Persephonia for sure, this one's easy. 36 points for Sovarasma is brutal, I gave it 10 points, and it was really close to get 12! You slept on this gem people!

Sovarasma vs. Altyr Muunilinst FCUK! I still think Altyr Muunilinst is through, but losing Sovarasma would be a huge loss for me :(

Gawd, please no bottom 2... 34 points for 27th is quite a lot though!

Are you just listing my votes or are these songs actually through?

Perfect results so far! :cheer:

Hmm, somehow I have a bad feeling... Hype tho.

For me, it's quite the opposite, I could've made a great top 10 out of the last 12 songs  (I didn't, btw) Fantastic semi, 19 songs were point-worthy and I had 13 songs in the 'must point'-zone... I rarely hype Asian entries, but I'll throw some well-deserved hype towards Greenfroze and Lotunia, both entries are fab! xx

Well, I always start listening from the end :kink: BUT I haven't listened to the New Lexico entry yet, so it still has 100% potential to be a gem, too. I'm really happy with the last third (that's what I listened to so far), basically everything is point-worthy + Cor Lupus sounds like one that could win (again, this is based on around 10 out of 62 songs), just throwing it out there to mess with Cody's head, really  (but it is a great entry and should do very well). Hurray, I'll be there! :cheer: + thanks Riser for the YouTube playlist. that's a great help!

When the very first song you listen to is a gem :dancing: (I'd be happy with Friday or Saturday btw)

Oh, I feel the same. Well, I'm a fan of 'IDGAF', it was one I already knew before. 'A Neverending Dream' was a huge fave too, of course + there are some others I'm familiar with (Bhangra, Aquafina and Tartford). Don't be fooled by the video of 'Direkt Bock' - although it is most likely the best video of the year that contains at least 39 10/10 moments, the song itself is fantastic, too (but might need a second listen, it is not as instant as 'Nachbarn' was).

A warm welcome from Land of DW! :cheer: Most of my entries this year are from a source that (based on your personal chart) you keep checking out as well, so I'm 100% thrilled to have you here! A new contest is about to start, you can submit your entry until 20th September.

Your education continues. You're welcome. :kink:

The song is trash in a good way, but the references in the video... god. It really shouldn't have been that hard to find things that are related to 1999. (Nokia's 3310 came out in the end of 2000, Nirvana's Nevermind came out in '91 (!) Madonna's Bedtime Stories in '94, then TLC, Janet Jackson, Björk... all of them years before '99.

Usually I'm 100% lazy to comment, BUT I do love this thread and follow it religiously. Why I do comment now is to say thanks for mentioning LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER's 'Stupid Me' - I loved 'Desperado Vespa' and now I'm in love again, what a fantastic song  Thanks again!

LIE

Going full Land of DW this month, be prepared.

oooh, I didn't even know this one! :o Voted, wanted to give points to 13 in the end, so it wasn't too hard to narrow it down to 12.

I guess you young warriors will say that it's unknown, but 'U Sure Do' was quite huge back then (top 5 in the UK, but a hit in Europe and Australia too). OybSwl05Zok

Could we decide now-ish pls if there would be an extension to the deadline? I haven't listened to 2/3 of the entries yet and the only night when I can make time for UP is Thursday (I know, my bad that I didn't vote until yesterday). If you say NO then I'm happy to spend tomorrow evening with UP-ing (RIP growers), but if I won't need to rush then I'd prefer voting at the beginning of next week when I'm back home.

Thank you All for the points so far! (those 18s  ) Btw that top 3 would be just perfect!

The moment you realise that your fave of the potential winners is... Ultraviolenceland :o ...  (I really like 'Tears In My Eyes' though, usually there is one (1) pure pop song I like per contest, I'd be happy if it clicked with the majority of pop voters too.)

Voted! :cheer: Quite a strong final, although adding some of my Semi 1 faves (Danæviia, République d'Áskorza, Jadakissnia, Harmonica and Mosquetania) would've made it even better.

That would be a very, very bad joke.

I do not approve the Semi 1 results.

Still better than 19th :arrr:
