I'm just as shocked, really thought Mikey was going to have one of his most successful BJSC entries with this. I even predicted 'Ghostcity' to finish 2nd. :lol: Thanks Jester, got me back into the top 10 although I'll probably drop out again with the next set of votes.

Rooney makes a good point about the sales thing. The fact is most artists make most of their money through tours/merchandise than they do from selling singles/albums (especially albums) on iTunes, or any online music store. They clearly are the biggest boyband in the world right now whether you love or loathe them (step aside The Wanted, you don't even come close to 1D). Also 1D have got the biggest music mogul behind them; Simon Cowell. The same could be said about Justin Bieber - another megastar (who is going to self destruct within the next 12 months if he isn't careful :lol: ) but again, he doesn't have massive single/album sales but his tours/merchandise is certainly where the money is coming from.

Excellent results and 'Billie Jean' is definitely a worthy winner. A song that, over 30 years on, is guaranteed to get you on the dancefloor (or toe tapping at least). Have to also give kudos to Haus for the brilliant commentary throughout. Bravo!!! :D

Re; Lana Del Rey's slow progress up iTunes, this is usually the signs of a promising single with decent longevity. A bit like 'Just Give Me A Reason' before it started taking off hovered around the top 50 on iTunes for a while before slowly working its way up. If the remix to 'Summertime Sadness' continues climbing next week it could be a top 10 contender a week on Sunday. 'Video Games' is still Lana's best single though. :wub:

Jahmene, Chris Malone and Rylan in the final 5 last year really summed up everything that was wrong with X Factor. If only we could have another series like 2008 where the majority of the finalists are actually good singers.

No, I actually really liked James Arthur's version of 'Impossible' and how they basically made it sound like 'Love The Way You Lie'. Let's face it, he was the only good singer left in the final 5 once Ella got kicked out. I think you're getting James and Jahmene mixed up. If not, then your description sure sums up Mr Butcher quite effortlessly (worse X Factor contestant since Chris Maloney...oh!!! :( )

Just avoid 'Invincible', that wasn't even an album. It was just so bad (apart from 'You Rock My World' which wasn't that bad in all fairness)
