It does say alot about this years series compared to the non event that was BGT 2011 (won by that Jai fella who sang...who nobody remembers). I almost feel sorry for Pre-Skool because two years ago, they would've wiped the floor with the "talent" on offer back then. That was a shockingly bad series. Amanda Holden was right last night to say this is the closest fought final since Diversity/Susan Boyle in 2009.

If there's any justice in the world, Union J won't even be close to being a no. 1 contender. Whilst I'm still kinda 50/50 with 'La La La' I'd much rather see Naughty Boy holding them at no. 3 at the most. I look forward to seeing how far Union J plummet next week (because that's exactly what is going to happen). :D

I agree that Now 43 was a great compilation. It's quicker for me to list the songs I can't stand. :lol: CD 1 = Tracks 2, 11, 12, 13, 14, 20 CD 2 = Tracks 12 (not that it's bad, I just never "got" Cast overall :D ) In fact, Cast aside I like every other track on disk 2 to some extent.

Attraction are outstanding, their act is fantastic. If they do get through to the final (well, surely they will) then I'll be rooting for Attraction and Francine as they are truly two of the best acts I've seen this series.

Is 'Reload' really being expected to do big things? I saw it #1 on Sweden's iTunes chart last week (or maybe the week before) and gave it a listen on YouTube but it didn't sound like a monster hit in waiting. Doubt it'll be as successful as 'Don't You Worry Child' anyways.

My issue with this whole "#1 in **number** countries" is that it's not actually official. At this years Brit Awards, James Corden told One Direction that 'OWOA' was #1 in something like 36 countries which was nonsense. Going to #1 on iTunes doesn't mean you're officially #1 in that country for the week. However, 'Get Lucky' has been a far more successful single. Bre's pretty much summed it up in the above post.

I reckon John Newman will be #1. Icona Pop will have missed their oppotunity by then, the record company really are clueless if they insist on holding the release of 'I Love It' for another 4 weeks - with its use in the TV commercials, and the Soundbite for Smash Hits TV releasing sooner would be better (generate more sales). Would love for Icona Pop to get released this coming Sunday and give Union J a run for their money but alas that ain't going to happen. :lol: The Saturdays will most likely go top 5. Difficult to predict the others; I'll guess Chase & Status (top 20), Lucy Spraggan (top 20) and Sebastian Ingrosso (top 40).

I think Alex is another really good singer although he's no popstar admittedly. He would be perfect for the West End though. Glad AJ & Chloe weren't in the top 3. I found myself getting bored towards the end of their performance.

I would be delighted to see Attraction win BGT. Their act is so unique and clever how it works, they would make an excellent winner and would be a fantastic addition to the line up of the Royal Variety Performance. However, the judges keep harping on about "it's all about the kids" and "Little Britain's Got Talent" so I'm fully expecting a child act to win.

I have that on double cassette and it seemed like the compiler was expecting 'Don't Want To Forgive Me Now' by Wet Wet Wet to be a #1 hit. 'Think Of You' is also a fine slice of Europop. My first Now! album was Now! 17 from the summer of 1990. That takes me back completely. :lol:

Jack is a brilliant comedian. He's just naturally funny without being irritating (unlike the lad who did impressions last night who came across excrutiatingly OTT in comparison). Think it's safe to say that the winner of BGT 2013 will be a child act.

#00274E hosted the final of BJSC LIV in a two part spectacular over the bank holiday weekend with the results concluding last night. In a nailbiting fight to the end, it was Skall who were rewarded their debut win after entering the sublime 'Supreme' by Postiljonen. So popular was the song with the people of Batidas, it accounted for 78% of the votes in SF1 and held up extremely well in the final with the track receiving 56% of the overall votes. Well done Skall. :D Meanwhile Batidas finished further down the scoreboard in 24th place with our representative Alex Hepburn 'Under'. On a final note, Batidas officials have already chosen our next entry and look forward to visiting Skall next month. **article published in The Daily Hits 28th May 2013
