  1. All I wanna do came out at a time when Kylie was really struggling chartwise and this actually performed reasonably well. It was certainly Dannii's strongest release up until that point and is still one of her better tracks.
  2. Is the deluxe CD a limited edition? It wasn't available in my local HMV today or on Amazon.
  3. The energy price cap has increased by 80% to £3549. If you thought that was bad enough, there are some predictions it will increase to over £6k by Apr-June 2023. For many people and not just those on low incomes, this will cause real financial hardship.
  4. Toxic is her best and most credible hit. I really like the Britney album too and in the zone.
  5. Johnson has yesterday said Putin is to blame for record gas prices and higher energy bills in the UK. However, that's only half the story and it seems like the government are just looking for someone to blame to avoid them having to take responsibility. Yes, gas prices have increased fourfold since the war in Ukraine but other factors such as covid have also played a role and market failure is one of the biggest causes in this crisis. When energy companies are raking in record profits at the expense of record increase in prices, then we clearly have a system which is completely broken.
  6. I've listened to the first two CDs of Finally enough love. The 2nd CD is brilliant and I like most of the mixes. However, I am somewhat disappointed with some of the mixes used on CD1. Justify my love, erotica, fever and keep it together are all pretty poor.
  7. Sales are pretty low in the current climate so I'd be surprised if this wasn't T5 in the first midweeks. You only need about £5k these days to be T5 in the early midweeks.
  8. I'm surprised don't tell me is T10. I don't think it's one of her strongest. Ray of light, holiday, material girl or crazy for you are better choices. I'm personally not a big fan of express yourself neither but I can understand why this has made their T10.
  9. You are missing the point though. LGBTQ+ have often faced discrimination and oppression when coming out so it’s a positive statement he is making that he can finally be himself and is comfortable with who he is. Attitudes towards being gay have changed significantly in the last 30-40 years through changes to legislation such as the age of consent being equalised and LGBTQ+ people being given more rights against discrimination. In the past, you could be locked up for being gay or detained under the mental health and sadly these practices still occur in some countries. Heterosexual people have never had to deal with these kinds of experiences in respect of their sexuality, so they would have no need to release an album under the title ‘heterosexual’.
  10. Why is it looking for attention? I think the guy just wants to celebrate the fact he is finally comfortable with who he is, after years of having to hide his true self. Nothing wrong with that at all and hardly desperate. The guy went through a terrible time in the 90s and the impact this had on his mental health was awful.
  11. It’s not a term that is particularly used as much these days. When it was used in the past, ‘homosexual’ was often used to pathologise or stigmatise same sex relationships particularly in a clinical setting where heterosexual was seen as the so called ‘norm’. Gay / lesbian is a far more inclusive term.

No way near as good as space man.
  13. I would say top 5 but it’s quite pricy for the deluxe and not sure how this will appeal outside her main fan base. Are the mixes continuous or separate tracks on the CD?
  14. His new single - All you pretty things is the strongest new track by far.
  15. I like some of the new versions. My favourites are as follows; Moving on up is really good. Sight for sore eyes is great too. Love me or not is fantastic. One thing I would say is the album could have been longer at only 11 tracks.
  16. The runner sounds a lot better than hard to forget tbh.
  17. https://www.musicglue.com/darrenhayes His new album is called Homosexual. A very brave title in my opinion. I am not sure I would have chosen that particular title personally; as homosexual is an outdated term.
  18. Very interesting how someone from Ofgem has resigned over claims the company are favouring businesses rather than consumers - Has she only just realised this?!? The Guardian is also reporting that up to 2/3 households will be in fuel poverty by next year. That’s a shocking and alarming figure.
  19. I’m not excited by this release. Not a big fan of the new single and the other new track is a cover of a Bananarama song and I’m not a fan of their covers apart from tragedy. The lack of new content means I will probably pass on this unless the new remixes are worth buying or they release a special edition including new content.
  20. What do people think of the album? I like it but one of the weakest tracks is one night in heaven. The original is probably my favourite song of theirs but the new version just doesn’t suit the song.
  21. Well Truss has already seen a bit of a backlash due to her remarks about British workers needing more graft. This is just one example of how she is so out of touch with the lives of many people living in the UK and reflects a Tory Party who are in an appalling state with nothing constructive or credible to offer to resolve the many problems that we are facing.
  22. In France, energy prices have only gone up 4% and their energy firm is state owned. In Britain, our energy prices have quadrupled. It’s all about greed, profit and an incompetent government.
  23. Well labour have said they would scrap the energy cap price rise in October and extend the windfall tax against energy companies. It will be interesting to see what the Tories do now given they were initially opposed against the idea of a windfall tax when labour first announced it. Pressure is certainly going to build on the government and measley tax cuts is not enough to resolve this issue.
  24. All of the problems you have highlighted are associated with having a 12 year Tory government who have focused on austerity, cuts, Brexit, undermining workers rights and promoting self-interest/greed of corporate companies like the energy firms. Things are unlikely to improve because both Sunak & Truss are advocating tax cuts but our services already don’t have enough money to function fully and further tax cuts will only mean a smaller welfare state.
