  1. Honestly, how can anyone not adore the glamorous SHOWHANDS in Harve's pic? :D  @ the 2nd version.
  2. ...but if the song proves to be really popular it may reclimb to #1 the following week, or maybe two weeks after John Newman. Anyways, I've got more incentive to buy 'I Love It' next week (if it really does get released). If it can outsell The Wanted I'll be very happy with their result even if Robin Thicke still outsells them both.
  3. How many weeks has 'Radioactive' been on the top 100? I remember 'Too Close' by Alex Clare finally cracking the US top 10 after something ridiculous like 7 months on the chart.
  4. Well I thought I was onto something ace when I first heard it (discovered 'Zombies In Love' exactly one month ago :D ) and initially had high hopes. These EDM (making sure I get the abbreviation correct this time  ) sweeping statements have made me doubt the track. :(
  5. Nah, I reckon you'll get through. It blends together dance elements and quirky ~hipster~ which mixed together seems like the perfect BJSC finalist.
  6. Quite literally THE best graphic I've ever seen in BJSC. You're an inspiration to all of us Harve. :D Think I'm gonna DNQ but at least Thermometer likes the track.
  7. What has happened to Buzzjack Matt? :( I don't want to be the new Mikey. Oh, and Batidas have voted. :D
  8. I guess that makes you NU Tirren then complete with a yearly graph portraying my demise on a yearly basis, whilst you continue to reinvent yourself until you peak and have a flop era. It WILL happen. :D (can someone post the Spice Girls ~hipster~ Pavel BYE pic pls thnx)
  9. If that does happen then it'll further prove just how stupid the record company has been. As many of us have said, they could've promoted this months ago when it was popular in central Europe and allowed the song to just keep selling throughout the year. Doing a "Gotye" is miles better than doing a "Sak Noel". :D
  10. Well that was an absolute FAIL on my behalf. :drama: :( I blame Pavel.
  11. Too much EDL has me worried, I didn't think there would be so many dance tracks entered. For the record, I have provisional votes and EDL made the cut. Naturally!!!
  12. Cheers Rich :D 02 (02) Robin Thicke feat. T.I. feat. Pharrell - Blurred Lines (02-02-02) [3 wks] Snap, this is an excellent song but I'm slightly shocked at how huge it's sales are! I'm just glad that 'Blurred Lines' has remained #1 on iTunes and prevented the Derulo from getting another UK #1. Whilst 'The Other Side' is better than 'IMH' and 'DWGH' I think Derulo has already had enough UK #1 hits to his name. Robin Thicke is doing incredibly and I'm hoping it continues next week and keeps 'Walks Like Rihanna' off the top spot. :D 09 (--) Rivaz - Colors (09) [1 wk] Yay, so pleased that this went top ten! Two entries of mine in a row to do so, I'm honoured! It also entered at #9 - the exact same entry position as 'Platinum Chains' so let's see which track has the better chart run in the long run. :D 18 (34) Olly Murs - Dear Darlin' (33-34-18) [3 wks] Interesting climb, it's far from my favourite Olly single but I can see why it's doing well It's grown on me quite a lot hence the climb, and Olly was slightly unfortunate last week to slip a place as I had 'Dear Darlin' set to climb but it just didn't happen. Technically, it slipped by default because the top 33 last week were just stronger. As some songs start to fade, it allows others to overtake at a later stage - this is a perfect example of that happening. 21 (31) Mariah Carey feat. Miguel - #Beautiful (31-31-21) [3 wks] Pleased to see this on the way up, it's sublime, her best single for ages, Touch My Body topped my chart in 2008  Hmm, I wasn't overly fond of 'Touch My Body' but do remember you really liking the song at the time. '#Beautiful' could well be inside the top 20 next week, it really is a great track.
  13. Cheers Liam :D 30 I first heard this on the Chart Show on Sunday and was really surprised at how much I liked it! Looking at the artists, it didn't seem like the sort of track I'd like, but no, I was quite impressed! :D It's now been A-listed by Radio 1 so it'll be interesting to see how much of an impact the increased airplay has on the song. The thing though with this type of music is that they rarely have a long lasting impact on me. I'll like a track like this for about 2 weeks then start getting bored of it. 39 Not as good in comparison to 'Girl on Fire' or 'Brand New Me', but I'm happy with this single choice. Radio 1 are supporting it which I was surprised at as I don't think they did so with 'Brand New Me' - I can't see it flopping as much as it did with their backing. Anyway, I hope 'New Day' can make the Top 40 and give her album a boost. Such a shame 'Brand New Me' bombed as it's been, by some distance, my fave Alicia single in this era. Alicia has some way to go to equalling her absolute best, imo, with 'Fallin' and 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart' my favourite two singles. I thought 'Empire State Of Mind' was overrated. 40 Is this synth-pop perfection like 'Fireflies' or trashy, teen-pop like 'Good Times'? I'm somewhat expecting the latter. :( It's neither. :P You're thinking of Owl City, whilst this is Owl Eyes. I can see where the confusions lies. Have a listen and see what you think, it's very indie/alternative and perhaps requires a couple of listens before it clicks. A-By07TWKbw
  14. Cheers Martin :D 01 (01) Postiljonen - Supreme (01-01) [2 wks] Great #1 would have climbed higher in my personal chart, but my top 3 is just perfect at the moment At least the track has had a decent run and a three week stint stuck at #4 so it's not all bad. This was always heading for my #1 spot ever since Harve entered the track into BJSC. 05 (14) London Grammar - Wasting My Young Years (14-05) [2 wks] Hoping for a top 20 entry in the official chart this week, not holding my breath though its such a great record. Well, it's done about as well as I'd hoped so I guess that's a good result. Never expected the song to be top 20 iTunes and would've been shocked (in a good way) had that been the case. 25 (--) Portugal. The Man - Purple Yellow Red And Blue (25) [1 wk] Nice to see the track entering your chart Another fine entry of yours courtesy of Unknown Pleasures. It's a weird one though, makes me wonder how well Kylienips would've fared had you entered Churchill into BJSC. You always do better in UP than in BJSC. Most of your chart is made up of tracks from UP and BJSC  I probably end up seeing Ivy Levan in there at some point  That's simply because these are the songs I listen to more than anything else. I'm not going to chart a song without hearing it am I? :P lol
  15. Two classic Europop songs there, takes me right back to my teenage years so naturally I like both. :D Iirc, when 'All That She Wants' was #1 in the UK, both 'Wheel Of Fortune' and 'Happy Nation' were riding high in other countries at the same time. Rare to see an act (particularly a new act) having three hits simultaniously across Europe where it's usually just the one song dominating in all countries.
  16. ...and BOOM!!! :D http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/pSLO1uwRFNE/hqdefault.jpg <--- Harve is the one sitting down btw
  17. If Isac Elliot couldn't do well (with what was admittedly a well produced pop song, just not really my thing) then I fail to see Ulrik doing better - being Swedish isn't always going to play in your favour. :P Sooner or later BJSC will have a winner that isn't Swedish (unless everyone starts entering Swedish only acts into the same contest :D )
  18. Hitstastic posted a post in a topic in BuzzJack Song Contest
...and Pavel's own entry will be lucky to come top half in the final? :D (well, it might do but I fail to see that one happening)
  19. It was Alyssa Reid 'Alone Again' although I'm sure the iTunes discount was a pure co-incidence. :P Still, it provided me with the much needed nudge to download the track and help 'Titanium' on its way to #1 that week. :D
  20. Hitstastic posted a post in a topic in BuzzJack Song Contest
Lovin' the modesty. :P You'll definitely do well this month Leww, another SF2 track I'll be gobsmacked if it didn't qualify.
  21. Hitstastic posted a post in a topic in BuzzJack Song Contest
Now that I've put you top of my odds I've probably cursed you. It did strike me as the most obvious qualifier though from SF2. It's ~hipster~ but also radio friendly enough to not alienate the pop fans. I really do think your entry will do well this month.

  24. Hi Liam :D So after endless weeks replying to my chart, I think it's about time I responded to yours. 01 | Jennifer Lopez featuring Pitbull - Live It Up [01-] 01 ...oh but what a start. :( Well, at least 'On The Floor' had five weeks at #1 in my chart back in 2011. :P 02 | John Newman - Love Me Again [03-02-02-02-] 04 How unfortunate for John Newman doing what appears to be your very own "Move Like Jagger" (already kept off #1 here by three different chart toppers). As I've posted elsewhere, the more I hear this the more I like it. I'll definitely be Team John when this gets released in a fortnight... 03 | Icona Pop featuring Charli XCX - I Love It [03-01-03-] 03 ...even though I'll still be supporting Icona Pop. I guess because I've known this for so long now I am getting a little bored of it now. However, someone (maybe it was you?) posted in the UK Chart forum that just because BuzzJackers have known about the song for over a year doesn't mean everyone else in the UK has. So looking at it from that perspective, it gives me renewed faith that this will become a monster hit. 05 | The Saturdays - Gentleman [37-20-08-05-] 04 What a contrast from 'What About Us'. I quite like this for all its quirkiness. Still not close to being my fave Saturdays single (that's still 'Up' and has been for 5 years now  ) but it's certainly an interesting track. 06 | Kelly Clarkson - People Like Us [06-] 01 After 'Catch My Breath', I wasn't expecting much from this before I heard it. However, I prefer this much more to 'CMB'. It's like how I much preferred 'What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)' so much more than 'Mr Know It All'. I have hopes for this track, think it could do relatively well. 10 | Robin Thicke featuring T.I. & Pharrell Williams - Blurred Lines [22-17-10-] 03 Three weeks selling 190k+ is astonishing. Not many singles have that amount of sheer selling power but this is clearly a track that is appealling to a wide range of people. As I posted in the sales thread, there's a battle now between this and 'Get Lucky' to see which gets there first. Would be quite an achievement in itself if both songs were to become million sellers in the same week. :D 13 | Dizzee Rascal featuring Robbie Williams - Goin' Crazy [06-07-13-] 03 Super catchy and Dizzee's best single for me since 'Bonkers!'. Best Robbie Williams related single since 'You Know Me' (yes, I really did just post that - there was something about that song I really liked  ) but 'Goin' Crazy' is a great track. 14 | Stooshe - Slip [03-03-05-08-08-06-10-11-12-12-14-] 11 Aww bless. I guess someone has to keep supporting them through these bleak times. :( I really did think 'Slip' would be the track that'd provide their career with a massive u-turn in fortune but it just didn't happen in the end. 15 | Emmelie de Forest - Only Teardrops [08-11-15-] 03 Completely over the Eurovision 2013 songs but for a fortnight this was the best thing from the contest so for me, this is a worthy winner. 18 | Mariah Carey featuring Miguel - #Beautiful [14-16-18-] 03 When this was first released, I avoided it. Then I caught part of the video where Miguel was singing and thought to myself "oh this sounds pretty decent". Then saw Mariah appear on screen and realised it was the song I'd tried to avoid. So yes, I instantly wrote this off without even hearing it, and it's turned out to be a rather fine track. The moral of the story is "don't judge a track by the artist name". We've all done it, right? :kink: 33 | Katy B - What Love is Made of [25-33-] 02 At the moment I'd say this is on par with 'Lights On' as my fave Katy B single to date. It is still growing on me though so by the time it's released I might be liking it a lot more. Depending on a certain track dominating the UK charts right now, I do reckon this might just have a shot at topping the UK chart. 39 | Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams - Get Lucky [05-02-03-09-25-30-39-] 07 Ouch!!! Didn't expect to see this as low as #39. :o I still adore this track, 8 weeks on and it's still comfortably in my top 3 this week.
