Find That Song (part 3)
Well done you, right first time :P Was meant to reference "and it's you when I look in the mirror" 'cos Bono is a bit of a buffoon hence seeing an ape in the mirror. It's not a mirror, ofc, but that doesn't matter! Your turn

MOMENT OF SURRENDER! :yahoo:  Am I right? Bono screams something about going into every single bloody black hole, if I remember?

Up-Dated UK Million Sellers - On BBC Radio 2
^^ Yah. Obvious example for me would be Guns'N'Roses "Knocking on Heaven's Door" being an improvement on the original. However IMO the lyrics can only really be taken seriously from the original version which is why I nearly always prefer original songs. How many million sellers are covers, out of interest? Also I would suggest a lot of effort can be put into a cover... but in the vast majority of cases I suspect writing an original is much harder.

Up-Dated UK Million Sellers - On BBC Radio 2
But it's a cover. So it would be more like congratulations to Snow Patrol. EDIT: In fact, I'm not sure I could think of anything less deserving than singing a cover version of a song and getting to to 1,000,000 sales. How amusing to describe Leona as 'deserving' to get 1million sales. :P

In And Out Of Consciousness: 1990-2010
^^ Wahey, that's fantastic! Such massive sales, too! And with Shame still being on the charts for a few weeks, followed by the buzz surrounding Take That's reunion, and the Christmas sales boosts, followed by an eventual Take That tour next year, it should keep selling consistently for absolutely ages! This won't sell like the first Greatest Hits did, but I don't think 1 million is out of the question (although it's probably about the maximum)!

Battle of the Boy Bands!
Possibly. Of course, you have to remember that the Oasis album which set that (incredible) record in less than a week was not actually all that well received: everybody wanted to buy it and hear it, but it didn't sell anything near as much as What's The Story (which goes without saying for basically every album) in the long run and general consensus was that it wasn't that great. So there's a lot of expectation, and this album will always sell quite well; judging from "The Flood", it's gonna be great - however, if the album isn't actually all that good, the sales will simply fade away. For me, the anticipation is immense! After the first few weeks of sales, a lot of it is going to be down to the actual quality of the music, and I can't wait to hear what 'the boys' have come up with. For the first week, 500k is not out of the question as I see it.

SFG, I really like the song. :)

Intimate gig in London with Robbie
^^ The 2.4 million thing was on the radio, it's also been in a few press articles that I've seen. That's over the entire week I think, but still pretty incredible! Also, he always says there's gonna be a tour...... and I guess there will be-- hopefully before I'm 60.......... :P

3rd Single - Morning Sun - March 8th
!! Look at the Itunes chart! Morning Sun #24! Finally the sort of sales that it deserves! :D

iTünes Thread · MARCH (PART II) Broken Down
Mm, you would hope that Robbie Williams might be able to reach the top 40 for Sport Relief... but not so far. Then again, instead of being stuffed up in some recording studio with Take That, he could be promoting it a bit. Maybe it will peak after Sport Relief. :P

iTunes Thread // March 2010 // Part I
I would've expected Robbie's Morning Sun to be doing a little better, considering all of the radio airplay it's getting and sports relief fast closing in. I would've expected the top 60 at least.... but hey, it's a great song which is all that matters to true fans........right Rihanna fans? ;)

iTunes Thread // March 2010 // Part I
Defining something as completely subjective as a video being 'incredible' as fact is beyond me. A fact is something which can be proven eg. last week's number one in the UK Singles Chart was Jason Derulo. An opinion is a viewpoint which cannot be proven eg I think that, sometimes, people say very stupid things. ;) EDIT: Pardon my ignorance, but the Itunes chart is not live, is it? If not, how often are the positions updated?

Artist bashing thread
Well said. Regarding Rudebox, I mean the single 'Rudebox' was bad - not the entire album. Also I agree about the drink, drugs and wierd statements. In fact I agree with it all. :yahoo:

Haha, I agree (with the reunion part, sorry Rob if you're reading this I still love you). I thought his performance at the Brits was great. A lot of his performances, songs and 'news' (things he gets up to eg. marriage, soccer relief) strike me as 'good for his fans' (me) but probably immensely tedious and annoying for everybody else; however, I thought that what he did at the Brits hopefully showed most people that he's got it in him to be really good. Agree that the Brits was a good performance? Also, I presume you've heard Rudebox? If not, it makes for good Robbie bashing (I'm kinda new here, you guys have probably heard every song under the sun but just in case you haven't :P)

Artist bashing thread
Well I'm rather a Robbie Williams fan. But the Take That thing pisses me off greatly - as has been said, they're both hugely successful in their own right and I don't want Robbie to rejoin with them. Fantastic if Garry Barlow is his "new best mate" but please just leave it at that - and PLEASE don't release just five tracks together. I'd just find that pathetic. I like Morning Sun. It's really grown on me. Not sure it's got that instant hooky catchy chorus needed for Sports Relief though... but that's not Rob's fault, it's the people at the BBC who chose the song. I also like his swing stuff, although I'm glad he didn't continue with it. It's a nice 'one-off'. Terrible for anything else. Also, I hate how lots of people perceive him to be arrogant and untalented. I personally don't agree with this, but when he releases $h!t like Rudebox, does a fairly inappropriate (it's a singing show, not an entertaining show) and arrogant performance on X-Factor and follows it up with the occaisonal performance where his voice is just completely off, it's no wonder that many people think he's untalented. Personally, I think he's not the greatest talent, but he sure can sing pretty well. :D Also... JLS ARE THE $h!tTEST THING IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. :L :D EDITZORZ: And when him and Take That say "there's something big in the pipeline" I just want to hurt something. I mean, come on! Just tell us the whole story and do something, or leave it - stop hunting out bloody publicity!

3rd Single - Morning Sun - March 8th
The video doesn't do anything for me. Note how the exciting, entertaining and quirky 'You Know Me' video got well over 1million hits on Youtube... whereas I doubt this rather bland effort will do anything near that. That being said, the song itself is really growing on me at the moment! I really really really hope that it proves a big hit and gets his album up to that 1 million sales that we've all been waiting for. Released next week, am I correct?
