My problem with '2 Hearts' is that it doesn't reflect the album AT ALL. By itself it's a fine Glam-Rock inspired Pop track but it doesn't really have a space in the album so it really boggles me it made it to the tracklist and then got selected as the lead single! 'Lose Control', also from the Kish Mauve sessions, would've been far better in the album and as a single IMO.

This has always been one of my favourite Kylie eras, even though the album itself didn't turn out 100% great - which it could've as the demos and b-sides from this era are AMAZING. My tracklist would've been something like: 1. Speakerphone 2. Like a Drug 3. In My Arms 4. Lose Control 5. The One 6. Sensitized 7. Rippin' Up The Disco 8. Wow 9. Magnetic Electric 10. Spell of Desire 11. Nu-Di-Ty 12. Taprobane (Extraordinary Day) Deluxe Edition Bonus Tracks: 13. Do It Again 14. Carried Away 15. Cherry Bomb I would've led the album with Lose Control - the dark electro sound suits her so well and it would've been a proper moment for her to comeback with it, In My Arms and Like a Drug would follow as 2nd and 3rd singles with Wow + Speakerphone released as the 4th Double-A Single. The One can still be released in it's remix form as the 5th (promo) single as it's fantastic. I can't wait for them to release the vinyl though, i'm sure it will be beautiful!

LOVING this AVH track, super disco and not to far off from 'Strings Of Life' which is a classic! 'Emergency' pales in comparison to 'House Arrest' but it might still climb, feels a bit early for it to drop out already ha! :lol: Kylie is always guaranteed a hit here but let's see what happens to 'Magic' - the first single was way more immediate for me and I never really know who ends up at #1, Sam Smith is the proof in the pudding I thought he'd be low Top 10. I used the Preference Sorter to sort out all the songs, keeps it exciting as I basically only find out the #1 at the very last minute [Dua Lipa's 'Hallucinate' only entering at #5 and Smith & Thell going #1 by the skin of their teeth were recent big surprises for me! Keeps it fresh ha] LOVE LOVE LOVE 'Crying at the Discotheque' and apparently so much I don't mind who sings it. I do keep her version on high rotation so she's set to do very well here. The video for '911' really converted me as I wasn't a fan of the song, or indeed the album, for the longest time - I've finally ordered the picture vinyl but I do desperately want 'Replay' as a single! Now don't revoke my gay card, but I never really got into 'Froot' :ph34r: I was a big fan of 'Family Jewels' and was on board the 'Electra Heart' train but nothing she's done since has resonated with me :( Still, 'Fingers Crossed' is a bop so I might give 'Froot' another chance! The Steps track is a bit by numbers though - fun, catchy and all that sure, but just a bit predictable. I've warmed up to it more this week so expect it to climb a bit but I would be surprised to see them in Top 10. If they release 'Something In Your Eyes' as the 2nd single though, that might have a chance! :lol: x

Last time it happened for me was Smith & Thell's 'Goliath' - I took too long to click with it and only tried to confirm it mid-week by which point it had already been snapped up! I'm usually pretty unluckily with confirmations so I don't think I stole anything from anyone apart from Lushington's 'You Got Me Baby' I think at the time it was on someone's potentials?

Interested to see how Jack Wins' 'Animals' does for Aeroche - I had it as a potential when it came out a few months back but obviously didn't go for it and last time that happened Altyr Muunilinst won the whole thing with Blonde's 'I Loved You'! :nocheer:

I've been scratching my head about it, I think it's 'Love's Theme' from Soul Train? I'm liking this with more listens, but Say Something was more instant. I really wanted a balls to the wall disco tune (like Mark Picchiotti was hinting at) but this will do for now.

Instead of 'Wake Me Up': (also 'Watch Me Go' in between 'See The Day' and 'Whole Lotta History' would've been fab) Rachel Stevens' second album single releases were all messed up. Should have had 'So Good' as a lead single, followed by the wonderful: 'I Said Never Again' as 3rd single and 'Negotiate With Love' to close the era. -_-

Agree with 'Paper Gangsta' - awful song through and through and the melody is too reminiscent of Vengaboys' "We Like To Party" for me to enjoy it even ironically. "Plastic Doll" is passable but not the worst on the album which is clearly "Stupid Love".
