  1. A top 10 of all time is almost impossible to choose, but off the top of my head: Blur - The Universal Pulp - Disco 2000 Radiohead - Idioteque OutKast - Hey Ya! Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Maps The Smiths - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out Jeff Buckley - Lover, You Should've Come Over Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For? The Beatles - Yesterday Prince - I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man / When Doves Cry Bad Romance and Runaway could well creep up in there over time.
  2. Have to agree, though Eminem's been pretty much dire since 2002, so its hardly a surprise. Love The Way You Lie would be diabolical, only for Rihanna. I've been REALLY disappointed with Kele's album. Tenderoni, and the 3 BP albums raised my hopes, but it was just so LAZY. Lil' Wayne has been a huge letdown this year too, hopefully Tha Carter IV picks up where III left off. I agree with Tony, never saw the hype around Goulding either.

Well if you look at Switzerland, to get them to a WC Finals, undefeated in qualification in a group with Italy, is a rather impressive (over)achievement. And then what happened at Euro 96 kind of proved his influence on how well they were doing. Pretty similar to the situation with Fulham, so in a roundabout way I think I agree he's better at managing mediocre players and making them work as a team. Rather than an ego filled dressing room like Liverpool, and England. IF it's true that Trappattoni has had a stroke, then I can't see him being in charge of the Republic much longer. I'd gladly have Hodgson take over then.
  4. I seen that image too, really hope its not the cover, its awful :(

I can count the number of good Weezer songs post-Pinkerton on one hand. Shame, their first two albums are incredible. Make Believe made me lose faith in them completely, and I haven't even bothered getting anything after Red Album. :(
  6. In a rough order: http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/4774212.JPG http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDKIDA1.JPG http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/FOODCD29.JPG http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/RTRADCD250.JPG http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/RTRADCD219.JPG http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/7599251102.JPG http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/2752373.JPG http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/EA62061.2.JPG http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/4759592.JPG http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/4509918962.JPG Manic Street Preachers - Holy Bible Radiohead - Kid A Blur - 13 Sufjan Stevens - Illinois Arcade Fire - Funeral Prince - Purple Rain Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Bjork - Homogenic Nas - Illmatic The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead I know the Kanye album is probably a bit too recent to be included, but Late Registration was always one of my favourites, and since I now prefer MBDTF, made sense to put it in. My top 10 is always changing anyway, even the Blur album would change depending on my mood.

Love them, Raw Sugar is my favourite, but pretty much the whole GUABA album is amazing. Soft Rock Star remix
  8. Quite excited for this, thought it wasn't out till 1st March. My only fear is it could go down the R. Kelly / Jay-Z duet album route...

United play a rough 4-4-2 when fully fit, with Rooney and Berbatov generally starting up front, Nani and Valencia out wide and the Scholes / Carrick / Andersons etc in central midfield. Also, didn't Chelsea play 4-4-2 before Ancelotti arrived? 4-3-3 has only really been in vogue in recent years because of Barca. And Hodgson has done pretty well at international level with Switzerland (No. 3 in the world!?), so it would be foolish to dismiss him on one bad experience.
  10. Eidur Gudjohnsen to Swansea! :o Adebayor rumoured to go to West Ham on loan too, how the mighty have fallen.
  11. Cover: http://nodata.tv/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/James-Blake.jpg Tracklist: 01. Unluck 02. Wilhelm's Secret 03. I Never Learnt To Share 04. Lindesfarne I 05. Lindesfarne II 06. Limit To Your Love 07. Give Me My Month 08. To Care (Like You) 09. Why Don't You Call Me 10. I Mind 11. Measurements Got this today, it's quite amazing. Early favourite is Wilhelm's Secret, though needs a few more listens to properly sink in. I think he'll do quite well in Sound of 2011, though probably not win it as he's not *quite* as commercial as the previous winners. Would love this to be commercially successful, but I just can't see it somehow. Still, hope he keeps up the regular EPs after this!
  12. Wow :o Kanye is one of the few rappers, if not the only, who would even try to make a video like this. Nicki is incredible!
  13. 01. Hot Chip - One Life Stand 02. Gorillaz - On Melancholy Hill 03. Big Boi - Shutterbug 04. Arcade Fire - Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) 05. Sufjan Stevens - All Delighted People 06. M.I.A. - Born Free 12. Sufjan Stevens - I Walked 13. The Count & Sinden - After Dark 14. Owen Pallett - E Is For Estranged 15. LCD Soundsystem - I Can Change 16. The Drums - Let's Go Surfing 17. Broken Social Scene - Chase Scene 18. Baths - Maximalist 19. Ariel's Pink Haunted Graffiti - Round And Round 20. Caribou - Odessa
  14. The Sufjan Christmas boxset is so lovely though :( There's nothing wrong with Christmas music as long as it's done WELL.
  15. I would be interested in doing it, but I imagine that I'm too late, given that I've missed half a season.

Who would like a banger in the mouth? Tobias is actually my favourite character in any show ever.

As an Arsenal fan, I'm obviously delighted we finally beat Chelsea and that it was so convincing too! I'm not one to cheer on Tottenham, but if they can help keep Chelsea out of the top 4 it would be just too good. Especially after they were being handed the league by the media in October. Their implosion in recent weeks has been fantastic, and I think it's hilarious its being blamed on Wilkins leaving? How about a starting 11 of largely pensioners with no squad depth whatsoever. I've seen stronger subs benches in the Championship this season. Bowyer's heroics tonight were also greatly appreciated :) . And I think Rafa back at Liverpool would actually be a good move for everyone involved. While I do rate Roy Hodgson highly (just look at what Hughes has done with Fulham), I think the fact he was never really a fans / players first choice as replacement manager meant he was always on borrowed time. Much kinder to get rid of him at the end of the season though, and hope Rafa is still available. For all his faults, and barring one bad season, Liverpool were generally heading in the right direction under him. I know a lot of people criticise his transfer policy, but that was more down to the Americans not giving him cash to get the players he wanted (Simao and Barry spring to mind). Plus, when he did get the players he really wanted they generally turned out alright, like Torres Reina Agger Mascherano Alonso...
  18. Album of the Year for Pitchfork, MTV, Rolling Stone, Billboard.... Runaway #2 and Power #6 on the Pitchfork song of the year chart too. Pity Runaway wasn't one spot higher on that list, but all the critical acclaim is so well deserved :)
  19. Just incredible from start to finish, easily album of the year for me. His rapping has improved a lot over the years too. Pity it won't make #1, it massivle deserves it :(

Poor xx, in an ideal world, they'd climb to #1. But I'll be amazed if Linkin Park don't have the #1 in the bag, despite Catalyst underperforming.

    #1 please!
  22. Extremely excited for this :o
  23. Heimdalsgate is my favourite too! Although I love the whole Hissing Fauna album. The earlier stuff is very twee, but its okay on the whole, and Satanic panic is great. The newie isn't bad actually, some dodgy moments as always, but an improvement on Skeletal Lamping.
  24. I like that, but I think I prefer Power. This album is going to be AMAZING.
  25. New name: Dark Twisted Fantasy. I like very much!
