After storming BJSC LIII, #00274E have the pleasure of hosting BJSC LIV. The semi final voting stage of the competition opened last night and Batidas have been drawn 21st in SF1. This month sees British born Alex Hepburn representing us with her single 'Under' which is already proving a massive hit in central Europe. Taken from her debut album 'Together Alone', Alex told The Daily Hits "I'm really looking forward to performing in #00274E and hope that everyone loves the song as much as I do". I still haven't a clue who is who but the man who sang 'I Won't Let You Go' and won that battle won me over last night. Don't think he's winning material - certainly would likely go the same way as Leanne Mitchell if he did. Haven't really got a favourite either for this series atm, whereas last year I was fully behind Tyler James and, to a lesser extent, Bo Brice.

Looking at the dates, that means 'Blurred Lines' will be released in FIVE weeks time which is just laughable. :lol: If anything (knowing how UK iTunes operates), 'Blurred Lines' will probably be this years 'Whistle' get released on a Friday, enter at #2 then be blocked from #1 the following week by something crap like Union J. Then The Wanted have an easier chance of getting to #1. The idea of two decent running #1 hits back to back would be great, but it's just never going to happen. It's the UK after all. The record companies will be doing everything they can to ensure Union J and The Wanted get their one week at no. 1 before the inevitable tumble out of the top 40 five weeks later. -_- 'Blurred Lines' will most likely still be top 10 when Union J drop out of the top 40. :D

Exactly. Who thought 'Sexy And I Know It' would become a huge hit after the absolute failure of 'Champagne Showers'. Also 'Tonight I'm Getting Over You' seems to be doing better than 'This Kiss' could even dream of. The simple truth is the record company failed by choosing crap songs and making them singles.

When I heard 'Slip' for the first time, it just screamed "hit" to me. The lack of Radio 1 airplay is irrelevant (again). :D I still predict Stooshe will be #5 at the most come next Sunday. 'Waterfalls' was a poor single but it just reaked of "the record company made us record this". 'Slip', imo, is the real follow up to 'Black Heart'.

I don't see the harm in recycling acts you've already entered. If anything, it shows that you really are keen that acts music if you feel they're worthy enough to be entered more than once. SX and Kimbra are the two acts I've recycled.

That'll be because Daft Punk are still selling in large amounts. Just gone onto Kworb and noticed Passenger is back down to 0.5272. I'm now even more convinced that 'Get Lucky' will get another week at no. 1 - possibly with sales over 100k again too. :D

...but then you could argue that 'Get Lucky' sounds very dated, but it's an incredible song. So it doesn't really matter? :D

'Heart Attack' is only going to appeal to people under 20 (most likely even 16) and I really don't see the song sticking around. Reckon it'll have a similar chart run to 'Alone Again' by Alyssa Reid.

I had a gut feeling Stooshe would be a potential top 5 hit so if it keeps climbing it's very likely to get there. Demi was always going to smash but even I'm surprised at how well Tich has taken off - even with the pre-orders. I wouldn't have predicted 'Dumb' to go top 10 but at this rate it could well get there. Just think once 'Blurred Lines' is released, it'll probably shoot to no. 1 on iTunes if Demi can get to no. 8 so quickly.

Have to admit, those 2 young lads singing 'Little Talks' on BGT was an inspired song choice. Also changed my opinion on the fella who won the battle on The Voice after singing 'I Won't Let You Go'. Didn't like him at all in the blind auditions, but wow he really sold it on tonight's show.
