is a horrible vile man. 500,000 people [multiple buyers included] bought a song they never even liked just to prevent him getting to number one. I was not one of those buyers but you get my point. More people in the UK despise Simon Cowell than like him and people on this board will do anything to stick up for him that I'm beginning to think they are on his payroll.

Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
Firstly, that is the point everyone is making last decade was full of $h!t reality tv singles and charity singles we don't want a repeat. I'm not saying they didn't donate privately. I stated that they should donate privately if they want and not put us through another tripe cover. Yeh I'm really sure Simon Cowell is going through all this effort just so the public can have a gift  Please the song will be impossible to avoid even if I never wanted to hear it I still would. No one cares that they are doing a charity single WE ARE FED UP OF AWFUL COVERS.
-
Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
 They could have donated privately or done a telethon like US stars instead of inflicting another horrific cover on us. We already have had You Are Not Alone and The Climb butchered in the past three months do we really need Everybody Hurts butchered aswell.

Haiti relief single: Everbody Hurts
Oh you people are missing the point at least the Daily Mail readers have some perspective. This single is NOT about charity it is about Simon Cowells ego and him bagging another number one. Rihanna released Redemption Song a suttle cover for Haiti with ALL proceeds going to Haiti. There was no media fanfare, no media manipulation by stating there are rumours of about 500 stars going to be on the single. The whole thing is a media exercise to paint Simon Cowell as some sort of martyr. The single is barely going to make more than 1 million pounds so stop making out they are doing such a great job. A million pounds is nothing to Simon Cowell. He ruined the past decade in music and he is about to ruin another one.
