The xx 'Coexist' ıı September 10 2012
I'm a little worried about this album, I adore the debut, so I'm very wary of what they'll do this time round. Would be interesting if they went down the "We're New Here" route.

I hope it's not Mark Hughes who replaces him, he's as insufferable as Warnock. What odds on Benitez? They have money he can blow.

M83 'Hurry Up, We're Dreaming' ıı October 17th
Midnight City got HEAVY rotation on the one random radio station we got in Finland, which was amazing to hear. The album is such a grower too, and doesn't feel as long as it is when I listen through.

'Talk That Talk' // 6th Studio Album Discussion
I think this is her most consistent album yet :o Loving Cockiness and Drunk On Love, and You Da One is growing on me as a new single. Birthday Cake should be about 5 minutes longer though :(. For some reason Cockiness reminds me of Sweet Escape era Gwen?

Premier League / Football League Thread 2011-12
I still think United will get sucked back into the dogfight with Arsenal / Tottenham / Chelsea / Liverpool with City romping away. Chelsea were dreadful in defence today, Luiz should be played in midfield; he is in no way, shape or form a centre half.

Formula 1 // 2011 season
I warmed to Button the second he became Hamilton's team-mate because I knew he would be perceived to be inferior to him, so I'm really glad he's had arguably his strongest season ever this year. Canada really made me start rooting for him, it was one of the best drives I've ever seen.

Drake 'Take Care'
I agree on the André solo record though he needs to RAP PROPERLY. As much as I loved The Love Below, he's so much stronger when he raps á la ATLiens / Aquemini. And this album is stunning :wub:

Most Influential Artist of the last 20 years
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Prince yet, certainly in the 80s and the early 90s he was one of the most influential musicians on the planet. Similarly, I would argue R. Kelly is much more influential in male R&B than Usher or any of the others mentioned (Taio Cruz??). And I don't think there has been many more influential on the pop scene in the last ten years or so than Timbaland has been in his producer role, not so much the Shock Value trilogy. Prince R. Kelly Kanye West Radiohead Blur Bjork Strokes Daft Punk OutKast Nirvana Timbaland

Bloc Party.
I don't know if it is overplaying, when Silent Alarm came out in 05 I didn't particularly like it, but then AWITC made me fall in love and I was OBSESSED with that album (it's still my 4th most played on Last.FM actually!). Now when I listen though, I just don't get the same spark from it? I still love it as an album and have a lot of memories associated with it, as along with "Graduation" it was essentially the soundtrack of the summer for me, and leaving school and starting uni etc. But I just think they were a lot more important to me then than they are now.

Bloc Party.
Pretty sure the third one is "Day 4". I'll be interested to hear this, I absolutely LOONED for them in 2007/8, but I've gone off them a good bit since they've been gone.

X Factor 2011 || Live Shows - Week 6
I thought tonight's episode was TERRIBLE. Whoever thought a Queen week for this group of vocalists was a good idea needs fired, there's no way any of them could do a Freddy track without sounding horribly out of their depth. The only way would be to go á la Marcus and completely change it up, but even then that was a borefest. The support for Little Mix mystifies me too, aside from ET they've been BORING. Like one of those annoying PARTY KARAOKE CLASSICS cover versions of songs on Spotify. Misha is the only one with any hope of doing something even remotely interesting after this show.... honestly, who would buy a Craig / Kitty / Janet etc album?

Lee Sharpe! :drama: I'd love Wagner in it, would make me actually bother watching it.

Unknown Pleasures VII :: ▲▲▲
Ah, you pipped me right at the death! :drama: 16th is better than I expected though for a first time, so a big old THANK YOU to everyone who gave mine points. And well done Mr. Soap, it was easily one of the best songs on the list, and well done and thanks Triangles for hosting, SPIFFING EFFORT.

Unknown Pleasures VII :: ▲▲▲
The Friends track is brilliant. Really loving most of the top 5 at the minute, would quite like Purity Ring or 7 Bells to win it.
-
Niki & The Dove
This is rather splendid, but surely with a 7 track EP they could have pushed for one or two more tracks for an LP? Also, is the name a Prince reference or just a coincidence?
-
Unknown Pleasures VII :: ▲▲▲
Nope, I also didn't get it, was one of the worst for me :(
-
Unknown Pleasures VII :: ▲▲▲
It was hilariously out of place, wonder what where the rap originally comes from.

Unknown Pleasures VII :: ▲▲▲
The TENSION :drama: Loved the Chrome Sparks / Strawberries tracks, well chosen Mr. Triangle / Martin.

I literally have no idea what will win, there was no massive standout over the rest. Should be interesting to see anyway!

St. Lucia 'When the Night' ıı October 13
I quite like this, it's nothing spectacular, but artwork is lovely. Is it shot on the actual St. Lucia island?
