Artists holding both/all top 2/3 spots at the same time?
In seven years of my personal chart, seven times has a lead artist had two songs even in the top ten at the same time. Arctic Monkeys - When the Sun Goes Down & I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor (#3 & #6) Lady Gaga - Just Dance & Poker Face (#3 & #4) Dizzee Rascal - Holiday & Bonkers (#5 & #9) Swedish House Mafia - Miami 2 Ibiza & One (#5 & #9) Rihanna - Love the Way You Lie (Part II) & What's My Name? (#1 & #8) Nero - Promises & Crush on You (#7 & #8) Flo Rida - Wild Ones & Good Feeling (#5 & #9) Gaga, Dizzee and Rihanna had two weeks with both in the top ten together. Arctic Monkeys had three weeks together! David Guetta is highly likely to have two in the top ten this weekend, with Titanium and Turn Me On.

2012 Official #1s
#2 Coldplay - Paradise [actually peaked in October!] #1 Flo Rida - Good Feeling [six weeks on top] #12 Jessie J - Domino [may chart higher] #73 Cover Drive - Twilight [just entered, will probably not make the top 40] Alyssa Reid will likely make the top 40 and probably higher, Titanium has already been in the chart [peaked at #15 in August!]

What are your top 10 songs of 2011 so far?
Updated with one week left. Oddly, Example will finish top on both plays and points, but will probably be listed as #2 behind LMFAO when I eventually compile my full rundown.

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit for Xmas #1?
The RATM one had momentum, increasing coverage and hype, and a (garbled) message. This one has none of those. It's happened once and it won't happen again, simply because it has already happened. I downloaded the RATM one several times because I believed in it that much and it's still just about my favourite week following the charts. Plus it's one of my favourite tracks. I'll download this one too as a fan of the track if it looks like it's got a shot next week. So in summary, it won't work, but I hope it does.

YTD T40 Singles (with estimated sales)
Well I was wrong, but can you do this anyway vidcapper? It'd be interesting to see the top selling #28 peaking single of the year, for instance. :D

YTD T40 Singles (with estimated sales)
I think he means the top selling totals for songs that have peaked at every position in the top 40. So i mean the top selling #1, top selling #2 etc all the way down to #40. That would be interesting to see.

Lady Gaga
21 Yoü and I I spoke to soon. A good song, but a poor choice for a single. Marry the Night should return her to the top ten.

Artists who overtake themselves at number one
Happened twice, but only as featured artists. Katy Perry was on top for four weeks as part of 3OH!3's Starstrukk, which was knocked off by Timbaland's If We Ever Meet Again which featured, you guessed it, Katy Perry. Interestingly, this was also top for four weeks. Tinie Tempah also did it when his own Written In The Stars was top for four weeks, only to be knocked off by Miami 2 Ibiza, which of course was his collaboration with Swedish House Mafia. It was top for three weeks. The closest anyone has been to achieving the feat without either featuring or having anyone as co-lead, is when Lady Gaga's Just Dance and Poker Face were seperated from each other by a solitary week at the summit for James Morrison and Nelly Furtado's Broken Strings.

Akon - Sexy Bitch | 107 plays In this list we have twenty-two #1's, two #2's and two #3's from my personal chart. Please note my stats were reset on Jan 1 2009, after first scrobbling on Apr 12 2005, so some past plays are not there. From recollection my top two most played before reset were Muse - Supermassive Black Hole on ~165 plays and The Bravery - An Honest Mistake on ~150 plays, easily enough for top ten on this list. Also missing for certain are 21 plays of Poker Face from pre-2009, taking it to 163 plays overall. On The Floor also lost a few sales from a failed iPod scrobble, which I worked out to be 10 or 11, taking it into the top ten also. And finally, Skream's remix of In For The Kill had garnered 25 plays, so if they were included would take In For The Kill to a total of 142 plays, again enough for top ten. Phew! Edit: It is very likely that i've never played a song more than those recorded scrobbles for Starstrukk, even taking my reset and pre-last.fm unrecorded plays into account!

Favourite year of the 21st century thus far for music...
In terms of chart success I voted for 2003. Darkness, Evanescence, Electric Six, Muse, A (few) great classic dance tracks and very few songs I didn't like. 2009 and 2007 close behind. In terms of overall music I voted 2007. There were still some good hits (Maximo Park, Fall Out Boy, Arctics, Klaxons), and this year was pretty much the zenith of indie, and the music overall was just fantastic. Edit: however saying all that, my favourite end of year top ten in probably 2004, oddly. I guess the quality drops off fairly quickly after that, plus there were some absolutely terrible hits that year which stain the memory.
