Well, you chart songs as soon as you hear them - even in these Buzzjacks competitions. There's still plenty of chart life yet in 'All' so it won't suddenly rocket down the chart. :P

To be honest, when I first heard 'Black Chandelier' I was a bit disappointed but it has grown on me a fair bit since. 'Mountains' co-incidentally is their only single that's made my top 10 (peaked at #6). 'That Golden Rule' got close though but stalled at no. 11 for me. Their new album could do well fairly well - not massive 200k first week sales as we know the albums market has seriously declined over the last 5 years. I'd say 50k which could get them #1 depending on how well Les Miserables OST continues to sell.

Andreu Rife - Fil De Llum looks like it could climb to no. 1 next week as it's rocketed up to the top of Spain's iTunes chart.

Have to admit, Conor Maynard's cover of 'DYWC' is actually very good. Not actually bought it though. However, the Wiley version of 'Animal' remains pointless. :(

Bingo Players still got a good chance of going top 10 - soon caught up to Amelia Lily. I still predict both will be no. 1 and 2 by the end of today. If they aren't then we're looking at another poor week for sales. I would've thought both BP and AL would sell at least 60k each ('Scream & Shout' will have sold about 60k this week so can't see its sales increasing that much over the next 7 days).

 

As for Conor Maynard, 'Animal' has actually grown on me but the Wiley version really is pointless. No wonder it's still quite low despite being 59p.

I think every year we have the same issues about the BBC and how much they actually want to host Eurovision. Look at 2012 with the Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics. People flocked from all over the world to the UK for those events and was considered a great way to "help the UK economy".

 

So, why shudder at the prospect of hosting Eurovision in the UK again? Get people from all over Europe into the UK to "help the UK economy" again. :D

 

After Sweden got it spot on in 2012 with 'Euphoria', I think the future of Eurovision will continue to be either Sweden (representing the Western world) or the continued success of Eastern Europe doing well each year. Without hearing any of this years entries, it's practically a foregone conclusion that Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Turkey will more than likely do well.

 

Anyways, if it's LeAnne Mitchell who ends up representing us then I'll just support whatever my fave entry is. Will probably be Sweden again going off the last couple of years. :D

Well, it'll be a strange result if one of the rejects ends up winning. Not that it's impossible, it'd just seem very bizzare over any of the 5 TBO winners.

I know 'S&S' and 'My Life' have two versions on iTunes but when you consider Justin Timberlake was #1 on iTunes and had a decent lead from Monday night until around Friday morning, the fact that even with the edge during that time still leaves him 3k shy of the top 2 shows just how powerful Sundays are for sales.

 

Had 'Suit & Tie' been released on Sunday the extra day of sales would've most likely given JT the edge.

I'll be gobsmacked if this isn't massive in 2013.

I seriously don't get the logic of including Rejects winners in the Ultimate best of BJSC.

 

Would n't it have been better to have included runners up from each TBO.

 

The clue is after all in the name: Rejects.

 

Then 'Riverside' would have been included. :wub: Grebo 4 BJSC mod pls. :D Almost two years on and I still love Agnes Obel's track (well, I still love 'Black Video' etc...). Don't think I'll ever get sick of listening to such a sublime song.

Oh no, I also like most of them (two I really can't stand tbh) but a small few aside that I adore, I wouldn't regard it as an "Ultimate Best" list.

Oh, this list seems a tad disappointing on first look compared to the other contests. :( (I'm not sure what I was expecting to see I guess) Should be a complete doddle working out my points here.

Is 'The Girl And The Robot' really overrated? Obviously among Buzzjackers yes but outside of these forums, I never hear the track unless I decide to listen to it thanks to Dandy's BJSC L Reminise album. ^_^
