I don't know what the split was between physicals and downloads in the third week but the opening run on the official chart was 1-1-1-3...

Buzzjack Multichart #196
Can we submit anything at all in a personal chart? Like it's just basically the songs we're digging most at the moment? Edit: ignore, just read guide! Sorry!

I'm really interested how fast Joe's falling, Rage only *started* falling from number 2 this time last week: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...4511&st=580

The Arctic Monkeys song was massive, and Mr Brightside was certainly up there.

She's far from unknown here, and even if she was that would also be a good reason to tour.

Well -- it always seems to me to mirror the iTunes chart quite closely! But I'm a newbie so I don't know much. And I can't get a chart on my own iTunes on my creaky old Mac : p

I might be wrong, but isn't Joe falling faster now than Rage were this time last week? I think it was through Wednesday that they fell down through the top 10?

If Ke$ha gets to number 1 on iTunes I might start a Facebook campaign for an Uffie song...

iTunes Chart: December IV
Yes, exactly, I understand why it happens but I don't understand why the other record companies don't challenge it. I'm sure a good legal case could be made that it's anti-competitive at least.

I distinctly remember Alesha performing 'The Boy Does Nothing' on Strictly. That was before she became a judge, though. I'm absolutely amazed that the other majors haven't challenged the massive Sony dominance of X-Factor and Britain's Got Talent. What's stopping them, exactly?

iTunes Chart: December IV
Does anyone know how the other online charts work? Because I remember during the Rage campaign, hmv and play.com used to appear to shift daily; amazon several times a day. And Rage are still no. 1 on all of those, also 2, 4, 73 & 100 on play; 22 on hmv; 29 on amazon. [7digital still have the track 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 8 but I think they have a straightforward weekly chart]. I realise these things aren't really a big deal since itunes is the superpower in downloads; just curious if anyone knows what period that suggests Rage has been outselling the others over [on those sites]?

3 words -- I first heard it after clicking the link to the video on youtube expecting nothing at all and was quite taken by it. I even recommended it to a friend. That's not something I'd ever normally expect to do with a Cheryl Cole video, so maybe it's appealing to a different market than you might otherwise think?

'Best' albums of the year
I put Q magazine, Uncut, Mojo, NME and Rough Trade's end-of-year lists together. The thread is linked in the first post of this thread. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with it by the way! But do reiterate Mr/Ms. Soap's question.
