When 'Dreams' entered at #2, Gabrielle broke the UK chart record for highest chart entry for a new artist with their debut single. The previous holder of this title being Crystal Waters 'Gypsy Woman' when it entered at #3 (couldn't quite overtake the sheer selling power of Cher 'The Shoop Shoop Song' though). The first artist to enter the UK charts at #1 with their debut single? Some female singer from Denmark called Whigfield. :D

Maybe people just feel Ghosty deserves a BJSC win and are backing the song regardless. :D That said, 'Bring It Back' is a choon so it'd be winner representative of the contest overall (dance dominated, dance winner). Two dance winners in 2013 would be fantastic though.

Cheers Ken :D 30 (17) 2 Chainz feat. Wiz Khalifa - We Own It (Fast And Furious) (17-17-30) [3 wks] Seriously didn't see this climbing to the A-list on the Radio 1 playlist. To be honest, neither did I. Especially considering they B-listed the track the week it slipped out of the UK top 10. Seems Radio 1 were late to the party on this track, but they've A-listed many songs which got nowhere near the top 10. Someone at Radio 1 clearly loves the track.

30. It does seem to be holding up well in the iTunes top 20. Would be interesting to see how long Radio 1 keep the track A-listed and whether it has a bigger impact next week, or the following week. 39. 'Brand New Me' is such a lush song, the video was very subtle (ie; not much going on) but for me the song definitely did all the talking. 'TSWABH' was brilliant I thought, made #1 in my chart way back in 2010. :D It charted beforehand for me whilst the song was doing well in central Europe. 40. I don't know if Owl Eyes will be getting a UK released anytime soon. It's a track I discovered through BJSC - at least 50% of my chart each week in made up of BJSC related tracks. :D

I really liked Umi's entry so good to see Bebe Black through to the final.

Lune was always going to qualify imo. Aquafina aiming for their fourth consecuive top 10 will it be? :D

What surprises me the most about 'Super Trouper' is that it only reached #11 in Sweden. :lol: I thought this was one of those songs that went to no. 1 all over Europe but obviously not.

YAY for Ojnoj too, another favourite of mine from SF1. I'd say Unovia's entry was a ballad too tho? Or has that already been revealed?

Well yes, I had Oh Land down as a likely qualifier even though I did prefer the Bibio track more personally. If only there was a smiley that covered both :o and :D together I'd be using it right now.

Wowzers at Rich, I was convinced GD would get through as I suspected he'd have enough support from several others in SF2. That said, it didn't rank inside my top 10 faves (sorry Rich :( ) and another two songs I did vote for have already DNQ'd too. :( On the plus side, YAY for Young Galaxy. :D

I wonder if those 16 million views are genuine or bought? :lol: (the video looks incredibly high budget though)

Looking at the people who voted in SF1, I think Ben may well have qualified (his first qualification since rejoining BJSC I think :D )
