I'm ready!

I am bitterly disappointed over our final result and like many I can't really fathom what went wrong. Even the jury vote is far lower than expected. Still, Molly should be really proud of her performance (at least we didn't finish last) and fingers crossed she'll bag herself a top 10/15 hit out of it. Putting aside the UK's placing, I'm thrilled Conchita got the win. The performance was sublime and what a great message to Europe (and a middle finger to Putin). Really chuffed that Ruth Lorenzo (dat hair flip) came top 10! Emmelie de Forest's performance of Rainmaker with the final 26 was a real highlight for me. What a song, perhaps she would have defended her title if that had been Denmark's entry this year? Here's to Austria 2015!

Despite being a huge fan of Popstars: The Rivals I sort of forgot about the girls until 'Life Got Cold' in the summer of 2003. For me it's still one of their best! In the September I won a local radio competition that bagged me VIP tickets to a stadium concert that the girls performed at alongside Westlife, Mark Owen and LISA SCOTT-LEE to name a few others. In fact I think it was the first event that reunited all the Popstars: The Rivals girls as Clea (remember them?) and Javine also performed. I met all of GA backstage and will always remember Sarah staying to sign an autograph despite being ushered on stage (I think they were running late). I received the SOTU album in the goodie bag. 'Girls Allowed' was an instant hit with me and I still wish that had been the album title, ha! I was hooked from then on and received the SOTU reissue in my Christmas stocking.

The Popstars: The Rivals final feels like it could've been last week. Crazy to think how many years have gone by. I was addicted to it as I was with the previous series (I was a HUGE Hear'Say stan :wub: ). Nadine was my favourite right the way through. I remembered her from Irish Popstars, thank goodness she was too young to stay in Six!! She was consistently brilliant each week, I still sometimes YouTube her 'Fields of Gold' performance. Javine was my second favourite which is why I'm still baffled by the fact I frantically text voted for Sarah when it came down to the final place in the band. I think I felt sorry for her, she was a wreck before Davina announced the fifth member of the group whereas Javine just stood stony faced (she probably knew what was about to happen). I have a theory that my last minute pity votes are the reason Sarah got in the band :P . Saying that, they probably didn't count at all, this was before the days of "don't vote now or your votes will not be counted and you may be charged". I echo previous comments that Javine probably wouldn't have worked in the band. I loved her solo stuff though, 'Real Things' remains a gem! I went out and bought both singles but I never expected the girls to come out on top.

Very intrigued to hear this. With all this hype I'm expecting a Bleeding Love standard of epicness. Perhaps she'll get a Chapter Two after all.

CANNOT WAIT! I'm assuming it will be released 00:00 on the Sunday as opposed to after the BGT final performance? Would be silly to miss out on a days worth of sales. She'd be iTunes #1 prior to the performance, a la FFTL and PT.

I'm not ashamed to say A Mind Of Its Own is one of my favourite solo Spice singles.

There's also an interview with Scott Mills on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show tomorrow.

This will be the first UK entry I've purchased legally since 'Touch My Fire'. I was quite the Javine stan back in the day before she became a homewrecker.
