  1. Labour are ahead in the polls by upto 12 points at the moment but not sure how this will translate at local elections in terms of votes. I’m hoping the Tories will lose lots of seats but I’m not confident that Labour will do brilliantly. There is still an issue over how the party is perceived among the wider public in terms of their electability. Given we have had nearly 15 terrible years of the Tories, resulting in austerity, the cost of living crisis, partygate and the shambolic handling of covid, I would have expected Labour to be doing much better to be honest. I suspect it will be far closer at a general election and most probably result in a hung Parliament. One would hope if this was the outcome, Labour would forge an alliance with other parties to keep the Tories out.
  2. A new updated greatest hits seems fitting to mark 25 years in the business. Hopefully, we will get some new tracks and some special formats including bonus stuff.
  3. Johnson was on the news today regarding the Angela Raynor fiasco stating he would ‘unleash terrors of the earth’. Just what on earth does that mean? He is full of bull, has no substance and talks rubbish most of the time. Why he was ever elected as PM in the first place is beyond me.
  4. I really don’t like Macron and there was a part of me hoping Le Pen would win to be honest although her connections to Moscow were concerning.
  5. Sounds more like a B side or album track than a comeback single!
  6. Well it was pretty obvious whose getting my vote - Sophie of course!!
  7. I think I have appreciated the song more as it’s aged but the abbey road version is particularly beautiful.
  8. Yeah, the Mail article is vile and purely a tactic to distract from the Tories current problems.
  9. I agree Johnson is completely unfit for office but if the Tories do badly at the local elections then that could well be the trigger for a leadership contest.
  10. According to the Guardian, there is speculation that Johnson has been issued a further fine by the police. If true, this will be incredibly damaging for him and I can’t see how he is going to survive long term. It’s only a matter of time before he is gone hopefully.
  11. Confide in me by Kylie Minogue. Such a strong comeback song which truly deserved to dislodge the Wets after their 15 week run at no1. Unfortunately, the awful Whigfield did it instead.
  12. I don’t understand why this is not being included on the physical album. The Griff duet should also have been included. This is a bit darker than her other stuff but I still like it.
  13. I haven’t liked any of the other Tory leaders but I did at least respect the likes of Cameron and May, even if I didn’t agree with their policies. However, Johnson is in a unique category of his own. He is a fake; has no substance or credibility about him and is completely insincere. I don’t trust him an inch and suspect a lot more will surface yet about partygate before he goes.
  14. Cryptocurrency is really dodgy so this doesn’t appeal to me at all.
  15. Well it’s good news that Johnson is now facing an investigation over whether he misled Parliament. Partygate will remain the news for some time to come and hopefully add further damage to the Tory party, regardless of whether Johnson stays in post.
  16. Is the deluxe version coming out on CD in the future? There is a TBC release on Amazon but no further details on what this might be. I really want the deluxe for space and the new tracks.
  17. I wasn’t keen on the style of volume 1 so I doubt this will interest me!
  18. slowdown73 posted a post in a topic in Madonna's Madonna
Madonna looks a mess to be honest. I wish she would just act her real age instead of trying to look and act like she is 30 years younger. It just sends out the wrong message that there is something bizarrely wrong with ageing rather than just accepting it as being a part of life. Yes, she will always have a fantastic legacy but there is very little new music she has brought out since confessions that has struck the same chord with me as her earlier stuff. Hard candy was a step too far down the urban route and didn’t really suit her. We then had three albums under her new label and none of them are a patch on any of her earlier material. Maybe she is just trying too hard to fit in with the current trends by working with people like Nicki Minaj who are just crap rather than doing a classic Madonna record. Kylie’s disco album is a very good example of this and it worked well.
  19. Well it’s great to see a Kylie track make no1 in the countdown and interesting Kylie also has more songs in their T15 than any other artist.
  20. The new policy on deporting illegal refugees to Rwanda is shocking, disturbing and completely inhumane. It just shows the Tory party have absolutely nothing credible to offer to respond to the problems this country is facing and that their time in office needs to come to an end soon.

It’s hardly a flop. 500k in todays current market would be considered a major success. Back in the time when the album came out, it didn’t do as well as it’s predecessors but this was probably due to its change in style and move away from pop to darker edge.
  22. Chain reaction is my least favourite but very difficult choice for favourite. It was between scared of the dark and love’s got a hold of my heart but I chose dark as my favourite!
  23. Slightest touch is my least favourite. Another dodgy cover. It’s the way you make me feel is my favourite!
  24. I’m not keen on better the devil you know. It’s just so inferior to Kylie’s version. One for sorrow is best.
  25. I voted for borderline but I don’t search, I find is a really good track too.
