Finally listened to all songs yesterday. The overall standard is quite high IMO

    My current top 12:

Netherlands - clearly the best song there, amazing country flavoured folk pop

    Norway - clever pop track

    Sweden - anthemic

Serbia - Zeljko never disappoints, wonderfully crafted song

Spain - the best diva ballad in the contest

Bosnia & Herzegovina - 2nd best Balkan track

    Cyprus - Loreen-lite

Iceland - good song but there's a bit too much

Latvia - lovely, catchy and funny

Greece - same old, but nice

Israel - best rock song this year

Russia - incredibly awful but incredibly catchy. Will this win?

    Bubbling under:

Austria - Love the arrangement and might grow on me

United Kingdom - Nice melody but lacks something

Albania - Needs couple of more listens but sounds promising

  2. 15 Editors "Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors"

12 My Chemical Romance "Famous Last Words"

10 Nelly Furtado "Say It Right"

    08 Maximo Park "Our Velocity"

    06 Sophie Ellis-Bextor "Catch You"

    05 Hard-Fi "Suburban Knights"

    04 Babyshambles "Delivery"

03 Calvin Harris "Acceptable In The 80s"

    02 Axwell "I Found U"

    01 Bloc Party "The Prayer"

-2 Runrig feat. Tartan Army "Loch Lomond"

  3. Woo at Paradise re-entering, I believe this is the first song to actually do the whole 're-entering after 20-week cap due to being top 50' thing aside from the Whitney songs?

No it actually happens every now and then, mostly adult pop and country songs do that. These did it last year:

Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man (re-entered at #45 on chart dated 05/03/11)

The Band Perry - If I Die Young (#46, 25/06/11)

    Jason Aldean & Kelly Clarkson - Don't You Wanna Stay (#48, 30/07/11)

Eli Young Band - Crazy Girl (#45, 03/09/11)

If this is a big announcement then wonder what would a small announcement be like. New chair at the office?

You can check the chart already by looking at the most played songs on Spotify and/or We7.

The rock album of the year I am most excited about. 'Swoon' (2009) is brilliant.

    Track listing:

    Skin Graph

    Make Believe

    Bloody Mary (Nerve Endings)

    Busy Bees

    Here We Are (Chancer)

    Mean Spirits

    Simmer

    The Pit

    Dots and Dashes (Enough Already)

    Gun-Shy Sunshine

    Out Of Breath

Produced by Jacknife Lee and not sure if that's necessary a good thing..

  6. Didn't Dilemma get to #1 in the US as an album track? Or something like that I read once.

Yes it did but it wasn't the only one. There were basically no singles sold at the time.

The first song ever to top the Hot 100 on airplay only was 'Try Again' by Aaliyah but even that one didn't have a record breaking airplay numbers.

  7. I haven't updated the post yet, any errors there are entirely Music Week's fault and nothing to do with me :P Music Week resets week counts of songs and albums all the time for no reason.

Yea they have messed things up with Kelly Clarkson's album and with most of the old albums (Legend, Rumours etc)
