Good luck Jax, but be careful.. the jeans I won last time cost me way more than I thought. I put a max bid of $300, trying to be clever, right until the very last day, my winning bid was only $79. I doubt it was deliberate, as my identity was secret, but someone sat and boosted the bid right up to $227. So your max bid really is the max you can afford to pay, not to prevent people outbidding you.. Good luck though, as long as it's not against me he he he

It's fairly easy really. You can put a maximum bid that only you and ebay know, which tells them how high you are willing to go. For example:- A blouse first bid is $25.00 someone puts in a bid of just $26.00. What you could do is to bid $50, as your max bid. But the winning bid showing on ebay would only be $27.00. So someone decides to go for $30.00, they will be outbid automatically by your higher bid, to show $31.00. You don't have to bid again untillyour highest bid is broken. However, at the end of the auction time, you still have a max bid of $50, the last bidder gave up at $30.00, you will win it with $31.00 and thats all you pay. Does that make sense? :D
