The Voice (UK) - Season 2
I agree with Jack, I'd rather have Team Will with 3 acts in the final 8. Can't remember who Ash is but considering it's Jessie J's team, they probably make dogs howl when they sing (or something to that effect? :D ). Would be interesting to see the breakdown of votes for each contestant. Again, I'm pretty certain that someone who was eliminated last night received more votes than someone in another team who won the public vote. Therefore it doesn't represent who the most popular singer in the contest is. However, with Leah up to #4 on iTunes I think it's safe to say that this series is already better than last year by actually releasing their performances (in studio quality too) on iTunes. It adds a bit of excitement to the show that was seriously lacking last year in the live shows. Let's see if Leah gets into the iTunes top 10 next weekend after she performs on The Voice. If she does, then it's pretty much set in stone that Leah is the true winner regardless of where she finishes in the show.

Scandipop Top 100 Best Selling Singles 1980-2012
'Move Your Feet' Would definitely rank inside my top 10 singles of 2003 if I ever got round to compiling such a list.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 2nd June 2013
Such a shame, it'd be the ideal week to release 'I Love It' and give it the chance to actually become a big hit. At this rate, even I won't bother downloading the song on iTunes when it finally drops in July 2016!!! :manson:

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 2nd June 2013
Agree 100% on both points. I also thought "this just sounds like Next To Me" when LeAnne was performing. She does those big notes really well, but a year on I still don't see any "star potential" in her. Also why did they perform in the order Tyler, Vince, Bo, Leanne? Does that mean Tyler finished 4th last year in the final? :o Anyways, releasing these The Voice performances now is actually such a brilliant idea. Had they done this last year, there might have been more interest come the final (maybe?). It's clear that Leah owned her version of 'I Will Survive' but like Bre's posted, it did verge towards the increasingly OTT singing that makes me cringe inside. Either Leah has peaked too early, or she has already won The Voice UK. Would laugh now though if someone else won and they do bugger all in the charts whilst finalist Leah has the biggest hit from the series. :D Still, I'd be interested in hearing an original song from Leah to give me a better idea of what type of artist she'd become. I liked the fact she took a disco classic and gave it an RnB makeover.

The Voice (UK) - Season 2
This might a bit too soon to make a prediction but I reckon I've just seen the winner of The Voice. It's maybe a bit too quirky for my liking but she captivates me.

The Voice (UK) - Season 2
The lad who Sir Tom Jones sent through earlier (Joseph?) is also really good. He's like a chubby Jahmene from X Factor...only Joseph can actually sing.

The Voice (UK) - Season 2
Interesting how Karl got the free pass, yet Mitchell and Andrea have given the better performances imo.

What are the chances of 'I Love It' getting pushed BACK a week to avoid a clash with John Newman? (they've kept pushing it back, and back, and back - another week won't hurt anyone :D )

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 2nd June 2013
As much as I'd prefer to see this happen, I think Union J's sales on Sunday alone will help them remain top 5 until Sunday. I'm ready to LOL next week though when they plummet something like 04-22 without the pre-order sales and nobody left who is remotely interested in buying the song. :D Fuse will definitely be higher than Union J next week and could even end up outselling 'Carry You' in the long run.

The Voice (UK) - Season 2
The only problem with each mentor having one act left in the final means that someone who came second might've had more votes than someone who won in another group. So having one act per mentor in the final doesn't represent the 4 most popular contestants with the public. If the final 4 consisted of Sir Tom Jones (3 acts left) and Will.I.Am (1 act left) then there's bugger all Jessie J or Danny can do about it. That's why I'd agree with the US format. If they're popular enough with the public vote, they deserve to stay.

Union J down to no. 6 on iTunes singles chart, and down to no. 18 with the EP. My faith in the UK charts is restored (for now). G'won Robin Thicke. Grab that second week at the top. :D

** Hitstastic Top 40 Singles **
Cheers Klumzee :D 09 (11) NONONO - Pumpin' Blood (23-11-09) [3 wks] This is an ITV advert! Would love this to be successful! I also heard this being used as a soundbite advertising some TV programme. It's a great track, the quality of BJSC LIII really was outstanding imo. I already doubt the latest BJSC contest will have as much of an impact (ie; not as many entries heading for my top 10) 28 (--) Lorde - Royals (28) [1 wk] Still baffled by how poorly this did in BJSC. Easily one of my best discoveries from that contest. I also expected 'Royals' to be really well but again it probably got overshadowed by so many tracks that made the final. I reckon Lorde would've done better had the song been entered into BJSC LIV. 32 (27) Krewella - Alive (01-01-01-01-03-03-06-09-14-19-22-27-32) [13 wks] Is there a UK release planned soon for this? Too good to breeze past us! I hope so. :D Sadly it's starting to drop down the US Billboard Top 100. Was hoping it'd climb high up and get more notice/attention but it might not take off at all now in the UK. I do hope the radio edit gets added to iTunes at some point.

how many songs will end the year with a million sales
I've voted 3. Daft Punk is going to be a million seller. That leaves two more potential million sellers. 'Blurred Lines' could be heading that way but it does depend on how fast the sales decrease week-on-week. According to Kworb, it's lead has extended again to almost double that of 'La La La' (I don't see Naughty Boy's track becoming a million seller anytime soon). Passenger could well get there if its sales remain consistant whilst it's still comfortably inside the UK top 10. As others have said, it'll probably get its millionth sale in the first week of 2014 with the iTunes gift card effect, or something like that. 'I Love It' probably lost its chance by holding it back 3/4 months from its original UK release date. Could've been on 300k by now and well on its way to a million seller. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Icona Pop end up doing a Rita Ora/Sak Noel (#1 after being held back for months, but nobody buys the song because they're bored of it/illegally downloaded it months ago...and are bored of it). Which leaves a third, and who knows what's around the corner.

#2 hits that were blocked by 2 or more songs at #1?
Whilst I'd agree on that now in 2013, I was 9 years old when 'Turtle Power' and 'Itsy Bitsy...' were topping the charts, and they were two of my fave songs in the chart at the time. Naturally, my 9 year old self was disappointed when the more credible 'The Joker' became the next UK #1 hit. :D

#2 hits that were blocked by 2 or more songs at #1?
Iirc, 'Just Lose It' was going to get released a week later then the record company decided to bring the release date forward so that there would be all these US acts all competing for the #1 spot. Had this remained as originally planned, 'Lose My Breath' may well have had at least 1 week at no. 1, which would've meant an Eminem Vs U2 battle (I would've been team U2 had that been the case). Speaking of Eminem, 'Love The Way You Lie' was kept off #1 by Yolanda Be Cool, Flo Rida, Roll Deep and Taio Cruz.

Britains Got Talent Series 7
Might as well do a BGT 2013 rate. :D 1st/2nd = Attraction/Francine Lewis <--- too close to seperate 3rd = Jack <--- you remind me of a young Joe Pasquale with a deeper voice[/Louis] 4th = The Luminites <--- the best musical act in the final without doubt 5th = Asanda <--- a really good singer, imagine what she could be like by the time she's 18 - either a spoilt brat with 3 kids or a star in the making 6th = Pre Skool <--- yes, 6th because they get the "aww so cute" vote. 7th = Arixsandra <--- very good vocals but unlike Asanda is a bit more "been there, done that..." 8th = Gabz <--- not the best singer in the final, imo, and is only here thanks to singing one original song twice. It's sink or swim time imo. 9th = Jordan <--- Ireland's answer to Ed Sheeran. We already have Ed Sheeran. Do we need a clone? No...not really 10th = Richard & Adam <--- good singers, yes, but like Arixsandra it's very "been there..." again, and they're only this popular because of their nan, let's face it. So my criticisms are for my bottom 4. Gabz could yet win me over but atm I'm unconvinced.

Britains Got Talent Series 7
I hate to be negative but Jordan O'Keefe, for me, would be a really anti climatic winner. The RVP will have plenty of singers in the line up anyways, do we really need to add another who will just use those 3/4 minutes to do what Ed Sheeran was doing in 2011? I'd rather have Ed Sheeran. Ironic that he's performing at the final though. Hmm!!! <_< Same with the two brothers who sing opera. Again, they would be disappointing winners imo. I clearly have my favourites in the final and none of them sing.

Britains Got Talent Series 7
That is crazy stuff. I've never seen a dog somersault...ever!!! :o (until now that is but still)
