But because she's South American herself that's gonna help. "Waka Waka" to me sounds more appropriate for a Brazil WC rather than "Waving Flag".

That's probably due to the fact "Waving Flag" was used for a World Cup that was based in Africa, and has an African style sound to it.... whereas Shakira's "Waka Waka" has a more South American style sound to it, and therefore is appropriate for a Brazilian world cup - plus she's from South America herself (Colombia) so that must help her.

Not too sure - but it was around the time when Cash Cash "Take Me Home" was TOTD, and also around the time when "Fever" was Zane's hottest record, so a few weeks back!! They made it up that Black Keys was TOTD - probably got confused with Zane's Hottest Record to be fair, or just tried to fit in lol.
