Last night Trifoski opened the semi final voting stages of BJSC LVII revealing the identity of all 51 songs that will compete this month. Batidas have drawn 14th in SF2 which brings us to our representatives for the contest. RÜFÜS are an Australian based indie/dance act who have spent the last 18 months touring in their native land of Oz, playing several festivals and creating remixes for Kitsuné (FRA) and Plant (USA). During that time RÜFÜS (aka Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George & James Hunt) have been writing and recording material for their debut album which was released last Friday in Australia and America. Have no fear though as RÜFÜS are representing Batidas with brand new track 'Sundream' taken from their debut album 'Atlas' and is a sublime fusion of indie and dance music. We literally discovered the track last week and instantly loved the previews. I'm probably the only one who actually thinks 'Burn' is Ellie's best single to date. It's jam packed with hooks throughout and makes the track such a brilliant pop song because of it. :D Just listening to the preview now of the new Arctic Monkeys and it's really funky (that's funky pls don't misread it thnx :P ). This is turning out to be such a great era for the Arctics. Hmm, listening to the preview of 'We Own The Night' by The Wanted and it is better than 'Walks Like Rihanna' so kudos to them. Still doesn't come close to 'Glad You Came' though.

Just been on Kworb to see the progress of 'Burn' but Ellie is still some distance from Miley Cyrus so maybe Avicii will return to #1 after all.

I once decreased AnthonyT's warn level back to 0% (he was on 10%) but that was because the reason for the initial warning was ridiculous and a complete over reaction. :lol: ¿ DESPEDIDO ? has pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Pretty much agree with your prediction, The Wanted really have lost the plot after getting such a massive hit with 'Glad You Came'. They really haven't released anything of note since then, and they've progressively got worse with each new single. Because of the Capital FM connections, I doubt they'll get dropped. They will just call it a day and split up within the next 12 months.

Such an uplifting slice of dance music, I'm sort of liking this more than the Cedric Gevais remix of 'Summertime Sadness'. Glad you liked Anise K but 13th is still a good result imo even if I had slightly over predicted myself to finished 9th. Oops!!! :kink: Young Galaxy just lost their way slightly but ASTR continues to climb. Bibio has ended up doing tremendously, it was literally 11th in my votes for the final but has already surpassed Bebe Black and Lune who did get small points from me. Pure grower, loving it more now than I did during the voting. I hope Aeroche deliver the goods in the next BJSC. :D

01 (01) Avicii - Wake Me Up (01-01-01) [3 wks] SNAP :P ...crackle and pop. :P 06 (--) Pet Shop Boys - Vocal (06) [1 wk] Shame the single didn't make the singles chart, their album is pure excellent. I listened to some of the album tracks on YouTube and the one thing that disappointed me the most was the lyrics. At their peak, Pet Shop Boys had the ability to produce outstanding synth pop, great singalong chorus' and interesting lyrics to really make them stand out as one of the big forces in 80s pop music. Lyrics like "every song has a vocal and that makes a change" just sounds really cheap to me. It's not the thought provoking stuff they're created at one time. Shame because if 'Vocal' was an instrumental (oh the irony of that :lol: ) it'd be amazing. The production on the track cannot be faulted. Phew!!! no sign of Miley Saurus in your chart :D No, and there won't be for a long time. Unless the next single is decent but I'm not holding my breath on that one. :P oooh, nice to see Thomas Azier on your Bubbling Under list Such a fantastic track, 10 points awarded in BJSC it was always going to make my Bubbling Under chart. A big hit in on the horizon. *.* I just hope Ellie doesn't lose out on a #1 next week with that odd remix of "Burn" on the iTunes chart, its probably her best track to date since "Under The Sheets", I just love that track by Ellie. Well, it's been deleted so hopefully 'Burn' benefits next week. I think this is potentially going to become my fave Ellie single to date overtaking 'Figure 8' (unless you want to count 'I Need Your Love' too). 'Your Song' made #5 for me and thus ranks as Ellie's highest charting single but I'm nowhere near as fond of that song as I am the aforementioned other 2 tracks.
