  1. The blackmailing is just another example of the shocking behaviour of this government. Johnson claims there is no evidence just like he did when it came to light about lockdown breaches. I personally hope Johnson stays as PM as it will do his party more harm in the long run and hopefully put a swift end to this Tory government at the next election.

  4. I suspect this will be a download only album which you can stream but no physical product.
  5. It’s only on one of the download editions of the album and you don’t have to purchase those tracks if you already have them!
  6. It’s interesting that a number of health professionals have raised concerns about the governments future covid strategy - in particular plans to drop the legal requirement to self-isolate if you test positive. Barchester which is a care home company have stated they will not be adhering to this approach and will require a risk assessment on all staff. Omicron is still highly infectious, unpredictable and dangerous virus and I don’t have any trust in the governments approach. It is not based on the science and no where else is following this policy.
  7. In normal times such as pre-pandemic, yes people should have a choice about their rights but during a pandemic, there needs to be a balance between protecting people and human rights. It’s not much to ask people to wear a mask. They have been shown to protect people from getting the virus and if we all do our bit, we can help to limit transmission.
  8. So happy to see Adele is not no1, even if that will be short lived. Credit to Lewis Capaldi - great album!
  9. I’ve only ever worked from home in my current job which I’ve been doing for the past 18 months and still haven’t even met some of my work colleagues. Working from home has positives but there are draw backs. I live on my own and I struggle with working from home due to lack of social contact with my colleagues. It’s not the same speaking over the phone and you can feel quite isolated. However, it is a better work life balance as I don’t have to commute and saves money on petrol and a wear n tear on my car but I’m spending more on heating and electricity costs in my home.. I think working from home will become more the norm for many organisations in the future as a way of reducing company overheads and more meetings will be conducted virtually to save time and travelling costs to meeting venues.
  10. The latest announcement on restrictions is yet another example of their shambolic handling of the pandemic. Removing pretty much all the measures when cases are still relatively high is dangerous, crazy and just shows their sheer incompetence.
  11. Fully agreed - I will continue wearing a face covering. It’s not much to ask and helps prevent spread of the virus. I don’t understand the negativity around masks.
  12. The decision to drop plan b covid measures is political and not based on science. It’s way too early. Johnston is playing games with his own party and the public in the hope that dropping restrictions will boost his own popularity and buy him time.
  13. I agree - the energy prices spike will hurt many families and businesses. Other factors such as the increase in NI contribution, increase in petrol prices and impact of Brexit on food prices will also be felt.
  14. Johnson’s position looks increasingly untenable. His latest rhetoric is that ‘no one warned’ him about the lockdown party involving bring your own booze on 20th May and even if this is true which is highly debatable, he did nothing to stop the party or any of the others that have taken place. He is clearly trying his best to deflect and avoid taking any responsibility. He is a compulsive liar and the British public can see through it. He talks about developing a culture which stamps out this kind of behaviour but he only has his own interests at heart and it’s mere lip service. I suspect he will be gone in the next few months after a leadership contest but the problem lies much deeper in his own party. Its not just Johnson who has been dishonest but so have many others associated with his own party including Cummings, who Johnson failed to challenge when he broke the rules. The question is will the public be ready to forgive and forget by the time of the next election?
  15. The remixes album could be interesting but hopefully not like those remixes which surfaced of frozen that were rubbish.

Love the sound of the new singles!
  17. I like her cover of this and it deserved a top 3 placing.
  18. Sooner or later is really good. Looking forward to the album!

My top 3 would be; 1. Tiffany 2. LeAnn Rimes 3. Christina Aquilera
  20. Given the news of further lockdown parties held on the eve of Prince Phillips funeral, can it really get any worse for the Tories? It’s only a matter of time before Johnson goes but whoever replaces him won’t have an easy time. The only saving grace for the Tories is they are over two years away from another general election and they will be hoping the general public will have forgiven or forgotten by then. I think there will certainly be a protest vote at the local elections, which may be the time when Johnson is forced out if not before.
  21. Another example of one rule for us and one for them - re. The Met refusing to investigate the Downing Street lockdown breaches. More allegations have surfaced this morning of further parties at no10 on the eve of Prince Phillips funeral.
  22. I don’t think the public will forget Johnson’s behaviour or his parties shambolic handling of the pandemic by the next election. Covid has been an extraordinary event for lots of people - many people have lost loved ones and many have suffered trauma too. The damage done by this will stay for quite some time and even if Johnson manages to stay in office, I highly suspect there will be other incidents that come out of the closet at some point in the future.
  23. You almost sound like you’re trying to dismiss the seriousness of the situation. Remember this is a man who is prime minister of this country and has gone to an event which he knows full well it shouldn’t have taken place. Trying to justify it as a work event is insulting when there was alcohol involved and his partner attended. It’s a massive deceit on behalf of the public who at the time were ordered to stay at home and adhere to lockdown rules. He should have known better given his role and all he has done is try to cover it up and now he has to face the consequences of his lies and incompetence.
  24. I prefer disco but golden was still good. The artwork for golden was better though!
  25. Just read in the Guardian that the Scottish leader of Tories has said if Johnson was at the party then MPs will debate whether to have a vote of no confidence in him.
