  1. I don’t think the general public will forget this though. There are a lot of people who are angry about it. Particularly those who were unable to see sick relatives or say goodbye to dying loved ones. It may not have any immediate effect but it certainly undermines Johnson and his government and will do further damage to the party.
  2. What are peoples thoughts about cutting the isolation period from 7 to 5 days? This worries me to be honest. They have already cut it from 10 days and its not based on proper medical research. It appears to be more a political thing to help the economy rather than ensuring people are protected. I don’t trust anything that the Tories say or do regarding covid.
  3. It’s all been a cover up. They were all at it while people were dying and their relatives couldn’t even say goodbye. I hope he and his party get what’s coming to them!
  4. The media are reporting an email showing people were invited to a gathering in the Downing Street gardens during lockdown when groups should not have been meeting outdoors. When Johnson was asked about it, he smirked and just said it’s being looked into. Completely outrageous and further evidence that the Tory party has never taken covid seriously right from the beginning.
  5. I do agree with you tbh. Given the virus is highly transmittable, even with the measures there is still a high risk of catching it but unless this shambolic government decides an alternative approach then all you can do is try and protect yourself as much as possible. I do feel very uncomfortable teaching face to face in a large group right now. The minister for wales has made some very valuable points today in relation to the lack of restrictions in England.
  6. Can I ask…firstly are you vaccinated and have you had your booster? I teach on a part time basis and like you I am also concerned about catching covid at the minute. I think there are a few steps you can put in place to try and protect yourself. I’ve told students that as I have underlying health issues, I am asking them to keep a social distance and wear a face mask if they need to speak to me in private or come to my table. In addition, I carry antibacterial wipes and handwash around with me and use these regularly. I would also ensure you keep a window open in the room where you are teaching to provide some ventilation.

  8. This gets better with more listens. Deffo her strongest track since chained to the rhythm.
  9. I agree a full lockdown isn’t the answer but neither is allowing hospitals to become so overwhelmed at a time when the NHS is also being impacted by high levels of staff sickness caused by covid. Johnson was on TV tonight bragging about the U.K. being one of only a few countries keeping their economy fully open but I’m sure all the relatives of patients awaiting urgent operations which have been delayed several times now due to the crisis in hospitals will be pleased to hear that. A large proportion of the workforce being off sick is also hardly the recipe for a thriving economy.
  10. Disco was only no66 on Tuesday in midweeks so don’t know how it’s managed to be no14 today but excellent news!
  11. Chocolate reaching no6 was a surprise for me. I didn’t expect it to make the T10.
  12. Any additional measures issued now would surely help to limit any future spread of this highly contagious virus, protect vulnerable people and the NHS which is at risk of being unable to function properly. I’m not talking about a full lockdown but doing nothing will only lead to a longer more protracted period of higher infections but Johnson appears more concerned about the economy and upsetting the Apple kart within his own party.
  13. I would agree with body language only peaking at no6 on the back of Fever and rhythm of love only getting to no9.
  14. I’m interested to know fans views on chart moments which surprised or shocked you. There are a few that stand out for me; Can’t get you out of my head - Never expected the song to be as big as it was on the back of her successful light years album Word is out - 1st single to miss the T10. Some kind of bliss - Completely missed the T20 and lowest position for a Kylie single at that time. More shocking as it was the first single from the album. Never too late - first single to stall outside T3. Deserved to do better as great song and remember it moved to no2 on Pepsi chart.
  15. £2k sales is ok but not impressive. The double album is being sold at less than half the original price. I thought it might have gone T40 tbh but this is better than nothing I guess.
  16. Johnson is on bbc news saying the pressure on hospitals is going to be immense over the coming weeks due to covid so what’s he going to do about it! Sweet FA so far. Hospitalisations are up 70% compared to last week and many staff are off sick. As a result, many hospitals have issued critical incidents meaning they are unable to provide critical care. It’s reckless that peoples lives are potentially being put at risk.
  17. Sorry, I was just focusing on albums. 2017 is another year between Kylie Xmas and Golden when no album was featuring in the charts.
  18. Kylie sounded a bit squeaky at the beginning but got better as the song progressed. She looked amazing though! Hopefully, the price reduction and promotion can give disco another week in the T75.
  19. Well I enjoyed watching his performance. It was good promotion and nice to see Kylie and PSB Join him!
  20. I suspect 1996 and 1997. The gap between Kylie Minogue and Impossible Princess album.
  21. I quite like the remix but should have been released much earlier with an ep of mixes.Sadly, too little too late!
  22. Is Marinas deluxe edition download only? Not seen a physical for sale anywhere?
  23. I really like this. Best thing she has done in ages.
  24. Hospital admissions up to 10400 from 8000 in last two days. 183k new cases today but only 50 something deaths.
  25. It’s not just Scotland and Wales who have implemented extra restrictions. Many other countries have too including Germany and France. I think the focus has changed somewhat during this current phase of the pandemic. Yes, most people are vaccinated now and Omicron doesn’t appear to be as serious. However, the high rate of infections could still easily overwhelm the NHS so it’s a difficult balance by ensuring that doesn’t happen and people are allowed their freedom to socialise and go about their everyday lives. I’d rather have someone in charge who is more cautious than someone who doesn’t appear to care. Johnson has been wrong several times before by delaying lockdown and other measures which could have saved many lives earlier in the pandemic so he can hardly be trusted to get it right.
