Shame no physical cd for the extended mixes!

I disagree. We have a new variant which has already been found in a number of countries and could be more transmissible and possibly evade vaccines so until further research has been done, I think the measures are required. They will hurt business but peoples health and well being has to come first.

It’s ironic we have a prime minister who is trying to encourage us all to wear face masks but yet doesn’t wear one himself when filmed in public places such as on trains or in a hospital. You lead by example and not just what you say.

Good to hear masks will be compulsory again but question is will people comply? I can see it being a big issue for some people. I think it’s a good thing. They never should have ditched them!

It’s quite worrying that cases have already been discovered here. Let’s hope this doesn’t develop further as we could potentially be pushed back into another lockdown which would be disasterous.

I’m guessing disco has now crossed 150k mark?

Glad Kylie just managed another week in T75. Maybe 1 more week when the vinyl extended mixes come out?

Not surprising this didn’t do well. Badly managed reissue!

The government have at least put a ban on flights but it will probably already be too late and they also need to do more to bring down infection levels in this country. There was always a risk of a new variant developing with cases so high and relying solely on the vaccine without any other measures is pretty poor. Time will tell whether we require a new lockdown. We are in a better position somewhat than last year due to people being vaccinated but it will depend on whether cases continue to rise, deaths and impact on NHS. We certainly haven’t seen the end of the pandemic.

A new more potentially dangerous covid variant has been found in some African countries. It is more transmissible and vaccine may not fully protect!

I’ve listened to all the extended mixes now. They are mostly really good. There is also an extended mix on utube for hey lonely, kiss of life and can’t stop writing songs about you. Does anybody know if these extended versions are official? They sound official.

The album has dropped out of the T100 after just 1 week. Can’t believe that!

Total sales will be close between disco and golden. I suspect disco is unlikely to overtake golden unless there is more promo and the album rebounds. I do prefer disco to golden but golden seemed to have a longer shelf life and was out pre-covid. If disco had come out this year, I suspect it may have sold more but wouldn’t have reached no1 as album sales seem higher this year.

Doing better than I expected this week which is good. Hopefully another week in the T75.

I don’t hate Adele. I’ve actually got her first three albums and like some of her music but I do think she’s completely overhyped. There is just as good music if not better from a lot of other artists who don’t sell half as well. I also don’t like the sound of the style of the new album, it’s just not for me!

I liked Adele’s last album 25 but this one doesn’t interest me. Easy on me sounds like a lot of her other stuff and having heard clips from iTunes of the new album, it’s not really clicking with me at all so it will be the first album of hers which I’m not buying.

Will probably drop out of the T75 this week which is pretty poor for a reissue but with little promotion, it’s not surprising. Has anyone heard the extended versions from disco? They are all on utube. Say something is great. Not listened to the others yet!

This is one of the strangest reissues I’ve come across. Only 2 new tracks and no physical CD. No promotion at all. What on earth were the record company thinking?

Already been reduced on Amazon. May help to attract some additional sales but will probably drop out of T75 this week which is a shame.

112k for first day is good in the current climate but that figure will include lots of preorders. It’s probably going to outsell ABBA’s first week sales (unfortunately) but highly unlikely to sell anything like the first week sales achieved of her last two albums.

Glad disco held on at no10. In most weeks earlier this year, she would have been top 3.

I’ve heard clips of the album and it’s nothing amazing. More hype than anything. Much prefer ABBA’s album. Adele will do well whatever she puts out unfortunately.
