As much as I don't like to admit it I am betting Missing You is as Front loaded as a Mike Tyson punch. Cannot see 3.7k being enough to hold Flo Rida off with.

Meantime this chart battle is going to go to the wire. Even if The Sats make it to no 1 on itunes I think it will start to free fall Thursday Friday Saturday. Therefore they will only cling onto number one if physicals, sales of remixes and sales of the EP are strong.
  3. They are acoustic versions

Well their desicion to ditch Jayne looks even stupider now The Wanted are cruising to number one

You cannot compare with Girls Aloud. Jayne had a passion and a conviction that no other manager can match. A lot of my love for The sats has gone

Sacking Jayne will be the final nail in the coffin. With Jayne she put her all into the Sats and managed them with passion. If they get a bigger management company, the company will not be passionate about the sats and their fans, they will just see them as another client. What has gone wrong for the sats is timing. They should have held off with the 2nd album until the spring this year and had a break, they should have stuck with a similar sound to chasing lights. Crucially, however it is the label and not the management that decide what song to release and when. Jayne has inspired Sats fans, and has created a band that interact through the various twitter accounts more than any other. Thier flips are also a revolution. I cannot remember any other band that always uploads a video a week, even when they are not releasing songs. It was Jayne that landed them an appearence on dancing on ice in January when the label thought the campaign was long over. I could go on and on. But I think The Sats owe everything to the passion of their management.

According to the official forum this is the press release for Missing You: [q] The Saturdays return with their new single Missing You on August 9th, the first release from their brand-new album, released one week later on August 16th. Missing You is a club hit in waiting and features the five girls on storming form. The bittersweet lyrics are an ode to a lost love, sung beautifully over some monster synth riffs, perfect for a summer smash. Fittingly, the video was recently shot in sunny Malaga. Mollie, Rochelle, Frankie, Vanessa and Una have gone from strength to strength since the release of their last album, 2009’s Wordshaker. They have toured the UK, scored a string of hit singles and are currently the stars of an enormous TV and billboard campaign by Impulse. The last single Ego has now sold over 250,000 copies and spent over three months in the top 40. The new album will be an eight track collection, and feature Missing You, the previous singles Ego and Forever Is Over. As well as the release of new material, summer 2010 will be massive for The Saturdays and their fans, as the band play a series of huge live shows: Sat 12th June – Isle of Wight festival Fri 18th June – Isle of Man festival Thurs 24th June – Hamilton Park, Glasgow Sunday 4th July – T4 on the Beach [/q] Really does seem like a do or die month for The Sats. It is as if there was not enough money for a new album so all the hope is going on the single and the EP.
