Brb, listening to Avicii 100 times!

I'm on my 4th play in 17 minutes. :lol: Such an anthemic track, it really is so much better than 'ICBTO' and I thought that was a dance gem.

Looks like there will be a decent top 10 clear out if Selena, Avril and Breach keep climbing.

As for Avicii's lead, I wonder how far ahead of #2 he can get on iTunes.

I think the Kanye West VMA incident is a big part of the reason the video hasn't been forgotten. I personally only remember it because other people constantly insist it's a great video and I don't think they would to anywhere near the same extent if it weren't for Kanye bringing attention to it.

Kanye certainly got what he wanted there anyway,a s people definitely still discuss 'Single Ladies' a HELL of a lot more than 'You Belong With Me' :lol:

As much as I'd like to agree with you on this Bre, I don't think that's the case. As someone who tends to watch one of the many music channels every morning before I go to work (wots a raydeo stayshun? :P ) I've seen the video to 'Singles Ladies' a hell of a lot more over the last 5 years than I have 'You Belong With Me'. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen the video to 'YBWM' to be honest.

I'd also say 'Single Ladies' video is far more interesting because it's got the less is more approach. Sometimes it's the simplistic videos that can have the biggest impacts. I guess everyone will have their own opinions on this.

'Bad Romance' is an incredible slice of perfect pop. Can't fault the song whatsoever. 'Judas' had so many flaws. It might've been lyrically more interesting, but to the average listener would they be able to sing the verses word perfect without seeing the lyrics, or even the chorus? It was a limp rehash of 'Bad Romance' and in no way did it perfect 'BR' at all. Not even close. The best single from Lady GaGa's last era, imo, was 'The Edge Of Glory'. It was the closest she got to a brilliant pop song. 'Born This Way' (single) and 'Judas' were just far too try hard for my liking. Those two songs smacked of "I believe my own hype".

Only reason I ask is because about 5 or 6 weeks ago I was talking to some workmates about The Apprentice and I said the Irish girl might do well, to which the others screwed their faces up as if to say "erm...no".

Saw a bit of the video towards the end of the song this morning when Miley yelps "yeaaaahhhh, yeeeeaaaahhh" and changed the channel almost instantly. An artist I've never seen the appeal of, yet I'm sure this is going to be a top 5 hit at least. :(

BJFestivalen is HERE!!! It's been two years since Batidas finished 8th in BJFestivalen 2011 with Ani Lorak representing us. The contest took a break in 2012 and returns once again with the usual four seperate semi final stages.

Caerfyrddia, who will be hosting BJSC LVI over the coming weeks, are going to be responsible for also hosting Deltävling 2 of BJFestivalen. All four semi finals opened last night and the identity of the Batidas entry was revealed.

Representing Batidas is BJFestivalen are Spanish act Love Of Lesbian with their track 'Fantastic Shine'. If you like Imagine Dragons and The Lumineers, chances are you'll like this track. If you don't, then you won't like either. :P

Once the voting for Deltävling 2 closes, the top two placed songs will automatically earn a place in the grand final in Morpeth Cove, Ashton. The tracks that finish in 3rd and 4th place will head back to Espen for Andra Chansen. So it's all or nothing, and having seen who we're up against Batidas are pretty sure the BJFestivalen 2013 journey will be short and sweet.

Avicii is already top 12 with PO only... so he is selling like 30K this week BEFORE the release? + another 15-20K from last week? it's about 50K before the release date... he will shot to number 1 in no time and than sell another 100K at the same week to a total of 150K /+-.

There's a lot of buzz surrounding 'Wake Me Up', I really do think it could open with possibly 170k next week. Getting more convinced by the day that its total sales will completely overshadow the 2013 sales of 'ICBTO'.
