Oh my, I have competition! :lol: First of all, even as a DNQ queen I appreciate BJSC, all the countries and the people behind them - a lot more than I show it. Since my time in the DW group (when Land of DW was born) my life's changed a lot (many times), but I love that no matter what happens in my 'real' life, I can 'take' BJSC with me anywhere. Like for many others, my main goal is discovering music, gems I wouldn't get to know without you all, but I do think that a bit of success doesn't hurt every now and then. There were times when I wasn't feeling the best mentally and 's¤cking even at my hobby' was just another kick in the teeth, but skipping some competitons did help and I could get back when I was in a better headspace. To the DNQ discussion: I know that it's a lot more work but I do miss the EOY DNQ competiton a lot. I do think that it helps celebrate the 'losers of the wrong semi', for example I'm sure Bellamia's current DNQ would do very well there and it would get the fame it deserves. With mixing DNQs with all the rest of the songs (even the winners) we don't 'celebrate' the best of the unlucky ones that much, '2 DNQs made round 3 then flopped' is really not the same as winning a contest (even if it's only a top of the flops). Semis: I know that listening to 30-32 songs can be a lot sometimes, but I see only disadvantages of having 3 semis. It would be too easy to end up in a semi where noone appreciates your riskier entry or where you'd need to vote for all the fillers to have a top 10. If we'd have labels, I'm sure I'd simply target 5-6 people with my entries knowing that I will be (most likely) in the same semi as them and I would definitely not send anything remotely poppy as even though I find some pop gold in pretty much every contest, I wouldn't want to end up in a pure pop semi (and I'm sure many others would think the same way).

Okay, I'm not too surprised, Kaltes Klares Wasser's been a potential since forever and after reconfirming it I realised that I didn't send it as it's very similar to 'Missy Queen's Gonna Die', another huge flop of mine that I thought that will qualify easily (tbh I still don't understand how pretty much noone appreciated it). 4/4 DNQs this year though, only the strong can handle this :P

Voted! I'm happy that we had a 'real' pop entry and even a retro entry that I love, both are quite rare. Not happy that you made both of them DNQ :P Oh well. Shoutout to Yehesi and Dobago, both entries are fab! It was an okay final, the top half of my votes are great but I did feel that I lost 4 of my top 8 from semi 2 and 3 from semi 1. Wrong thread, sorry! :lol:

Okay, this was fun. Changed my email address to my Hungarian freemail.hu address that I pretty much never use, managed to validate, sent a test email and received it straight away. So it's gmail. Then I wanted to change back the email address in my profile... but I can't validate my email address as I don't receive the validation mail :lol: Sooo now I'm using freemail and I will receive reminders to an email address that I never check. 'Send a notification email when I receive a new private message' was ticked, but 'Enable Email Notification by default?' was not, so I ticked that + set it to 'Immediate Email Notification'. It's weird that I still haven't received an email about the reminder... is it Buzzjack or Gmail (or me)? I got the message here on Buzzjack, I see that it was sent 7 hours ago, but usually I get an email too (which would be the whole point of the reminder :P) . If it's only a me-issue then it's fine, if messages don't go out of Buzzjack at all then it's a bit of a problem. Anyways, re-listening my faves while cleaning the house, my votes will be in in a couple of hours.

I was a bit hesitant to submit an entry this month as I'm getting married exactly in two weeks, some busy days ahead :w00t: Can I maybe ask for the 'holiday procedure'? I should be able to vote in the final (very early) but I'd like to be on the safe side. This is the last entry of my 'old life', but I count it as the first entry of the new one (I'm moving to Germany next month) While it's not a 100% happy song* (it sounds like it), it gives me so much joy nowadays that I need to share it. So... new life, but old Land of DW, so obviously it's a flop that will help to extend my amazing DNQ streak - I hope at least the 3 members who understand the lyrics will appreciate my efforts :lol: /edit: not a 100% happy song* = it's pretty much about struggling with depression/anxiety. To me, the message is still somehow positive, gives hope that things can change for the better./

Voted! Sorry for leaving it late, I kinda knew that I won't be able to finalize my votes yesterday so I'm happy for the extension (and I was pretty much counting on it too). Great final, although I lost 5(!) out of my top 8 in Semi 2, including my would-have-been 12 and 10. Sooo shoutout to Niceland, Neliönoir, Freedonia, Kathaldazia and Thelonia, thanks for the great entries!
