This is what irritates me about UK iTunes. I've discovered a fair few songs in the last year that I've wanted to buy on iTunes only to discover it's not there, but some tacky cheap version is instead. :( 'I Love It' is (or at least it was when I checked about 2 months ago) available to buy on iTunes but only via some compilation album but sadly it was "album only" which meant buying the whole album just to get the one track I really want. Needless to say, I didn't buy it. 'I Follow Rivers (The Magician Remix)' is another track I've wanted to buy for about 18 months but it's the same again - album only on some compilation. <_<

Cheers Rich :D 01 (--) Daft Punk feat. Pharrell - Get Lucky (01) [1 wk] Brilliant #1 debut for a great song, they've had a few big hits in my chart before, mainly with the Discovery era. Digital Love went to #1 and Aerodynamic was a #3... Awesome doesn't even cover it. I don't think anyone expected this so it's very welcome. I had it on Capital FM (the music channel that is) this morning, and they've actually made their own video for 'Get Lucky' based around the SNL advert they made. I thought they did a really good job of making the music video. 06 (--) Lana Del Rey - Young And Beautiful (06) [1 wk] Her best song in a while, very classy and melodic As I posted above, this is actually Lana's lowest peaking single for me to date but it was down to only hearing it for the first time towards the end of last week. It's done well to get this high but there's just something I really like about Lana Del Rey. I think it'll take some doing for Lana to score another hit in my chart as big as 'Video Games' though. 08 (--) Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding - I Need Your Love (08) [1 wk] 18 Months has been a strange era, some songs I LOVE (Let's Go/Drinking From The Bottle/We Found Love), others I've only liked or tolerated (this, Bounce, We'll Be Coming Back). I know everybody has different opinions on them though I agree, but it appears the songs we like the most don't quite match up. :lol: Obviously 'We Found Love' is just solid gold, can't fault that song one bit. The perfect dance/pop song. However, 'Bounce' sounds incredibly limp - still think that now when I do hear it. 'Let's Go' was ok at best. 'Drinking From The Bottle' didn't really connect with me in a way I would've expected. Which leaves this and 'We'll Be Coming Back' as his best two singles imo. Poor FORGOTTON 'Sweet Nothing' but no surprises there, I still think it's a poor attempt at recreating 'Spectrum (Calvin Harris Remix)'. :P 32 (--) Blue - Hurt Lovers (32) [1 wk] Where did I Can get for you in 2011? 'I Can' got to #10 in my chart. Eurovision 2011 didn't really live up to expectations for me in the end. 'Popular' became the biggest Eurovision hit in my chart in 2011 but it tailed off really quickly. Nothing I've heard from Eurovision 2013 so far has made me think "ooohh, that's actually brilliant" in the same way Loreen did last year.

01 (--) Daft Punk feat. Pharrell - Get Lucky (01) [1 wk] bugger I missed the snap button this week :P What were you thinking? :P Nah, I'm kidding. Everyone compiles their charts in different ways. Some prefer the low new entries climbing to their peak. For me, if a song is instant and I love it instantly then for me it's pointless to chart in at #34 then let it climb to #1 4 weeks later when my love for the song has dwindled slightly. I still adore 'Uncover' and had it not been for Daft Punk, Zara would've been looking at 4 weeks at least at #1 in my chart. Now it looks like my top 2 are gonna be static for a couple of weeks - nothing else comes close at the moment, not even MKTO. 39 (--) Vampire Weekend - Diane Young (39) [1 wk] I was on the fence over the track, beginning to grow on me It's an odd song I will admit, but there's something about the track that draws me in. Can't see it getting another week in my top 40 so is most likely going to drop out next week.

Cheers Liam :D 'Get Up'? :kink: I agree though about Daft Punk's track though. It's incredible how fast it's taken since its Friday release and how it's gone from selling 50k in 2 days, 155k last week and has already sold 70k so far this week. I always support the genuine big hits and it looks like 2013 has finally found it's genuine big hit. Who expected this to happen though a month ago? :D I do like Lana Del Rey, ever since I discovered 'Video Games' via BJSC, I've just been captivated by Lana's vocals. I also admire her ability to create a really strong melody in her songs. It's her lowest peaking song in my chart (although some artists don't even make my top 10 with their "best" songs!!! :P ) but that's really down to only hearing late last week. I even considered holding it back a week to get a higher entry in my next chart but in the end decided to chart it this week. Paramore's song is brilliant so don't let the #29 entry fool anyone. It's definitely going to climb up my chart, it's just ended up lower due to the BJSC effect and my bigger fave tracks in the UK chart right now. 'Still Into You' will, without doubt, become their biggest hit in my chart. Well, they're only other hit for me is 'Now' so :P

The rare occasion where my personal chart #1s mirrored the UK charts for more than 3 songs: Dizzee Rascal featuring Calvin Harris and Chrome "Dance Wiv Me" Kid Rock "All Summer Long" Katy Perry "I Kissed a Girl" Kings of Leon "Sex on Fire" Pink "So What" Only difference being I had Eric Prydz 'Pjanoo' #1 between Katy Perry and Kings Of Leon but whilst the charts were slow in 2008, the quality of chart toppers were much better than it could've been ('When I Grow Up', 'The Shock Of The Lightning, Don't Call This Love, etc... **shudders** )

I'd like to add Krewella 'Alive' to the list. :dance: Would like to see this become a summer anthem and a big hit in the process.

'Get Up (Rattle)' = ducks 'So Good To Me' = giraffe 'Platinum Chains' = ?? So, if you were directing a music video which animal would you choose to feature? I'd say bears as they could turn the woods (get it, Michael "Woods" :D - no...ok) into a nightclub. A load of dancing bears. Well, why not? (can't you tell I'm tired - imagine what I'd post if I were drunk :lol: )

Last night Batidas presented the grand final of BJSC LIII live from the Batidome in Colpi Golpes. In true Batidas style the results throughout the contest were incredibly close right up until towards the end. #00274E stole the show with an incredible performance from their entry 'Look Up' by Carli which took the contest by storm collecting eight sets of 12 points during the evening. Congratulations to #00274E who will now have the honours of hosting BJSC LIV. As well as #00274E, Batidas would also like to say a massive well done to both Sandebörg and Persephonia who also recorded their best result to date making it a rather fresh looking top 3 in the final. The Daily Hits are also pleased to say that Batidas also ended up performing far better than BJSC bookies' odds had suggested. Jutty Rank, who performed their track 'I See You' ended the night with 121 points and 7th on the scoreboard. The Daily Hits tracked down Jutty Ranx vocalist Justin Taylor to ask how he felt about the night's results "it's extraordinary, the atmosphere here tonight has been incredible. The roar of cheers when we topped the scoreboard gave us such a buzz". Batidas HQ have been so busy with the organising of the event that we've had literally no time to start searching for our next entry. Big up da Denton massif :lol: Congrats Jake, 'Look Up' is a brilliant track and is a worthy winner imo. I must say that I think this final was ace - so many great tracks that made it through. Also big thanks to everyone who voted for Jutty Rank. Didn't think I'd get anywhere near top 10 so was happy to see so many big points coming my way during the voting.

Thing is I've liked your last 3 entries but when it came to rating my faves, Roses Gabor and Spor just missed out. A point to Persephonia was long overdue and 'Out Of Yourself' became a big grower from the semi finals (as you will see when I post the spreadsheets - yes, they're coming, I need some dinner first!!! :lol: ).
