Quite shocking when you think about it. :lol: Anyways, looks like Naughty Boy is definitely going to be no. 1 this week. I expected the album version of 'Get Lucky' to be a lot higher than it currently is (no. 16 when I just checked) so Daft Punk will have to settle for no. 2 now. Still don't see 'La La La' sticking around and just seems like one of those "moment" songs that goes to no. 1, then in a few years from now people will look back and think "wow, I forgot that was a UK no. 1 hit". A regular theme then with the UK charts. :D

'La La La' was always going to do well as it was as high as #10 iirc on pre-orders. The song is ok but nothing fantastic, imo, although I'm sure there are people out there who probably prefer 'La La La' to 'Get Lucky'. It's just a shame that 'La La La' is a bonafide one week wonder in the making and I just don't see it having a long chart run. 'So Good To Me' seemed to have potential based on its pre-orders yet it's already down 02-07 in the UK charts.

On an unrelated note, how come Daft Punk's album is already available to buy in other countries iTunes stores, but not on UK iTunes? I know Ireland generally get everything released on Friday. I know it's been mentioned before but they really should allow albums to be released on Sunday's now we're fully into the digital age. It's a weekend, so more people are likely to be at home and I'm convinced it'd boost first week sales of an album. Sunday sales are usually vital for a track's performance in the singles chart so albums should get released on Sundays too imo.

It was definitely a joke (a brilliant one as well) as 'Fångad Av En Stormvind' (the 1991 Sweden entry) translates to something like 'Caught In A Storm Wind' so yes, Carola was literally caught in a storm wind. :D Oh, and I'll echo the YES PLS for Little Boots for Eurovision just as long as she enters a track on par with 'Remedy'.

If albums were released on Sundays, I reckon the album version of 'Get Lucky' would probably already be in the top 10 by now. I think the era should last another week. That said, it would be a massive turn up for the books if Daft Punk actually kept Robin Thicke off #1 though.

It actually was #10 on iTunes earlier this morning but then 'La La La' overtook and pushed it back down to #11. It is gaining on Wretch 32 so could well go top 10 on iTunes again. Is it any good? I look at the act and automatically think "yeah, I doubt I'll like that song".

I still think it's going to be a close race for #1. I've noticed on other countries iTunes charts, they've got 'Get Lucky (Radio Edit)' and 'Get Lucky' (Album Version) both high up their iTunes charts so I reckon the album version of 'Get Lucky' is also possibly going to make the top 10 at least on UK iTunes once the album is released tomorrow. The combined sales could quite easily ensure Daft Punk get a fifth week at #1.

So the UK should forget the Eastern European voting block and enter a song that'd appeal to the rest of Europe. I'm sure UK could win Eurovision without getting points from Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Albania etc... I even think if the UK sent Hurts this year, we wouldn't have fared much better. :(

Aww, I thought their presenting was perfect for Eurovision. Petra showed more personality in one minute than Azerbaijan showed in one evening last year. I know some countries take Eurovision seriously but I thought the balance between fun, entertaining and serious was spot on.
