From mtv.tv:As of August 1, 2012 the Euro Top20 has been suspended from programming on MTV Europe.
As of August 1, 2012 the Base Chart has been suspended from programming on MTV Europe.
As of August 1, 2012 the Dancefloor Chart has been suspended from programming on MTV Europe.
As of August 1, 2012 the UK Hitlist has been suspended from programming on MTV Europe.
That means that now MTV can finally rest in piece by playing only reality shit..............
Does this mean MTV are still publishing a European top 20 each week despite the info quoted above?

I had a listen last night and well... :( I'm not sure what makes this so special so maybe the rise of Carly Rae Jepsen has allowed Taylor Swift to take advantage. I prefer 'You Belong To Me' (and I wasn't a big fan of that song either). :cry:
That aside, I've voted 6-10. #1 in so many other countries iTunes charts doesn't equal UK official chart succes (see 'Alors On Danse', 'Ai Se Eu Te Pego!', 'Born This Way', 'Euphoria' etc...).

#32 :cheer: Top 40 this week hopefully!Let's hope so. That and 'Little Talks' should both make good progress up iTunes next week once the Olympics effect has worn off. The iTunes chart has been extremely chaotic this week that it makes me wonder where Emeli Sande, Kate Bush, Elbow, Ed Sheeran, etc... will be on iTunes this time next week.
I reckon Cheryl will benefit and be looking set to go top 10 this weekend, or early next week at least. Then there's new releases from that Bom Bom song and the alledged Taylor Swift new single release (which remains to be seen) so I can imagine iTunes chart next week being just as chaotic. :lol:

I noticed earlier in the week that Taylor Swift's new single went in at #1 upon its release on US iTunes. On Kworb it was 0.0000 then 1.0000 1 hour later with #2 on something like 0.4000!!! Literally must've sold several bucketloads in that first hour or so, and to debut at #72 with barely a whole week of sales, and possibly no airplay as of yet suggests this is going to be massive.
Like Umi has posted, I reckon there's a very good chance Taylor will be #1 next week. Her tracks are usually very successful anyways but this is taking off in quite an extraordinary way.

Having checked out several other countries iTunes charts this afternoon I noticed Taylor Swift was doing incredibly well in quite a few different iTunes charts so maybe getting this released now might be a wise move. Even if it doesn't get to no. 1, if it's "catchy" as others are making out (I'm going to YouTube this after :D ) then it could well be successful like 'Starships' was - not a #1 but great longevity.

Back on Predicta topic, for some reason I get a feeling that the male rapper by Mdice will somewhat win this contest and people are underpredicting it (after I saw it qualifying through to the finals).
Oh, I do hope not. :(
I'd be distraught if that song was to win BJSC. It's got a fair few h8ters - and I can't imagine the pop fanz voting for it in their droves. The only positive thing I can predict about Mdice's entry is that it won't be in the bottom 7.

It was easily one of my personal highlights from a relatively ok final. Same is going to happen this month in BJSC - there are about 50% of the tracks in the time I have little time for, which is excellent news for the other 50% and will make voting easier. It's just a case of ordering the tracks into an order I feel is justified.

I'm disappointed that this has suffered in the last couple of weeks due to the opening/closing ceremoies dominating iTunes thus pushing this down. Once the Olympics are just a faded memory, perhaps 'Some Nights' will finally become the hit it deserves. fun. are proving to be one of my fave newcomers of 2012 following the massive success of 'We Are Young' in my chart. :D

When did you first chart this? :o This has been doing well in my chart since its rise in populariy in Belguim and entering the HIT30. It's still no 'Black And Gold' but I really like this track regardless. I was considering entering this into BJSC but everyone I PM'd my shortlist to put this last in their order of faves. :(

They're just about on par with each other for me. This has achieved the higher peak so I'm clearly liking this a little bit more than 'Get Out My Head' which peaked at #16 in comparison.

I think Lemonade were entered into UP with a different track iirc, but it made nowhere near as much of an impression on me as 'Big Changes' has done. Still, a competitive chart means this wasn't able to enter any higher but has a good chance of climbing next week.
(Fab chart, great to see Asaf in your future releases, though you could probably chart it now if you wanted, since it was a hit in Germany :D )
Actually, Asaf made my Pre-Release pure thanks to its success in Germany and the fact it's charting in the HIT30 (currently #24 there :D ) so the whole BJSC thing is a pure co-incidence. A bit like you sending TAL two months ago actually. :o 'One Day' is a really strange song that requires quite a few listens - I guess the track will either click or you'll hate it. It was a proper risk entering this into BJSC but I'm glad you made the final. :D

It's got a good chance but I'd say the battle for my #1 next week is now a lot more wide open with fun, Charli XCS and Of Monsters And Men all making significant progress in the top 10. Then there's next weeks new entries - my top 10 could go one of several ways and I've not even thought about my next chart yet. :o

I'm shocked that this made no impression on during BJSC last November because I really like 'Little Talks' now. I guess this is like how everyone else wasn't keen on Gotye at first but 'STIUTK' suddenly grew on almost everyone within 6 months of me entering the sing into BJSC.

Nothing against the lad but I'm happy that 'No Name' by Ryan O' Shaugnessy isn't taking off in the same way it has in Ireland (although it's not difficult to know why. See Jedward :D ). Even when he performed this on BGT I thought it was such a boring song with no chorus. It just sounds like two long verses to me. :(

Arrs sent me the 6 1/2 minute track and asked if I could edit down to around 4 minutes. That was the plan but the ending I gave the track was terrible so I used a fade out effect instead. Technically, it was done by me though. :D

If you took out the 4 tracks from the Olympics Closing Ceremony above Porter Robertson he would have been top 10. On a quiet week he could have mustered a top 10 hit, shame about the Olympics coverage getting in the way.
It's not a shame to be fair. Seeing Elbow going top 3 on iTunes with a three year old track has provided me with a :D moment. It's such a popular song, and it's been like an unofficial national anthem for the UK since its release.
Technically, 'One Day Like This' did make #1 thanks to that Comic Relief All Star Animated Band in 2009 ( :D ) but it's not the same as the genuine article.
