The interludes are not needed. Paris, Texas & Grandfather are my fave songs. A&W sums up the sound of the album perfectly. Cinematic but also experimental. I do love Taco Bell x VB but whoever called it a sample has no idea what a sample is as it is just 3 minutes of vb

The rumour behind ‘Movie’ being placed as a ‘Fearless’ track is so they can release ‘Speak Now’ TV as a completely solo written record & as it was a Target bonus track. Noone would miss it. ‘All of the Girls’ not being on ‘Lover’ is just weird. Especially when ‘I Forgot That You Existed’ & ‘London Boy’ are there.

not quite, but i'm in good stead with important people at Sony who personally invited me to the Mimi album playback last month. I mean I did literally post about 4 weeks ago about 'Freezing' - i called it the opposite of 'House on FIRE' and said it was sonically similiar. Freezing being the opposite of Fire - it worked in my head at the time.

I'm really not sure much of OD even really exists... There was a few tracks recorded with Michelle Bell (Mona Lisa, Ouch, Take Off). None particularly that interesting. Also a lot of tracks rumoured to be on OD are actually ITZ leftovers. I think things took a shift with Rebellion and the Blackout sessions started and there's a blurred line over what era is what...

My blood is deffo part of her best work. It fascinates me how its referenced in LMLYD (a song she didn’t write) & i feel its councidental though “youre the colour of my blood” makes v. little sense

i think there is probably a Britney version of this album... they just preferred Myah's vocals better right? I'm just thinking it'd be weird for her to only record parts of songs.

it was the circumstances around it i think... though were always used to Ellie's eras being a bit messy (Brightest Blue anyone?) This particular era seemed set in stone. None of the singles were hits and yet they seemed to proceed forward with the release date. She announced 2 shows at Koko alongside it's release. The album has been pressed on vinyl and CD and then suddenly the release date is changed about 2 weeks before because of "exciting opportunities". Were then told she's doing a Calvin track, which will only make the virtual copy, which could have just been held off for a re-release 2 months down the line. It's incredibly odd for an artist who seemed to be having no commercial success and her label seemed to accept that to suddenly change plans 2 months before. All this, alongside the fact her management team are the ones booking the UK entry to Eurovision. Even now, the Calvin song has been delayed due to a sample clearance and the BBC have a strict no-sample policy for Eurovision. In retrospect, the Koko show was great and it is rather unusual for a star of Ellie's ilk to debut mainly new music a month ahead of release but it was great.

what promo does she need to do? the songs huge... if anything i think her label is the same as Harry Styles' right? And I think their following the Harry's House era... not much in the way of promo, drop album, see what does well and push that next.

Everything around this era has set the Eurovision rumours though. Even up to the release of the Calvin song & the latest rumour of there being a delay over a sample clearance & theres some issues with Eurovision & samples apparently.

The festival is in California which is 8 hours behind. So I suppose technically if she took a jet. She could do both :lol:

Shes not during Eurovision. She has a festival booking the same day. A reliable rumour for y’all. Collab with Calvin Harris is apparently called Miracles & out March 10th.

Its got a tracklist & will deffo be out in March. I guess they feel like theres nothing that surprising about the tracklist.
